The Shop That Keeps on Giving - Edit
This is an absolutely cracking little store that has everything that you could need and more. I was made up to find a decent range of ready-to-go sandwiches (the chicken and stuffing I had really hit the spot) as well as fresh pastries (the raspberry croissant was very good), but the real bonus of this place is the Sipp coffee kiosk that is housed within it. I didn’t sample the coffee itself, but the bakes on offer were superb, especially the carrot cake.

Got some great vegan options but a little pricey for small portions but it is in the centre of town, so to be expected.

Excellent vegan selection! - Edit
I heavily relied on Ancoats Gen when I lived in Manchester! Dedicated fridges for vegan dairy and meat alternatives, including a good selection of pre-made vegan sandwiches, wraps and salads. They also stock White Rabbit Co vegan/GF pizzas! There’s also a decent sized zero-waste section for pulses, nuts, pasta and rice, in addition to some vegan/eco-friendly cleaning products and toiletries.
Read moreLovely staff, security guards and open for conveniently long hours, seven days a week! There is also a little Royal Mail post office inside, so you can get your shopping and send your post off at the same time.
The old coffee shop has since been taken over by a fantastic, fully-vegan, takeaway ‘Herbivorous’. This is Herbivorous’ second permanent location (they’re also inside ‘Hatch’ on Oxford Road) - the owners are delightful and the food is delicious!
