Poor choice for vegans

Called in here today-26th Aug.
There were 3 of vegan mains -burger, Cajun chick’n wrap and a veg tartlet. The burger is actually vegetarian but is vegan if served without chips, so I guess the chips are cooked in the same oil as meat. I chose a Cajun vegan chick’n bites starter and asked to have it with fries. We waited a good 20 minutes. The bites then turned up tepid without the chips (guess I was going to get a plate of chips for my main). I sent them back and they arrived back with chips 10 minutes later and everyone else’s mains, but I nearly broke my teeth on them they were so hard. Hubby said the veg tart was ok. Won’t be rushing back.
