They have one vegan ramen option. Its rather simple but still nice because japan has good quality vegetables

Fair vegan offerings for this area - Edit
3 vegan options on the menu:
Read moreHazelnut Tan Tan: spicy miso tare, hazelnut broth, miso cashew bok choy, shitake mushroom, green onion, chilli oil, thick noodle
Crispy Nasu Bun: crispy eggplant, yuzu sweet chilli sauce, cucumber, pickles
Crispy Nasu Don: fried crispy eggplant, miso cats sauce, greens, green onion, sesame, hazelnut ra-yu, pickled ginger, kizami nori, rice

I tried the Nasu Don and Bun and the Hazelnut TanTan - a bit expensive, but this is Niseko!

Salty hazelnut Tan Tan ramen - Edit
The ramen is very salty. There’s also an eggplant rice dish which was ok. Also this place doesn’t have change for cash so had to pay by card.

Salty miso ramen - Edit
The vegan ramen option here is different from that found it Tokyo. This broth is mainly salty miso. Not my favorite. I prefer the surprisingly very flavorful soy based broth of the other branches of this chain. Grateful for this vegan option in Neiseko though.

Very filling, flavorful ramen - Edit
Its nice to have a ramen that gives more than just a weakly flavored soy broth. The spicy miso hazelnut tantan men was great, and the fried eggplant bun was also very tasty, albeit expensive for the portion.

5 Stars If I Could! Unbelievably Fresh! - Edit
*I had this during my Japan trip in April, 2023, but have an upcoming trip in December 2023 and have plans to go back to Afuri at least twice!*
Read more#1 Ramen:
Although there is unfortunately only one vegan option, Afuri competes for the best vegan ramen spot out of the many places I tried while in Japan (and as a whole)!! This place ties for first place with Vegan Uzu, in my opinion, both of which have the best ramen I have ever had in my life, but for different reasons. Afuri for the overwhelming and satiating freshness, and Vegan Uzu for the more intense, impressive flavors. I have eaten A LOT of vegan ramen, and while there are places I really enjoy in the states, nothing comes close to what I had in Japan (unsurprisingly).
Aji, or "The Flavor:"
If you want a ramen that is spicy and/or really packs a flavor punch, this might not be the place for you. The flavors are very light and delicate, but so wonderful and complex. Both the vegetables and the noodles are deliciously fresh. I savored every single bite. This is the ramen of my dreams, yes, literally. I even have a photo of the vegan ramen on my screensaver slideshow on my laptop—I am that in love with it. I had to go back for a second round while in Japan, which I try to avoid when traveling since I like to try as many new places as possible. It was just too tasty to only eat once! I am counting down the days (a few weeks now) until my tastebuds will once again rejoice at the wondrous flavors of this delectable goodness.
One Con:
Incredibly hard to locate, especially if you are directionally challenged like I am. The second time I went, my boyfriend and I ended up hopelessly lost (and he has pretty good navigational skills). It took probably 20 minutes to find. I wish I could give directions as to how to best get there, but the best I've got is this: there is one elevator we managed to find that takes you straight down to the basement food court where Afuri is located. You go up a flight of stairs and the elevator is on the left, there should be other stairs ahead of you as well. The train station shopping area where you will find yourself is massive and very crowded. It's a bit of a nightmare to navigate, but if you somehow manage to find Afuri, it's so worth it!! *I will try to update with proper directions after my next trip!*

No more tantanmen🥲 - Edit
I was really excited to try their hazelnut tantan after reading the previous reviews but they no longer have it on the menu. Vegan option now is a yuzu salt ramen, which was nice but nothing special.

Amazing vegan ramen - Edit
If you’ve tried Afuri in Tokyo, the vegan ramen here is different and frankly much better. The hazelnut tantanmen is creamy with thick noodles and delicious spicy broth. I’ve tried a lot of ramen in Japan and this ranks on top.

There was only vegan one dish on the menu but it was so delicious. Non vegan partner wished they'd ordered what I had which is always a good indicator.
