Good creole veggie food - Edit
I saw lately that it's closed, because of the "pandemia" hysteria. But I am not up to date.

Good food - Edit
Very good food and many vegan options. Prices are ok, but the ambience isn't that nice, more like a canteen. The staff only speaks Spanish but is nice and helpful.

Good food & inexpensive - Edit
Love the location in the neighborhood of Gascue. The restaurant is walking distance from multiple hotels. Good variety of food, friendly people, and quiet dinning area. Sometimes there’s even live music.

Big tasty plates for litte money - Edit
Large vegetarian restaurant with many vegan options. Cuisine is mainly Caribbean and use mock-meats a lot. Extended opening hours are really convenient.

great for survival and cheap - Edit
Location on happy cow is wrong. Please google the place, location seems to be about 3 blocks off. Basic but yummy food. 50% of buffet was vegan the day I eat there.

Cafeteria Style, Super Affordable - Edit
The portions are large and the prices are low. They usually have 2 or 3 types of rice, soy meat and gluten meat, 3-4 veggie options, salad, soup and juice. I'm not a huge fan of how they prepare the soy and gluten (way too much vinegar), but it's nice to have the options available at all.

Worth a visit - Edit
Ananda is pretty much like the description and other reviewers describe: it's set in a yoga studio and has a cafeteria approach and vibe. They have a good variety of foods, ranging from soy and gluten "meats," rice and beans, cooked vegetables, salads, juices, etc. Many of the products contain cheese (when I visited) so be sure to ask what is vegan and what is not. Like another reviewer said, it's within walking distance of Zona Colonial and set in a affluent neighborhood. Worth a visit if you are in town.

Best Vegetarian Place in DR - Edit
This place works as a buffet and has a variety of local, international and Indian food; as well as a vegetarian bakery, including, cakes, whole wheat bread, and other pasteries. It has fair pricing and very nice ambiance with a lot of gardens and fountains. The place has a strong Yoga tradition and are very responsible with the ingredients they use.

A good place in a good location - Edit
The food here is good (although nothing spectacular) and there's a wide variety. Each item is priced individually and a normal meal will be around US$4-5. When you enter take a tray and plate and then help yourself to the buffet. There is water available just after the cashier station. This restaurant is within walking distance of the colonial zone, but it may be a bit far for some.
