Delicious Avo Salad

This place is so conveniently located near the night market. Arrived and was warmly welcomed. The menu options overwhelming - so many amazing options that I couldn’t decide what to order. In the end ordered an Avi salad and a banana smoothie. They were both super amazing in taste. What a phenomenal opportunity for raw food, vegan and vegetarian.

you get what you pay for!

4 months living in thailand, this was, without doubt, the best food i ate... but i only ate here once. its quite expensive compared to everywhere else.

the american owner is a real character, and it was weird at first that he sat right next to us and was very keen to have a chat, but hes got some funny stories to share about his past and the origins of the restaurant, so it was worth it in the end. :)

i got some massive raw avocado salad (forgot the name, but it was on one of the last pages in the menu, and the owner said it was one of his favourites) followed by tempeh and veges.

Pros: incredibly fresh, healthy food, pool table free for use!

Cons: prices!!, small seating area

Chiang Mai best Raw Vegan

The raw durian cheesecake with raw cacao was fantastic. We also have the raw eggplant lasagna. We had been to many other vegan/vegetarian restaurants but this one was clearly the best.

Overpriced; bad vibes; horrible owner.

We were disappointed because the owner seems like a person who should get some psychological help. I don't know if 'sociopath' is the right word, but his attitude to staff and clients utterly inappropriate. He also gets angry if you don't tip. The setting of this eatery is very unlucky because it is an area full of prostitutes, so it's really sad to see young Thai girls selling themselves to some old foreign men... So this whole experience was awful and I recommend to stay away.

Cons: overpriced, terrible location, very rude owner

How about this "My Vegan Joy" (what a douch bag na
name) . How about taking a slow boat to Chian with your holier than thou Western bit.. attitude and get lost on the way in North Korea:-) You are exactly the reason I hate Westerners and why I live in Thailand. Oh and of course those hot young Thai "prostitutes" as you so rudely referred are another very good reason to stay in my perfect location. Get a life Veganazi and take your pios insane attitude back where it belongs. In the West:-/

Healthy

This is the best Vegetarian Restaurant in Chiang Mai. Nothing like the rest. No cheap oil, no white salt only pink salt on the tables! The lentils are perfect as well as the Raw Cheesecake and Raw Chocolates

Pros: Healthy, Unique to the area

A must for health foodies!

A must for anyone who cares about what is going into their food - although the menu offers the usual thai cooked dishes, the reason I come here is for the intersting and delicious raw meals which is also offered which use the best quality ingredients I've seen in Chiang Mai - there is no other place making these dishes as far as I'm aware - also the only place I know that makes durian cheesecake 👌
Chris, the owner, is super knowledgable about health foods and happy to answer any questions.

Definitely my new favorite restaurant in Chiang Mai !

Pros: Unique dishes, Quality ingredients, Good service

Cons: Price

Raw & healthy restaurant in CM

Finally a vegan restaurant that is also into health (and raw food). The raw pesto spagheti is really good, so are the raw cheesecakes, the juices are huge for the price, which i really appreciate, and the owner makes sure everything is fine and comes talk with you, explaining how he made the recipes, or talking about health stuffs. You can easily meet people who share the interest for health life, and it became quickly for me some kind of place i like to go mostly to spend time with people i feel connected, as much as for the food :)

Pros: REAL raw meals, Friendly, intimate atmosphere, Priority to health factor

Manager is horrible to staff

The portions are large but that's good as it meets the price you are paying. It's tasty food but I'd give it a miss. The American owner was sitting next to us with a friend and he was being really rude about the waitress when she was in earshot. I was looking over in partial disgust at his comment and only then realised he was he owner cause then he said they needed a new waitress "because this one can't take orders properly" and pointed right at her. But it seems he's just rude all around as when we were discussing ordering dessert he butted in on our private conversation and condescends told us to read the menu properly because the desserts we were going to ask for weren't available and only some of them were. Again, fair input but don't cut in on our conversation in such a manner. The first time I went everything was fine but I was gutted I had given him money. [edited, see TOS].

If I ever run into you .... Well leave that to your Western higher than thou imagination. Better yet: Stay out of Chiang Mai:-) Yes oh and the waitress you refused to tip because you are so cheap and disrespectful to Thai culture and it's people are my family. Get a life and please make it not in Asia. You are polluting Asia and especially Thailand with your Western attitude.

Finally

Finally have a found a healthy Vegetarian restaurant in Chiang Mai. Beats all the rest more popular with the young backpacker crowd. This is the real deal similar to Rasayana in BKK. Durian dessert specialists. Don't miss this place. Same street as Vegan Heaven.

Pros: Supperfood, reasonable, cool location

Cons: small restaurant but big enough

slightly disappointed

lacks the vibe i enjoy at most health food places, felt more like a bar. the salad i got was enormous however way overpriced considering i could have made it at home easily, tasted ok but not truly exciting or satisfying.
i will say that the majority of the menu was not too pricey but what i ordered was too expensive for what it was.

Pros: large portions , nice staff

Cons: odd vibe

vego restaurant in red light district - good food & nice staff

this is small restaurant with a street-front pool table ... there was no massaman curry on the menu so I had the pumpkin curry with brown rice (฿180) and it was delicious ... the price was not cheap however both the quality and quantity of the food were very good ... the staff were friendly and were keen to chat about the food ... while I won't be back every day I certainly will be eating there every time I visit Chiang Mai

Pros: lots of vegan options, good food & friendly staff

Cons: red light district may not be suitable for everyon

Raw Specialists

This place may not fit into New Age Mentality but if you simply want the best, healthiest and most creative food in Chiang Mai Province then this is the place. I recommend Cheesecake and Super Salads.

Pros: Quality, Taste, Super Food Friendly

Tasty but pricey

Food is very nice, but pricy! A big LCD tv is showing Music video's turning the place into a dance floor instead of a relaxing dining atmosphere.

Pros: Tasty, lots of options

Cons: TV

Vegan and raw friendly

Tiny little restaurant in the red light district, easy to spot thanks to large signs out front proclaiming "vegan" and "superfoods"! Actual eating area is set back a bit from the road behind a pool table out front. Inside, large TV playing loud pop music videos and only a couple of tables to sit at. Menu is large with many raw and/or vegan dishes, all clearly marked. Pad thai was pretty good. Only one dessert option on menu was available - the raw vegan passion fruit/banana/coconut cheesecake - it was served still partially frozen in the center but tasted delicious regardless.

Pros: Lots of raw and vegan dishes

Cons: Location in red light district

Loved

So much better the the other regular type or to put it bluntly the backpacker type veggie restaurants in Chiang Mai. This place outscores them all on quality and ingenuity. I understand this type of food since I am a practicing clinical nutritionalist. I loved the Kao Soi with the vegan option noodle. Clearly the best I tasted in Thailand. The Raw Cheesecake I had to order a second to take home. This place is just plain cool. I actually like the crazy location on Loi Kroh Rd. Plenty of action. The inside is air conditioned btw.

Pros: Great High End Quality Food, Location, Lovely Staff

Top meal

Great experience, awesom food and lovely staff. We ordered raw eggplant lasagna and raw zucchini spagehtti which was delicious. The prices are resonable given the fact that everything is organic and free from toxins no white sugar no msg. If you love vegetarian meals please check out Alice

Raw Vegan Super Foods

Can't say enough about this place. It is different than any other Vegan place in CNX. It serves Top Shelf alcohol! They are in the Red Light District but still a must go if you understand nutrition and the need for high quality Vegan food. Try one of the the Super Salads with cooked marinated Tempeh you won't be disappointed. The Raw Dessert were also amazing. They have a small shelf that offers a few products for the vegan traveler. Recommend

Pros: Super Foods, Red Light Street, Serve Patron and Grey Goose as well as Wheatgrass

Cons: Red Light Street?

So Good

This place is the bomb. I have read others that complain about this place but I still have no clue why. The prices are fair or even cheap for the quality served. This is the only serious Raw Vegan Restaurant that I have personally been to in Chiang Mai. If you want Super Foods and that type of fitness food this is the place. I personally loved the veggie burger made with over 30 ingredients. Whole Grain bun option with vegan cheese option. They also sell all types of super food powders rarely seen in Thailand. Highly recommend:)

Pros: Raw Vegan/Vegan, Super Foods, Air Conditioned

Cons: Not a lot of space but enough

Disappointing

We were very excited to see the vegan signage as we walked down the street and to be fair the Super Super salad was fantastic but the rest of the experience was not great. There is a very strange atmosphere to the place partly caused by the owner who was quite intense. The salad was lovely but everything else we ordered was either tasteless or very bitter and unpleasant. A shame.

Loved it

I guess not everyone on this site can appreciate this place like I do. This place as well as staff and owner are surely different. The food in my opinion is the healthiest vegan food in Chiang Mai. I may not be the cheapest but then again neither is a steak. Their Raw Food Menu is one of a kind and worth a visit. It's in The Red Light District so easy to find.

Pros: unique menu, easy to find, Raw Vegan Food

Cons: Not really street food prices

Here, no meat options... Only good RAW food !!!

I discovered this place by hazard.
I was very happy when I browsed the menu because it was really RAW food dishes.
Fresh, creative and tasty!
Not like other places I've tried who claim that they are vegan, organic and vegetarian but offer you a meat option for 40 bahts or simply change the chicken for tofu instead.
The portions are big.
Power zucchinis pasta, energetic salads and desserts are yummy^^
For me it's a place to discover but if you are waiting to eat in a meditation place with crystal, candles and incenses everywhere, it's not for you.
This place is different and that's why it is so special.
Super Raw Food Genius's at this strange little place and concept.

Pros: REAL, RAW, FOOD

Cons: NOTHING, TO, SAY

Pros: good size, free from salt and other nastys

Cons: staff, price, mosquitos

If you were ignored then how could the owner ignore you? He was in the way! No one told you to order on FB. That is not possible. What you were told was if you wanted raw vegan dessert and you wanted it not frozen ( all raw vegan desserts are due to their nature ) to pre order. Of course you did not. Move along little one:-)

worst of chiang mai

ordered a soup, rice, juice and more juice. I stayed awhile since I met some cool people there. food was overpriced, pineapple juice was not fresh and most expensive I paid anywhere, 120baht for a small glass. met the owner and he had a disgusting mouth, talked about the "[censored] house" next door.

Cons: expensive

Purrboat

21 May 2016

First of all JASON, it is a Massage Parlor and not a "Whore House" next door. They are beautiful and friendly. Perhaps girls on Loi Kroh offend your high morals? Perhaps you should go pray for guidance and perhaps free food at one of the many temples. Don't worry Alice's won't miss you nor will the girls of Loi Kroh Rd.
