Best burgers in town!

Very sad to see this place had to shut down, they served up some of the most delicious vegan burgers in Tokyo! Loved their mouth-watering menu, chill vibes, friendly service and convenient location - this place will be missed for sure. Thankfully a few of Ain Soph's locations (Ikebukuro and Kyoto) still serve their wonderful signature burgers. Do give them a try - the patty will blow your mind!

Pros: plenty of delicious options and best burgers, friendly service, super convenient location

CLOSED PERMANENTLY 30.12.2020

I come here often and I am happy to see they did something regarding all the single use plastics that many vegans were complaining about for years.
Seems to be a very popular hangout spot for the foreigner community in Tokyo. Menu items are big and delicious and food is made with love. I wish they would have had more desserts tho!

Closing Night

I went their last night open, near last order time. There was a line out the door, and they served people long after they had to with a friendly greeting and energetic service. The food was great, and I hope some of their offerings will continue to be orderable at their other locations. We need more vegan fast(ish) food places in the world! A shame to lose this one.

Delicious vegan hamburger

Had crispy soy chicken burger (¥1,150) and mac&cheese (¥650) !
Both of them tasted perfectly junky as I expected and delicious for sure.
The portion, taste, price all match together.

This place closes very soon but easier access from Shinokubo than Shinjuku FYI.

Pros: Reasonable tasty junk food, Many choices of desserts also

Best vegan place in Tokyo

I had the Falafel burger and my dad had the Chick'n bowl, it was de.li.cious ! I cannot recommend this place enough. I haven't tested a lot of vegan restaurants but the food was fresh and savoury. When I'm coming back to Tokyo I'm sure will test the Soy Chicken burger and the Mac N Cheese

Pros: Tasty, Friendly people, A lot of choice

Cons: Not cheap

Good food !

This was conveniently located as I was in Shin-Okubo.
I had a delicious burger. It was quite big with a vegan patty, vegan cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato and a sauce that tasted kind of "Italian" to me like basil maybe.
If you want fries, you have to order separately.
I also bought a tiramisù and ate it at home. It tasted good as well !

Pros: all vegan, quick and casual , English was spoken

Cons: not super cheap

Very good burger!

Slightly overpriced for the size of the burger you get but it was my first meal in Japan. Left me regretting not ordering fries but the burger was great nonetheless!

Great Option in a meat loving city

One of the better vegan burgers Ive ever eaten. The mac and cheese is really decent too... as a vegetarian I'm still cautious of cheese alternatives but does a decent job!

Ok burgers

Decent sized restaurant. Ordered the beef burger which was a bit dry. Chicken burger was much more enjoyable. Was an ok meal but nothing special.

Pros: Lots of seating, Full vegan

Greasy and soggy

I ate the crispy soy chicken burger and fries. Crispy it was not! The meal was pretty disappointing as both the burger and the fries were very greasy and the sauce turned the burger bin to mush almost instantly. The venue was noisy and the seating was pretty uncomfortable. I might have been happier taking it to go.

Brill burgers

Great burgers - we had the chicken burger and cheeseburger. Excellent junk food. And great condiment game with mustard and sriracha! Good beers as well as tea. Desserts to die for if you have room. Great tunes! Charging points and free WiFi. A great place to come solo or with friends. Staff super helpful. Recommend coming at lunch when it’s a little less busy.

Pros: Everything vegan , Excellent burgers, Great tunes

Get your junk food fix here

English below👇 『

Ripple is a beloved Shinjuku institution specializing in vegan junk food. The restaurant is small, it’s a little pricey, and the seats aren’t the most comfortable ones you’ll ever sit in.

But the service and food are both outstanding. We especially like the cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, and tiramisu. Enjoy!

Amazing all vegan burger fix

I loved this place. The ripple cheese burger and chips was exactly what I needed after two weeks in Japan living off vegan convenience store food. Very cute interior, dessert options (which I will be back to try) and my omni dad enjoyed his burrito too! A little pricer than I would have expected but worth it in my opinion!! If you're Australian and you are missing home, the grilled onions and avocado on the ripple burger should help ;)

Pros: All vegan comfort food, lovely staff

Food is excellent. The menu is great (with english). There are burgers, burrito, waffles, ice cream, cakes and biscuits.
There are several seats and nice vibes in the restaurant (but take away is possible).

Pros: Totally vegan and delicious food, Several meals and sweets, Nice staff and near a Metro station

Classic Americana in Japan

I want to start this review by saying that if you’re visiting Japan for a short time, I would not recommend eating here. Japan has so much delicious, authentic, totally unique food to try that you’d be wasting a meal at this restaurant. That said, if you live in Japan and are craving a good old fashioned capital-B Burger, this is the place to go. My husband and I loved every second we spent in Ripple. The burrito and the burger both reminded us of home (America). The cheesy fries and the mac and cheese were exactly the kind of vegan junk food I’d been missing since moving across the pond. And the matcha tiramisu at the end of the meal was literally to. die. for. I cannot wait to go back!

Pros: Vegan junk food in Japan., Classic Americana fare., The best tiramisu I’ve ever had.

Cons: Not traditionally Japanese,, so I wouldn’t recommend to tourists visiting for, only a short time.

Loved this spot

My omni partner and I were duly impressed by the mock chicken that they put in their burritos. And I enjoyed my cheeseburger. The fries are also nice and crispy, and the mac 'n' cheese took me back to the days of the stuff that came out of a cardboard Kraft except gourmet style.

I remember enjoying the music they were playing. My partner camped out and used the free wifi to get some work done, and I hung out with my tablet and watched some Netflix. It was a really chill place. Highly recommend for a casual, all-vegan restaurant.

The downsides were that the portion sizes seemed a bit on the smaller side for the prices they were charging, but maybe that's because we're from the US. :P

Pros: excellent food, friendly service, great playlist

Cons: pricey, small portions

I’m in love

The ripple cheeseburger, it is incredible. The taste of the burger after first bite made me scramble for the menu to triple check it was entirely vegan. Never have I had a burger that tasted so much like the real deal. I can’t rate this place enough, no cons at all! Yeah a little pricey but for a vegan in Tokyo, it’s what you expect.
