Brewery with surprisingly solid vegan options - Edit
This is a lively place to enjoy good local craft beer. I was super busy when I was there on a Thursday night at around 8 pm so I ordered the Spicy Buddha bowl and the vegan sausage pizza for take out. The pizza was alright but OH MY GOSH the buddha bowl was AMAZING!!!! This bowl had this seasoned rice with sriracha chick peas, sweet potato chunks, cucumbers, cashews, half of an avocado and it had this super yummy drizzle that I think was tahini? There were so many flavors and they all worked soooo well together!

Good, but prefer the Denali location for vegan items - Edit
We first went to the Denali location of this chain and were so impressed that when we went to Anchorage, decided to go back. Not the same menu at all and didn't have the same charm. This Anchorage location is HUGE , loud and noisy, and the vegan options aren't as good. They have two vegan pizzas- a sausage and a pepperoni. Just ok. We went twice while visiting Anchorage because there are so few places to go. The pizza is good. Really wish they had more vegan items though.

I visited Alaska and fell in love with 49th State Brewing Co. I had to come back several times to try all the vegan dishes and was never disappointed.

Best burger ever! - Edit
I was really surprised to see so many vegan options!! We first looked at the menu outside and they had a vegan Bahn mi sandwich listed. I really wanted to try that one, but we ended up eating inside which had a different menu. We got the cauliflower appetizer as well as the street corn. Both were pretty good. For an entree, we tried the spicy Buddha bowl and it was anything but spicy. It actually was pretty lackluster in taste except for the tahini dressing which I didn’t really enjoy. I normally love tahini dressing, but this one was too sweet and overly vinegary. The star of the show was hands-down, the vegan burger. It has a house-made patty and the texture and flavor was fantastic! I can’t remember when I’ve had a better burger. Fries were awesome too. They also have two vegan pizza options which sounded really good. It’s a big, busy, and loud place but I would definitely eat there again!

Boring taste - Edit
They have a variety of nice sounding vegan options also being clearly marked as vegan in the menu. However, the spicy buddha bowl tasted very boring. My colleagues who had meet enjoyed their food.

Great vegan options in a brewery! - Edit
Loved the herbivore burger and French fries. I also got the Buddha bowl which was healthy and yummy and the corn appetizer which was delicious. They also have a vegan pizza but I didn’t get to try. For a brewery with great vegan options, this is a real treat.

Amazing food and exciting vegan options - Edit
This place was amazing!! Really great food and atmosphere! The vegan options were well-labeled and they had really exciting choices. We got the Mexican corn appetizer and the vegan tundra pizza. The corn dish was SO GOOD!! It was packed with toppings and isn’t something I’ve been able to find veganized easily. We also got a cider and a flight of sodas which was great. We sat on the rooftop level which had a nice view! Affordable prices especially for how amazing the food was.

Solid option for vegans - Edit
Was staying in downtown and came here a couple times. So glad they’re right next to my hotel. The beer is good, some beer is too crazy and taste like candy.
Read moreThey have a rooftop with seating which I imagine during the spring summer is bumpin. The place gets packed in the evening. I sat at the bar no problem. Service was very attentive and friendly.
The jackadilla was a really interesting take on a quesadilla but tasty. Spicy too!
The spicy Buddha bowl was dank, I got that to go for later and was happy I did.
My next visit, I got the impossible vegan burger for a late lunch and it really hit the spot. Very vegan cheesy which I liked. Salad was real good too, happy that’s standard and not fries.
If youre vegan and in town, this is a must try

Impossible Burger on the menu. The bun was excellent but the toppings were pretty standard to other burgers I've had. The side salad was fairly basic and the dressing was very acidic.

Amazing Vegan burger! - Edit
I was so impressed by their vegan options! The vegan impossible burger was incredible- such amazing flavor and the sauce it came with was spectacular. Ordered the vegan cashew pizza, it wasn’t bad. Similar to other reviews, I wish it had more toppings or some additional vegan cheeses to top it off. We also really enjoyed their cauliflower wings- little pricey for what you get, but the flavors were amazing along with the vegan cheese it comes with. They even had a vegan dessert- blueberry pie and they removed the ice cream and cream that came with it. Above all I was impressed with the staff who were super knowledgeable, checked on things for us often, and worked like an incredible team. They joked around a lot with us an each other which really made me feel comfortable and I appreciated it.

Great view - Edit
We had three vegan options and I had a salad and my husband and son shared the cashew pizza. My salad was tasty but unfortunately they didn’t have options like tofu or avocado to help make the salad more filling. My son thought the pizza was wonderful (basically a “cheese” pizza), my husband thought it was too bland and wished he would have added veggies to it. We sat outside beside outdoor heaters and the view was really nice.

Great Options and Food - Edit
I loved loved their food. They had had an icon to show what was vegan (which I normally only see vegetarian not vegan) and they have two appetizers that are vegan which was Mexican Street Corn and Buffalo Cauliflower Wings. I got the wings and i loved them! The buffalo sauce is super spicy which I love. They have 3 vegan pizzas and an impossible burger. I got the cashew parmesan pizza which was fabulous and the impossible burger which was also amazing. The impossible burger has a vegan sauce and uses Daiya Cheddar cheese. I’m not a huge fan of Daiya, but the burger tasted great. The staff was also super friendly and our waitress was hilarious. Definitely recommend!
