I love this place - Edit
The venue is out of this world. They serve everything vegan and gluten free. Plenty of options for breakfast and lunch, smoothies and freshly squeezed juices and milkshakes. The cafe is independently run and the man behind the counter was one of the owners. We had a chat with him and the lady in the kitchen and they made us feel so much at home. On the first and second floor there is also an event space. It is not only a cafe with amazing food and drink, but most importantly a community space. Just amazing. I hope to visit more often while in the area.

Lovely independent cafe - Edit
We called in unplanned when we had a few hours after a running event one Sunday morning. I fancied a tasty drink and brunch in an independent vegan cafe, and this completely hit the spot!
Read moreThe owner really wanted to ensure that the food and drink was to our taste, so checked in with the kids what they wanted in their food and drink. We shared a cooked breakfast which was hot and tasty and my smoothie was really delicious.
I left feeling full and pretty relaxed and definitely plan to visit again when we are in the area. It's fairly close to Shudehill station
Pros: Server keen to ensure food was to our taste, Delicious food, Relaxed vibe
Cons: Venue is a bit tucked away but close to Shudehill

I loved the mezze breakfast here. They ran out of artichokes so gave me beans instead. It was all very tasty and the service was really good too.The cappuccino milkshake was also really tasty.

Expensive but lovely - Edit
The staff were all lovely. It wasn't wheelchair accessible but they helped us up the step and had space to keep the chair while we ate. Really polite and welcoming. The restaurant was really cute and warm and the food was delicious.

Thanks for the review, and we are glad you enjoyed it. Sincere apologies, we have only just seen that we are listed as accessible on this site, so we have taken that down, as we are not really. Unfortunately we don't own the building and as much as we have tried, its a very old building and impossible to change. We try to keep our prices as fair as possible, and as we are very niche (100% gluten-free and vegan), and where possible, organic and refined sugar free, our costs are always going to be higher than normal cafes, who pay much less than we do for their ingredients. As an example, we could pay 80p for a loaf of wheat bread from the wholesaler, where we have to spend £3 on a gluten-free loaf. Our coffees and teas are organic and ethically sourced, and still cheaper than Costa😄We are also not-for-profit, and have very high overheads, so hopefully that explains our pricing

Great spot for breakfast in the Northern Quarter - Edit
This great little vegan cafe was just around the corner from our hotel so we stopped by for breakfast. They offer two breakfasts, one more traditional English and one more Mediterranean, both came with a drink included. My wife had the first, I had the second. Both were delicious and filling. They also did a hoot range of fruit and vegetable smoothies, my wife enjoyed one of those. The coffee that came with breakfast was good and ethical. The lunches looked good but sadly we were leaving Manchester that day, but next time we’re in town…!

Sincere apologies, we did have to close the cafe for a few weeks due to covid, and we posted on our social media to let people know, but didn't post on all sites such as this one, so we do apologise.

Everything was "ok" - 4.5 zen stars - Edit
The place is interesting, has a very calm vibe, even though there's loads of things to look at and buy.
Read moreThe cheese and pickle relish panini was ok, the panini was a bit too doughy and thick for my liking, the pickle was ok if you like sweet, cheese was ok.
The panini came with surprise side dishes of hummus, pickled carrots and cabbage(?) and kind-of pitted olives.
The pickled veg was my favourite out of everything - very refreshing.
It's a shame that I don't like olives, or care for hummus, not really a fan of the panini overall.
The Gaia smoothie was tangy/ acidic - it was also ok.
Staff/ Owner(?) is lovely and super friendly.

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to give us a review. All feedback is very welcome.
Read moreAs a gluten-free vegan cafe, we have to work very hard to source our ingredients, to ensure that our celiac and lactose intolerant customers can 100% know that everything they eat will be safe for them. We have tried different paninis, and the one we use came out on top with our gluten intolerant customers. Likewise with the pickle, even though the celiac society state that Branston is safe for celiacs, the company themselves wont state this, so we wont chance it, and so we have sourced a gluten-free alternative, that is a little sweeter, with unrefined sugar. Our cheese is Vio-life mature, and again came up top with our customers, however, we are starting to make our own range of vegan cheeses, and also chutneys. Our whole ethos is to try to be as organic as we can be, and we love to give a little extra, which is why we pop the sides of organic olives, kimchi and hummus. Our smoothies are organic, and the gaia is our best-seller, and super good for you, but ginger isn't to everyones taste, so we can leave this out.
We do have a range of fresh specials, which are organic and totally healthy so hopefully we will see you again and can tempt you with some of our home cooked food.
Thanks again for your review.

Hi, thank you for your review. We try to keep our prices as low as we can. Unfortunately we do have to pay a lot more for our gluten-free, unrefined sugar, and organic ingredients. We are a not-for-profit, and our prices are subsided, otherwise we would not be able to service our gluten and lactose intolerant vegan customers, as our prices would have to be even higher. We use only the most environmentally friendly consumables, which again we have to pay a premium for. We hope to see you again for a healthy treat! Thanks again for your review.
