Cute little place in Fira square

The restaurant is a traditional place with history in Fira. They are somewhat set/strict on changes being made to dishes, but they do have some vegetarian and vegan options.
Staff managed to find us a spot for lunch even when we didn't have a reservation made. He was really friendly and helpful.
The kalogerico with tomato sauce and capers was really tasty and the portion size was just right.

Vegan options available

I think the effort to create a vegan version from the typical greek dishes is very positive. The staff is friendly, but because they were always busy, and we were seating at the backside of the restaurant, they soon "forgot us" and we even had to go inside to pay for the bill. And we still wanted dessert and an expresso. 😪
However, I think the service and the food quality was quite good.

Pros: Vegan option for some greek typical dishes, Friendly staff

Cons: They need more staff to cope with so many guests, They could have more vegan options, They need to have vegan salads in the menu

Nice meal in old family restaurant

This 101-year-old corner restaurant no longer has a separate vegan menu, but several menu items are marked vegan. Unfortunately, rather than create vegan dishes, they simply remove the non-vegan ingredient, like feta or yogurt. They don’t offer the vegan equivalent. But even without the garlic mayo, the mushrooms in the gyro appetizer were delicious. Just this side of becoming mushroom bacon. The pasta was fine, and the waiter confirmed it was not made with egg, despite being homemade. It was the only entree option, so I went with it.

If you want to sit in the prime outdoor spot, make your reservation far in advance. Walk-ups were shuffled off to the much less pleasant “backside” area.

Pros: Good location, Family-owned establishment with history

Cons: Needs more options

Great vegan options

If you want to try the traditional cuisine of Santorini, this place is a great option. We had fava beans, tomato fritters, and a garlic pasta. Almost every restaurant in santorini has those options, but here they were the best we tried. Vegan options are clearly labelled on the menu, but make sure to specify when you order as the fritters have non-vegan yogurt sauce on the side. Very nice traditional decor - the restaurant just turned 100 years old!

Pros: Great food, Ambience, Service

Cons: Need to specify vegan, Fritters came with dairy yogurt sauce

Wonderful vegan menu! Celebrating their 100 year anniversary

Enjoyed they vegan anniversary menu as well as vegan pasta. They have 3 special menus for their 100 year anniversary and one of them is a vegan 4 course option. Really enjoyed the small indoor setting and homemade food served by multiple generations of the family. Highly recommend the experience!
