Underwhelming & under-seasoned - Edit
Always hesitant to write a bad review of a place that offers vegan plates, but. . . I got the Tuscan Penne Pasta, and boy was it bad. The only thing that was cooked like it should have been was the pasta. The brussels sprouts were raw, the asparagus was just barely steamed, the tomatoes were supposed to be “blistered” but looked farm fresh. The tomato cream sauce may as well have been watered down tomato juice. The Roasted Garlic Hummus was just as terrible. Honestly, it was like the cook followed the recipe as best they could, and skipped the steps that told them to season anything. The only saving grace of the meal was the Dill Pickle Soup, and that’s probably because the cook couldn’t forget the dill.
Read moreHopefully I was just there at a bad time for the kitchen.
Pros: A decent vegan menu, Gluten free options, McClure’s Dill Pickle Soup
Cons: Too expensive, Will need to bring your own salt, Must like your vegetables served raw
Mandatrin
I think that item is just not good because I’ve had the same experience but have loved everything else I’ve ever tried there.

Got the scramble and partner got the chicken and waffles. Both delicious. The s'mores vegan milkshake made a perfect dessert. Would definitely come back for another meal.

Vegans are welcomed! - Edit
This restaurant offers meat eater’s a selection and also an entire vegan menu on the opposite side of the menu! The chicken and waffles are great. I like the chicken a bit more than the waffles. The cauliflower with buffalo sauce is fantastic! The impossible burger was good. The chorizo tacos was OK. The rice wasn’t really seasoned and the tacos needed a double tortilla, because it was tearing with each bite. The service was great! The vegan ranch dressing and buffalo sauce is outstanding! I didn’t drink this time, but my sister had a fantastic Mezcal Cocktail and she loved it. The only reason why I gave it four stars instead of five is because it was a bit pricey. Each item was a few bucks more than I wished to pay. I guess it’s in this chic neighborhood and they have to pay the (high) rent.

Amazing! - Edit
This place takes pride in its vegan options, and even marks the beers that are vegan. The food is fantastic, the beer list extensive, and they even have fancy vegan milkshakes and desserts. A great place to take your Omni friends to show them how awesome vegan food can be. Get the fried pickles and the “chicken” and waffles.

Always evolving - Edit
I have been a long time patron of Ale Mary’s, especially since my boyfriend’s family are regular patrons themselves, going nearly every week for date night. That being said, I remember when the vegan options were few and they just started to roll out a separate menu. In a very short amount of time, Ale Mary’s has become a hot spot for vegan cuisine. They provide options for every course you could think of (mains, sides, desserts, etc) and there are now specials that they have rotating on their chalkboard in the back — be sure to stop in every now and then to see it change, there’s always something new and tasty! Whether it’s brunch, a late night dinner, or just a stop in for drinks, I have never been dissatisfied.

AMAZING date night experience - Edit
I was so excited to see they had an entire vegan menu, and this place did not disappoint. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower appetizer which was recommended by our fantastic server Amy, and it was very tasty, not too buffalo-spicy and their vegan ranch was perfect. For our meals, he ordered the southwest beyond burger and I got the Avocado Impossible burger. These burgers are the future!!!🌱 As a vegan, I like the impossible burger better because it is not as pink-flesh 🐮 realistic as the beyond, but my carnivore boyfriend loved his, even saying he would be fooled by both!. For dessert, we chose the cookie dough milkshake, and it was a heavenly, light milkshake with a cookie that tasted like dough 😋

My boyfriend and I checked this place out and i ended up getting the black bean burger which was excellent. We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer and they made sure to ask me if i wanted them vegan or regular which was a huge plus. They have private fryers for their vegan options. They have an entire vegan menu including desserts, beers, and cocktails.

Great new vegan menu - Edit
Came here while visiting from LA. I was shocked to see such a big vegan menu at this place, as their website didn't mention it. Came for (and ordered) the Impossible Burger and it was fantastic. They serve it with Chao vegan cheese and grill it nicely. Unfortunately the bun wasn't toasted/grilled so it didn't hold together well; I also think the Burger itself could be a bit more charred. I loved the vegan fried pickles, and I truly appreciate their attention to separate grills and fryers. Hopefully they'll add non-liquid vegan dessert soon! A warm cake/bread pudding or other baked good would be great.
