Best vegan place in HCMC

Been having food here at least once a week since we found the place. Not very popular by marketing but very much loved by almost everyone who has been there.

Pros: Good food, Affordable price, Lovely people

Excellent Food and Staff

I went to this restaurant for a specific soup I saw online and learned the soups vary each day so I didn’t get what I had come for. Nevertheless, I wasn’t disappointed with the pho I had. The broth was very flavorful, much better than other places I had been to.

The staff are extra friendly.

Note: Be careful in this area. Someone on a motorbike grabbed and tried to steal my purse and was unsuccessful since I had the strap across my body and was holding onto it at the same time.

Wonderful food

The food on the day I went had an amazing range and was so delicious. It was full moon day so the spread was plentiful. They have a special deal for 25,000 vnd which includes some rice plus three choices of veg dishes for a full plate and free soup. The bbq jackfruit was incredible as was the delicious tangy soup, the food was delicious, made with care and such an amazing price, what a great find, will definitely go back again and again.

Pros: All vegan, Huge selection morning and full and new moon days, Cheap and cheerful

Good local food

We had lunch here. 25,000 VND for a plate with rice, 3 dishes and 1 salad, along with a small bowl of soup. Great deal for a local meal! Also serves soups that seem delicious.

Pros: Fully vegan, English spoken, Cheap

Traditional, super cheap, delicious, superior service, English speaking

Can’t say enough about the experience. I was a restaurant manager and haven’t experienced finer service at the most expensive restaurants. I am a novice with Vietnamese food and the kind ladies came over and showed us which of the many fresh leaves, sauces and paste to combine with each dish to make it authentic and a true taste adventure. We got there for breakfast and got both of the breakfast bowls that cost @$2.50 for both. Yes, I still can’t believe it. I feel a little bad that is all they charge for such phenominal service and food. I will try to make up for feeling like I got the most amazing breakfast at their low wood tables with a friendly local customer who talked to us while the workers fluttered around checking on us making it feel like a 5-star Michelin experience making sure everything was perfect with our dishes by leaving this review. The lady at the front doesn’t speak English but she will rush to bring folks out who do then she will kindly make your experience a lifetime memory as she comes to your assistance if you fumble to figure out how you properly make the meal one of so many rich mixed flavors and textures you will want to come back again and again!

Fast, good and cheap meals (all vegan)

On top of some a la carte dishes the main way to order food is a plate with a combo of rice, 3 dishes from a buffet (tofu, mock meats, veggies) and a topping of lighter veggies. All together with a side soup for only 25k!

Taste was very good, a tiny bit oily/salty at parts, but the friendly staff made up for it. Cleaner than similar food places I encountered.

Pros: Easy buffet style, Cheap, Tasty

Cons: Small portion for tall ppl😉- just have 2 plates

Good, cheap eats

This is another restaurant that prepares a bunch of dishes and allows you to mix and match with rice. I opted for water spinach, a mock meat, okra, and fried vegan fish bites. It also came with a small soup. The food was good and really cheap. If I recall correctly, the total was 30k vnd, which is quite a bit cheaper than the meal I had at Giac Duyen, which follows a similar concept.

Pros: Affordable

THE BEST!

This restaurant is in my top 3 favourite vegan restaurants in HCMC.
The rice plates are amazing and there is a big variety of mock meats and vegetables to choose from. The staff are always friendly and their youngest member can speak english.

Pros: A lot of food for little money, Friendly staff, Delicious mock meats

Delicious!!

Typical vietnamese setup, delicious food, mockup meat but one of the best I've had in Ho Chi Minh. I paid 45000 dongs for a full plate. I strongly recommend this one. They don't speak English.

Pros: only vegan

my local lunch spot

Very traditional Vietnamese-style eatery, where you get a plate of steamed white rice and a choice of items from the buffet to top your rice, 3 items 25k, 4 items 30k.

The tofu meatballs, braised jackfruit and Vietnamese-style kimchi are my favorites.

There's a daily soup option (25k each) written in Vietnamese, so here's the translation (all use fake meat):

Monday - bun Hue (vermicelli with beef in style of Hue)
Tuesday - pho (rice noodles with beef)
Wednesday - bun mang (vermicelli with bamboo shoots)
Thursday - bo kho (beef stew with vermicelli)
Friday - bun mam (fish stew with vermicelli)
Saturday - bun reiu (crab and tomato with vermicelli)
Sunday - bun Thai (vermicelli with Thai spices)

The following noodles can be ordered daily:
hu tieu (rice noodle soup, a traditional dish of the south)
banh canh (thick noodles in a fish soup)
bun thit nuong - dry vermicelli with grilled pork
bun ch gio - dry vermicelli with fried spring rolls

While this shop is conveniently located on my route to work, it's the taste, cheap prices, and friendly staff that make it a reoccurring stop.

I'm pretty sure everything is vegan.

Pros: Very cheap, Lots to choose, Good size meal

Amazing food!

I highly recommend this little gem. I used Happy Cow to find it and was so glad I went. I had a tofu steak and a bowl of noodles for less than 2US dollars. The portions were big and the service was excellent. I tried to tip but they wouldn't accept it. Will definitely go back!

Pros: Food portion , Great service , Buddhist

YUUUUUUUMMMMMMM!!!!!

Oh my goodness - soooooooo yummy! This is a fantastic vegan place with a maHUsive range of dishes: loads of different mock meat, tofu, and vegetable dishes, all AMAZING. They also do noodles soups and the main rice dishes come with a small complimentary soup, too (which is sooooo tasty). A fantastic place with lovely people working there and extremely good value for money. This was a total highlight - and there are many in this paradise that is Vietnam.

Pros: Amazing choices, Delicious food, Cheap

Cons: That I can't eat all my meals here every day

This little jewel blew my mind. One of my favorite foods are the noodle soups which change on a daily basis. They are flavorful and delicious and all this for a price you wouldn't believe. A bowl of soup costs 22,000 VND. If you are not familiar with the Vietnamese Dong it would cost you one US dollar.

Very Tasty vegan food in Ho Chi Minh city!!

Delicious daily soups, nice variety of tofu and veg dishes. Clean place with very friendly staff. Go early for best selection, but we went late on one day and still got amazing soup. 3 people stuffed for around $5. Coming back early tomorrow for pumpkin and coconut cream :-)
