The vegan option is Incredible - Edit
Aug/2023 review: I still think it's the best acarajé in Rio, because it has a vegan option and the vatapá and caruru are 100% vegan. I really miss BaiAnna. The acarajé she made was unique, no one in the world could make it like that. The one who made the recipe closest to hers was Robson, who is no longer at the stall. I also really miss Rildo's dumplings. Something to think about. Despite being very well-meaning, very friendly and very hard-working, today's acarajé is still very good, but far from being the excellent acarajé of BaiAnna and Robson's time. If you go to eat there, be prepared to "face" the enormous amount of begging around Nelson Mandela Square.

Congratulations to Robson, Rildo and Virgílio for the incredible food..... And God bless Anna, who is looking after us in heaven.....
A pimenta é caprichada e deliciosa.

Still functioning but from time to time - Edit
We went at the address and could not find her, we asked around and we were shown her stand but she was not there. We were told that she comes regularly but not everyday, she skip some. Bad luck for us but good news that she is still working. Actually I think I saw her stand on Sunday at Parque las Ruinas (Santa Teresa)

This girl is concerned on us - Edit
Some traditionalist acarajé makers relute to make vegan fillings, because its recipe is cultural and religious heritage, but this acarajé girl is concerned on veg(etari)an and shrimp-allergic people. Acarajé means "edible fireball" in Yoruba language, but you may request it with no or few pepper.
