Good food, friendly service

The taco rice was good. The gyoza were okay, nothing special. The food took a while bc the lady was alone, but it was okay. Very dark atmosphere. They play African/reggae music.

Delightful vegan rastafari café

If you happen to find yourself at the Grandberry outlet centre or Snoopy Museum and you’re feeling hungry, don’t settle for the food court at the mall. Walk a few minutes to 6889 Café. A delightful little vegan café with a bit of a rastafari thing going on. Great for lunch. The ramen soup was great, the soy meat was bliss. The friendly owner gave us a free ice cream too! The 6888 Café can be a little hard to find, but follow the signs and you’ll get there.

Delicious karaage

Delicious food, but portions weren't big enough for the price.
Also, everything is in take out containers, even if you eat in...

Delightful and delicious!

Great food every time I've gone.
I've had soy meat rice plates--delicious--and pretty high quality vegan pizza, which is hard to do.

Service is nice and they play some nice movies on the side.
Just make sure you have your GPS when looking for the place.

Love it.

Pros: Taste!, Quaint and quiet!

Great spot in a vegan desert

Now that Grandberry Mall is gone, I hope people still visit this restaurant. It's totally vegan, has a wide menu, and nice atmosphere. I take my dog there, and they have a dedicated outdoor cute "shed" where you can sit with a pet. I like the wrap sandwiches and the ramen.

Pros: good atmosphere, varied menu, pet friendly

Loved it!

This is such a great place. There aren't that many options in this area and it was quite surprising to find their dedication. It's owner clearly has pride and culture. The long waits from another review aren't an issue. This is a small business and they are such hard workers. It's slow because their so packed. Everyone wants to come, which says a lot. The food was great and we even took home some fresh bread and soy meat to cook on our own.

Good food, kind staff, but the slowest service.

I have been here three times and have always been pretty flabbergasted by how incredibly slow the service is. I really do not recommend coming here during lunch unless you enjoy twiddling your thumbs for a good 10 minutes before you even get a menu to look at your options. That being said, the food is delicious and the people who work there are great but the long wait unfortunately kind of overshadows that for me.

Pros: Great food, Reasonably priced, Kind staff

Cons: Veeeeeery long wait, Could be difficult to find

Fantastic food, nice atmosphere

We come here regularly and love it. Soy meat karaage plate and shio ramen are our dishes of choice. Lovely, cozy atmosphere. Cons: service is sloooooooow a lot of the time and sometimes the music is annoyingly loud.

Pros: delicious, healthy food , reasonably priced , cozy atmosphere

Cons: food takes a long time to arrive, a little loud sometimes

Eclectic Excellence!

A bit off the beaten path but worth the trip. Great food and service with a cozy atmosphere. Close to Grandberry Mall and Theatres so you can easily make a day out of it if you're coming from central Tokyo. Stop reading and just go!

A New Year special lunch

I went to 6889cafe on 2nd January. They were open during the holidays season unlike most of the Japanese restaurants. We had an opportunity to try the Japanese new year special food which was on the menu just for three days. It was a set meal for 1500¥. There were so many items decorated nicely in two plates, plus a soup. I specially liked the triangular shaped rice sandwich. We ordered a pizza for take away. Everything was very tasty and well presented.
This place is very child friendly too. The nice lady in the restaurant provided some small spoons, forks and a cup of water to our 1.5yr old.

Pros: Wide range of food in the menu, Near the station, A quiet place

Cons: No English menu

A hidden gem

This restaurant is in quite a strange location (through an industrial estate, behind a car park), but don't let that put you off. It's under 10 minutes walk from Minami-Machida station (opposite exit from Grandberry Mall) and is definitely worth finding. You can go shopping or catch a film in the local area.

They must be doing well as they have recently brought in more seating and expanded the menu. There is a lot of choice including 4 types of pizza, about 8 different roti wraps (the fish one is amazing) , pasta, ramen, salad, curry and a daily plate. Desserts are great too and the last time I went there was a new berry parfait on offer which my friend had and she said it was delicious.

There is no English menu, but lots of the items have pictures and the staff can normally explain what things are in English (I believe most of the menu is in Katakana anyway, which is mostly English-import words pronounced in a Japanese way). It would be great if they could make an English menu though to help attract more customers, but maybe due to the area the don't get many English-speaking people in anyway. The service can be a bit slow when they are busy, but they seem to make everything to order so it's understandable.

I love the way they have decorated inside, sort of looks like a cool (not twee) grandmother's house with bits and bobs everywhere. A really comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. There is even a garden terrace/hut thing where you can sit and you are allowed to take dogs there. The offer take out and also delivery to the local area. They also have a few products you can buy to take home including veg and their own-made ice cream pots in vanilla and chocolate.

Pros: Lots of choice, all yummy, Great decoration and atmosphere

Cons: No English menu, A bit out of the way, Service can be slow.
