Good food and nice staff - Edit
We went there because we visited this place (so soaph journey) in Kyoto a lot of times. The menu was a bit different and the portions were a bit smaller then in Kyoto. But were equally delicious. The staff is friendly and speaks english really well. It’s not as coasy as the place in Kyoto. Its a bit to modern for my taste, but would recommend it.

We went here because we had eaten a few times in the restaurant in Kyoto. Like in Kyoto this restaurant has also great food and a friendly staff. The reason I don’t rate it 5 stars is because of the design of the restaurant. It’s a bit to hipster to me, I like the one in Kyoto better.

It was alright - Edit
Maybe I should have tried the pancakes, but I don't really get the hype for this place... We went here for lunch on a weekday and found that all the other patrons were nicely dressed, trendy, young women. My boyfriend and I really didn't fit in! Not really my sort of place, but anyway, the important things is the food... which was a mixed bag. My boyfriend got the sandwich which was huge and stuffed with fresh veggies, and he loved it. It came with potatoes but they only gave him four tiny wedges. On the other hand, I got the daily pasta which was really mediocre. The dish was super bland (the most flavorful thing was the few pieces of okra scattered in it -- the other greens were flavorless and also sparse), and the pasta was absolutely doused in oil. I'm not one to shun oil, I think it's delicious -- but when I finished my pasta there was still a bowl full of oil left over! It was really over the top. The pasta came with a salad, which was literally just lettuce and dressing with a small pile of sprouts, though the dressing was pretty tasty.
Read moreAll in all, this place produced mixed results in terms of food. The pancakes looked good, but due to a nut allergy we didn't try them. I think most people go here for those though.
Also since people tend to want to know, our waitress spoke a little bit of English but she was really reluctant to use it.
Pros: good veggie sandwich
Cons: a little pricy, stuffy atmosphere

First vegan restaurant we’ve visited in Japan after the flight and it was delightful. Service is fantastic, the food is really really tasty and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. Slightly on the expensive side but well worth it. Looking forward to revisiting!

We had a really great Vegan paella here. It was really fresh and tasty. The staff were very helpful and also spoke very good English which was very helpful as we speak very little Japanese!! The restaurant has a really good relaxed atmosphere, I’d definitely recommend it.

a vegan oasis in the city - Edit
This is the second Ain Soph chain I tried in Tokyo. It has a very different vibe from Ripple but the same high quality food, if not even better. It is on the expensive side, but only slightly from an Australian perspective. The restaurant is beautiful, with clean white wood and a comfortable elegant yet rustic feel. Unlike Ripple, Soar has heaps of seating and a very quiet atmosphere. I had the sandwich set which was delicious and satisfying, and the pancakes for dessert.
Read moreOh. My. God. The pancakes.
One weird quirk of this place is that they brought out my dessert while I was half-way through my sandwich, but even though they were less fresh when I finally got to them... wow, no pancake is ever going to live up to these ones. Soft, fluffy, warm, and dense, served with a little cream and ice cream plus some fruits. If you find yourself sitting in Ain Soph Soar wondering whether to have some pancakes, the answer is YES.
Some comments below are saying the portions are small, but I’m a big girl and found myself satisfied. If there had been even a little more food on my plate, I would’ve left some. This place is pricey, but it’s the sort of place you eat at when you need to spend some time to relax, unwind, and nourish your body. My meal cost about AU$40 and consisted of a sandwich, some fried potato, an iced coffee, and the pancake plate. I feel the price is fair for the quality and the setting.
Pros: amazing food, good service, serene atmosphere
Cons: dessert with ice cream served during main, the price makes this a once-in-a-while treat

Great Western Styler Vegan Restaurant - Edit
This place was amazing! A lot like western vegan restaurants. The food was expensive but felt worth it because of how full and happy we were by the end. We shared the pancakes, a sandwich and a bowl of soup. They restaurant had an Instagram advertising scheme through February to receive a free cake for a post of their food. We ended up having a decent meal with free dessert for around ¥3900. Worth the trip!

Tasty luxe meal - Edit
This particular Ain Soph does tend to lead on the more expensive side but not more than I am willing to pay by any stretch. The menu is always changing and the taco rice I got was particularly amazing. There is plenty of seating so you won't have to worry about getting there early. Despite the portions looking quite small, we left the restaurant very satisfied! Definitely recommend if you're in the area!

Great options, a little expensive - Edit
Although it is great to finally find a Vegan restaurant in a Country that's not so vegan, it was a little on the expensive side. But, if you want to give yourself a treat, knock yourself out.

Best waffles of my life - Edit
We got the sandwich lunch set and the Hayashi rice. For dessert we split the waffles. The sandwich was excellent as were all side dishes. The Hayashi rice was good, but the sauce was more sweet than savory so I was surprised. Def not bad by any means though!

Ain Soph Does It Again! - Edit
I've now visited all 4 concept restaurants in the Ain Soph group and, although not my favorite, Soar delivers the same quality food and friendly service (although they could be a bit more attentive) in a cool, comfortable atmosphere. I was there for a late Sunday lunch and had the Hayashi Rice Plate which was really good. Cold press juices also available (seem to be on the pricey side though). Overall good experience and would definitely return.

Incredible! - Edit
I went here with my friend for a 'fancy lunch' and it was amazing! We had the 3 course weekend lunch option and it was well worth the price. You can tell that the meals have been thoughtfully crafted and quality ingredients are have been used. The place has a nice interior and the staff are friendly and English-speaking. We had a wonderful experience and I recommend this place to anyone looking for quality vegan cuisine.

I had the deli set lunch and the waffle set for desert, plus a cup of coffee. Nor the deli neither the waffle set weren't very rich ... In the deli, a very large amount of green salad, a little potato, some pickles and vegan omelette, very light. The tomato soup was rather tasty, but with only two small cuts of baguette.
Read moreFor the waffle ... Too soft, fruits not so fresh, a little bit of ice cream, a little bit of whipped cream, a very thin ribbon of chocolate sauce ...

Delicious Food, Stylish Atmosphere - Edit
I was a little hesitant to come here after reading the reviews saying it was high cost for small portions, but I'm really glad I did! I ordered the pancake set and it came with two pancakes, deep-fried vegan chicken, a salad, soup, and what I believe was a kind of stuffing of some sort. This was more than enough food to fill me up and it was so delicious, especially the pancakes! I loved the young, stylish atmosphere of the restaurant and the staff were very professional and respectful, too. It was a little expensive at 1500 yen, but all things considered I will still likely be coming back. Recommended!

Fancy but the portions were small - Edit
The place had a nice atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. It seemed like a fancy restaurant. The food though was ok tasting (I had the Spanish tofu omelette dish and an appetizer with tortilla chips), but the portions were very small considering the price. I think I spent somewhere in the 1500-2000 yen range but ended up having to get food afterwards because I was still hungry. I think it'd be awesome if they converted this place to have the same menu, or a similar menu, to Ain Soph.Ripple.

Small portions - Edit
Ain Soph presents itself as a high class vegan restaurant. And that's exactly what we felt like having. So we visited Ain Soph Soar in Ikebukuro. The place is rather easy to find (near one of the larger back entrances to Sunshine City) and it looks beautiful. The atmosphere is tranquil and peaceful.
Read moreThe kitchen seems to operate in that same tranquil rhythm, because it took a long time for the order to arrive at the table. And... the portions are small. Disappointingly small.
We ordered the falafel plate and when the waitress finally brought it to the table I looked at her with a puzzled face. Is this really all? Her stale face said it all: yes, that's it. The plate contained three tiny pieces of falafel, no pita bread, no dip. That's 333 yen per bite! The tempeh burger was also tiny, but it least it came with a few leafs of lettuce.
The "burger" with miso sauce and yams didn't look very attractive on the menu (in English, with pictures) but it was the best piece of the meal. It's rich in taste and somewhat heavy on the stomach (which was most welcome after all the tiny dishes before).
Ain Soph uses high quality ingredients and the food feels very healthy, but given the size of the portions and the presentation (hardly any garnishing) it's way overpriced. One goes to Ain Soph for the atmosphere first and for the food second.
Pros: healthy, high quality, peaceful atmosphere
Cons: slow kitchen, small portions
