Treat yourself! - Edit
We left Ahead hotel with a well nourished, moved and relaxed body and an extremely peaceful state of mind. All that thanks to the comfy bed, cozy room, small but sufficient sauna area, well equipped gym, daily slow flow yoga classes, amazing breakfast buffet, great restaurant and the well designed garden and lovely nature in the surroundings. They really have everything you need for a recharging get-away! Can't wait to come back.

Perfektes Hotel für alle Veganer:innen - Edit
Unser Aufenthalt dort hat uns richtig gut gefallen. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet und im gesamten Hotel wird ein großer Wert auf Nachhaltigkeit gelegt. Auch die Yogakurse haben mir sehr gut gefallen, und man kann an so vielen teilnehmen, wie man möchte (man sollte sie nur rechtzeitig buchen ;)). Die Hotelanlage ist sehr schön und perfekt zum Entspannen. Aber am allerbesten hat mir das Frühstücksbuffet gefallen: Es gab frische Waffeln, Rührtofu, Joghurt, Müsli und eine Vielzahl an Aufstrichen.

Ein wunderschönes Hotel - Edit
Das Hotel liegt in einer richtig schönen Umgebung mit viel Natur drumherum. Es wird stark auf Nachhaltigkeit in den Zimmern geachtet, das Frühstücksbuffet ist vegan und bietet eine große Auswahl und jeder vor Ort ist total nett und entspannt. Es werden auch Yoga-Kurse angeboten. Der perfekte Ort für Achtsamkeit und Entspannung!

Beautiful Hotel - Edit
We come here every year for a weekend retreat. The staff is super friendly, the rooms are nice and cozy and the food is amazing - from breakfast to dinner. The area also has lots to offer. You can rent bikes and canoes and go hiking and swimming in the lake nearby. In the morning you can join yoga and pilates courses and treat yourself with a massage or a visit to the sauna. Honestly, I'd move here if I could!

Das Frühstück war sehr gut, eine große und tolle Auswahl auch an Kleinigkeiten, welche man daheim nicht immer isst. Beim Frühstück ist das Personal mit dem Auffüllen leider nicht hinterher gekommen.
Das Hauprestaurant hat uns sowohl mittags, als auch abends sehr enttäuscht. Daher werden wir das Hotel nicht wieder besuchen.

Insgesamt ist das Hotelgelände riesig und man kann hier super in der Natur spazieren gehen.
Die Nachhaltigkeit wird hier groß geschrieben und somit findet man überall Details die die ökologische Linie des Konzepts widerspiegeln.
Wir hatten hier eine schöne Zeit und eine echte Abwechslung zum Stadtleben.

Von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise (3 Nächte) perfekt. Supernette Mitarbeitende, tolle Zimmer, die Umgebung und die Burg sind traumhaft. Das Frühstückbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen und wenn doch, den Service fragen, dann wird viel ermöglicht. Toilettenpapier von Goldeimer, Wasser von viva con agua, eigene BHKW, also so Nachhaltig wie möglich. Prima waren auch die Bambusfahrräder von myBoo aus Kiel in Kooperation mit einer ghanaischen Kooperative.

Außerdem hat das Angebot jeden Tag leicht variiert, so dass es immer spannend geblieben ist. Zudem war die Auswahl an Aufstrichen, veganem Käse und Wurst, sowie Obst und Gemüse sehr groß und ließ keine Wünsche offen.
By the way: Es ist auch möglich dort brunchen zu gehen, ohne in dem Hotel zu übernachten.

Wir waren für eine Nacht bzw. wegen einer Abendveranstaltung im ahead Burghotel. Anfangen möchte ich aber erstmal mit dem gut durchgeplanten Buchungs- und Checkin-Konzept. Die Buchung habe ich unterwegs auf meinem Smartphone vorgenommen und ein Zimmer (inklusive Frühstück) gebucht. Zwei Tage vor Anreise habe ich eine E-Mail vom Hotel erhalten, mit der Bitte, vorab einzuchecken. Das ging alles super unkompliziert und schnell und sogar mit Apple Passbook! Bei der Anreise wurden wir sehr freundlich und herzlich empfangen. Durch den Checkin von zu Hause aus, mussten wir auf nichts warten und konnten sofort auf unser Zimmer. Die Zimmer sind schlicht und zweckmäßig, aber durch die Holzmöbel und die ausgewählten Wandfarben gemütlich. Der Ausblick auf die kleine Straße zwischen Kirche und Fachwerkhäusern war sehr idyllisch. Das Abendessen im „Place to V“ war eine große Überraschung! Alles hat uns, von den Vorspeisen bis hin zum Nachtisch, sehr gut geschmeckt. Es gibt ein Menü zur Auswahl, aber auch die Möglichkeit, einzelne Speisen zu bestellen. Was ich ganz interessant fand, war, dass neben jedem Gericht der CO2-Ausstoß ausgeschrieben war. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und, wie auch in anderen Bereichen des Hotels, sehr freundlich. Am nächsten Morgen war ich schon sehr auf das Frühstück gespannt und wurde auch nicht enttäuscht. Wie oft hat hat man den Fall, sich vorher durchfragen zu müssen, welche der Speisen vegan sind. Der Essensraum selbst ist hell und freundlich gehalten und hat eine schöne Aussicht ins Grüne. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück ist sehr groß und abwechslungsreich, wodurch es für alle Geschmäcker etwas zu Essen gab. Zur Auswahl standen z.B. veganes Rührei, Porridge, Käse, Salami, süße und herzhafte Aufstriche und vieles mehr - alles selbstverständlich vegan. Am leckersten fand ich aber die Waffeln die man sich selbst direkt backen konnte, um sie dann nach Herzenslust weiter mit Erdbeermus, Pflaumenkompott und vielen anderen Toppings zu verfeinern. Der Checkout verlief, wie der Checkin, freundlich, schnell und unkompliziert. Auf dem Weg nach Hause haben wir noch eine nette Dankes-E-Mail und den Hinweis erhalten, dass die nicht vermeidbaren CO2-Emissionen, die während des Aufenthaltes entstanden sind, vom Hotel kompensiert wurden. Damit hatten wir nicht gerechnet und haben uns sehr darüber gefreut. Ich finde, dass das Konzept des Hotels sehr durchdacht und sehr gut umgesetzt wurde. Das ganze Personal ist stets freundlich gewesen und zuvorkommend.

Vegan oasis at the Elbe - Edit
The purely vegan hotel was founded in July 2021 and is for me a successful mix of modern and rustic castle ambience. It is beautifully and quietly located in the biosphere reserve at the Elbe and Löcknitz and has a large garden with interactive information stations (Auenreich) in the castle grounds. Sustainability is written large and is reflected in every detail. The breakfast is a major highlight and offers everything you could want and everything you haven’t thought of. The hotel has young and very lovely staff, dogs are also welcome. For Lunch, afternoon cake and dinner you can eat very well in the attached restaurant Place to V.

Nice hotel in a great location, next to a nature information centre run by BUND, and in the middle of a small park. The rooms - we had a regular double in the "school" annex - we not spectacular, but fine. Really great: the breakfast buffet. From pancakes to porridge, all kinds of spreads, mushrooms, salad, fruit, sweets, vegan cheese ... great stuff. Worth going for the breakfast alone!

Read moreOur room at the ahead hotel (Deluxe room #2 in the castle, view to the garden with the fountain) was large, clean and nicely furnished. It was very quiet at night, which was very positive.
All rooms are sustainable and have ecological wooden furniture.
😱😍The best at the hotel: The breakfast buffet. Everything is vegan and you have really a lot of choice: Different kinds of yogurt, cheese (e.g. Happy Cheeze), cold cuts, scrambled tofu, porridge, fruits, muesli, different kinds of milk, salad, waffles, rolls (also wholemeal), bread.
Dinner at the "Place to V" restaurant was also good. Everything was delicious and the food came quickly.
At noon, cake is offered. These also tasted yummy.
By the way, you can eat at the hotel even if you are not a hotel guest.
A pretty, naturally kept castle garden invites you to take a walk. You can do a lot in the area if you like natural surroundings.
Tip sightseeing: A visit to the "Bärenwald Müritz" (bear sanctuary) Müritz of Vier Pfoten (about 1 hour by car)! Here abused bears find a home forever. 🐻
Dogs are allowed at the hotel and in the bear sanctuary.

Great vegan and sustainable hotel - Edit
Lovely hotel, all vegan food and lots of other sustainable features like vegan pillows, special toilet paper etc. Each room has a yoga mat and there are yoga and meditation classes in a wonderful little hut. We loved the restaurant and the vegan breakfast: plenty of options like waffles, spreads, fruit, rolls and croissants. Highly recommend this place!
