Good middle eastern option

Good middle eastern option if you are in the frandor area. They have been around for years, before Frandor was what it is now, so they must be doing something right. Used to go more frequently, but not in that side of town as much now.

Pros: Central location

Enjoyed my visit

Aladdin’s has a solid amount of options for vegans/vegetarians. The ones I have tried are their eggplant sandwich with tahini sauce which I greatly enjoyed, and their falafel & tabbouleh which are also great but I do prefer my falafel to be a bit crispier.

Pros: Lots of veg options, Enjoyable Mediterranean cuisine

Best falafel in town

This is my favorite falafel place! They staff here are really sweet, and the food is so good. Vegan options aren't marked on the menu, but they staff can explain what is and isn't vegan.

Pros: best falafel

Terrible service

I’ve never had this bad of service, ever. The food was ok, the fattoush salad was actually pretty good. Both my husband and I asked for some sort of change to our sandwiches - I wanted hummus instead of tahini on my falafel sandwich and my husband wanted to add pickles to his mujaddara sandwich. Mine came DRY and his did not have pickles. It also took forever. We came at lunch and they were decently busy and it was very obvious that every single table had some kind of issue with their food, not just us. The one waitress that was working was clearly new and/or not trained. The owner eventually came out and started helping but it was too late. Save yourself the trouble and just go to the Taco Bell or Q-Doba that are walking distance away.

Cons: Bad service , Slow

It’s OK

Better than most of the middle eastern restaurants in east Lansing area, but nothing special. I had the falafel with eggplant sandwich. Not bad.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Cons: None really

Delicious and

We searched for a vegan restaurant in Lansing and were very happy to stumble on Aladdin's in Frandor. The place was clean, spatious and charming; painted giving a mediterrean feel with a friendly man from Jerusalem waiting on us. We ordered take out as it was the only option, they were going to close. Two of us ordered the vegetarian mix platter with falafel, grape leaf wraps, hummus, baba gounoush and touboullah and a falafel sandwich with a side of rice and more hummus. We were both in awe at the quality and the quantity of food especially enjoying the veg mix platter with tahini sauce and the warm rice. It came to 20usd and we had leftovers for another meal. My mother, a bit new to Middle Eastern food and not vegetarian, loved it and we both look forward to going back, even ordering catering. Thank you Aladdin's for such a sweet vegetarian and cultural experience.

Pros: Delicious food, Price, Charming cultural experience

Cons: Not fully vegetarian

Aladdin's is OK

I met a friend here for lunch. I had the mujadra sandwich, which was a little dry. We also got hummus and bread to share. I was disappointed that the bread wasn't homemade, and more like the stuff you'd buy at a store, but it was ok. The menu did not explain any items, so you really have to know what each item means. I was more familiar, but my friend was not. The service was very slow, although friendly. They had plenty of vegan options, but I don't know that I would come back again, although the price might entice me.

Pros: lots of vegan options, inexpensive, friendly service

Cons: slow service
