English below👇
Aasiana Kitchen is an Indian/ Sri Lankan restaurant. Located off the beaten path, about 15 minutes from Ebina station, we were pleasantly surprised to step out of the heat outside and into a vegan oasis.
The manager, Chandra-san, is well acquainted with veganism and guided us through the menu showing us what’s vegan. These items included...
Mixed vegetable curry
Chana masala
Dhal curry
Aaloo mattar
Bhindi masala (okra curry)
For 1500 yen he offered to make us a thali, with salad, two curries, white rice, and chapati instead of naan. We chose the dhal and okra curries. I appreciated the big, fat chickpeas in the dhal, but my favorite curry was the okra. I would have appreciated some sort of dressing or flavoring on the salad, but otherwise, it was a tasty, filling meal.
Aasiana Kitchen is very spacious and would be a great place to hold a party. In fact, Chandra-san says the restaurant has experience hosting vegan parties and would love to host more.
Next to the restaurant is a small Indian/ Sri Lankan grocery store called Halal Hut that’s fun to look around in too. If you’re in Ebina, it’s worth the walk to go there.
Pros: Staff understands veganism— ask for Chandra-san, Delicious food , Spacious interior
Cons: A little far from the station
