Good Hangout Spot

We came here for breakfast but had time to kill before our coach so ended up staying for lunch. The owner was very helpful with giving tips regarding Battambang but also for Siem Reap (where we were going next) and even for China! There was a nice selection of board games to play also.

The menu has a good selection of vegan friendly dishes considering it’s not a vegan only cafe. I got the tofu gyros which was a large portion for the price you play. It was simple but very nice and refreshing, especially with the balsamic dressing. I definitely recommend the coffee, one of the best coffees I’ve had in Cambodia.

Pros: Coffee, Friendly owner, Good value for money

Good Food, Good Vibe

We came here for breakfast and ended up staying for lunch too - the owner is incredibly helpful and friendly, giving us local tips about the places we were planning on visiting. The food was delicious too, and there were plenty of vegan options.

Pros: Friendly staff, Good sized portions, Tasty food

Tasty cheap food.

Has a lot of veggie options and stuff you can veganize. It’s pretty cheap too I got the Khmer curry with tofu for $3.50 and it was delicious. The lady who works there is also really nice and there’s a cute cat.

Pros: Decent vegan options , Cheap, Tasty food

Very tasty food

Went here and had the vegan Amok, it was so tasty! Portion looked small at first, but the bowl they serve it in is very deceiving! Good amount of rice as well. Prices are consistent with everywhere else in the area. Menu is very clear on what is vegan and what isn’t.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Very tasty food

Cons: Serves meat

Not so vegan friendly

Ordered fried cashew with tofu and while we were going through drinks I specifically asked for the vegan smoothies.
They served me fried cashew with chicken... luckily I noticed the dead animal on my fork before putting it in my mouth.
I went here because they advertise being vegan friendly. They're not :(

Pros: None, There is an Indian cuisine across the street

Cons: Serves you meat when ordering vegan, They didn't seem to take the issue serious, I have to give 1 star.... can't give 0

Vegan and vegetarian food well marked on the menu

Good burger
Good falafel
They know the difference between vegan and vegetarian so it's easy to communicate and make sure that what you are ordering comes without the things you don't want

Pros: they know the difference between vegan and vegetar

Cons: not a lot of variety.

Rekomendinda !

(nur 4 steloj pro la ne-vegetarana afero)
Tiu restoracio staras en sufiĉe kvieta parto meze de la urbo kaj proponas lokajn kaj internaciajn pladojn kun laŭplaĉe senviandaj elektoj. La pladoj estas kaj satigaj kaj bongustaj.

Pros: afabla laborantaro, tre klara menuo pri veganaj kaj vegetaraj elektoj

Expected more

Vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Pretty good but expected bigger portion for that price (not full). Kind of bland and overcooked noodles, however pretty fun vegetables. Good WiFi, cozy enough, don't recommend it.

Pros: They know what Vegan is.

Cons: Double price compared to other places with the sam

Great vegetarian and vegan options!

Literally every single dish on the menu has a vegetarian option AND a vegan option!! Things that are non vegan are obvious and clearly marked.
They have delicious fresh lime juice for 3000 riel, as well as draft Anchor for 2000 :0 can't beat that price. Breakfast has no vegan options but plenty of vegetarian.
I got for dinner the Amok vegan which was very tasty, they also have a Lok Lak vegan which are both traditional Khmer dishes. Plenty of curries, stir fries, and even burritos and burgers. Love this place and highly recommend for dinner!

Pros: Cheap, Loads of vegan options, Yummy

Cons: Outdoor seating could be spruced up a bit

Great veggie find

What a great Khmer vegetarian find! The tofu lok lak was really yummy and the tofu amok was delicious with just the right amount of spice. Quick and friendly service. There's separate vegan and vegetarian options of absolutely everything on the menu. Win!

Pros: Vegan and Veggie options for every dish , Cheap, Free boardgames to play while you wait

Cons: None

Great restaurants for vegetarians/vegans + MSG-free

Vegetarian food is not easy to find in southeast asia, so I was happy to find Ambrosia cafe in Battambang. They have a lot of choices for vegetarians (Khmer dishes, spaghetti, wraps, salad, burger...) and you can also tell them if you are vegan. I asked the friendly waiter if my dish could be prepared without flavour enhancer (msg) and he said they didn't use it at all! :) That means you get cheap, good quality, vegetarian, msg-free food here, which is a rarity in southeast asia. The meals were really good and fresh every time I visited and the staff was attentive, friendly and spoke perfect English. We also chatted to the owner who is a really nice guy from America. 100% recommended :)
