Nice but expensive cake - Edit
There were two kinds of vegan cakes (chocolate and cheesecake passion fruit) and one raw bar. They didn't have plantbased milk when I asked.

Some good vegan pastries! - Edit
They have a couple of vegan pastries/cakes available, but the majority is unfortunately not. The chocolate cake is really tasty, and I've also had a delicious passionfruit "cheese"cake which was also good.
Read moreSadly it's on the pricy side in my opinion, and there are cheaper locations in Uppsala, but this is a good one if you're looking for a cozy place with more than 1 vegan pastry available😄
Pros: Cozy!
Cons: Expensive :(

Delicious cake - Edit
Having read previous reviews I was curious about the chocolate cake. Well it was just delicious! Right point of sweetness, good texture, a little fudgy and the fruit that comes with it is a perfect combination that balances the flavors (specify that you are vegan, otherwise they could add cream or ice cream instead of fruit!). The place is very comfortable and the staff are friendly.

Vegan Chocolate Cake - Edit
I went here on a Sunday afternoon with two friends of mine for some Swedish fika. It was medium-sized and nearly full when we arrived, and we took a seat in some armchairs.
Read moreThe interior design was bright, brown and minimalistic. There were super cozy sofas, armchairs and other comfortable chairs everywhere. Most of the people were young and a lot of them were studying on their laptops. I really liked the atmosphere.
I first just had a tea but then decided to have something sweet as well. They offered a vegan chocolate cake, kladdkaka and kärleksmums. I had the vegan chocolate cake and it was one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever had. The texture and flavor were simply outstanding. I just wish it had come with some vegan whipped cream, or perhaps vanilla ice cream. Their assortment of tea was wonderful as well. I had something fruity and it tasted great.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit at Cafe Årummet. If they had offered some more vegan options I would have given it five stars.

Nice cake, not so nice atmosphere - Edit
I visited this place and had their chocolate cake, one of the three vegan options there were on offer (at least in terms of sweet items). Staff asked if I was vegan in order to know whether to add cream/ice cream to the cake. Once informed that I am indeed vegan, they went to considerable lengths to make it quite presentable, by adding kiwi, melon, I believe orange and some type of grapes I don't think I had seen before.
Read moreWhat looked to be a lovely "fika" ended up being partly ruined by two smokers in a part of the terrace. Not only is it illegal to smoke there, I don't think they were even customers of Årummet! I informed staff about it and all I got was "ooops"; the rascals weren't told to get lost. As such, despite the fabulous sunny weather, I chose to remain inside. Sometimes tolerance is grossly overrated.
