I ate here with my daughter a couple of weeks ago. The food was amazing. the service was friendly and the restaurant itself very warm and welcoming. I cannot recommend it enough to any vegans in Lisbon.

We have been surprised to see a queue in front of the restaurant before the opening. After the lunch we understood why: the food is good, they have 2 daily dishes, the dessert are really good, the service is pretty good.

The food here is excellent, the cheese plate is exceptionally generous and the service is wonderful! I highly recommend saving room for dessert...you won't be disappointed (especially with anything chocolate). Definitely reserve a table in advance. They tend to stagger bookings so that kitchen isn't slammed all at once.

Stylish, friendly staff, and amazing food. Extraordinary as they create great veggie based dishes with fresh herbs and new takes on creative cuisine. The francesinha is also amazing. Definitely go there, you're not gonna regret it. Make a reservation though, they're usually fully booked.

Neben der Karte gibt es auch 2 Tagesmenües. Wir hatten den Gemüsesalat, ein Gemüsesandwich und Süsskartoffel-Fritten. Alles war wirklich exzellent. Der Teller mit dem Salat war riesig.

First time I went I was a little disappointed because the full menu is only available at dinner, but I went there a few times after and the food is really good, even the plain old salad! Sweet potato fries with mayo are great, grilled sandwich with cheese also. Great chocolate cake. Probably the best in Lisbon or maybe Portugal!

If you eat healthy, no to low oil and salt, then this place will disappoint. We ordered the seitan burger and beet burger and both were so greasy and inedible. The seitan was so salty it stung the tongue. The other thing we ordered was the citrus salad, which was the only thing we liked. There was even a lot of oil there, but at least it was raw oil. The concoction of this salad was creative and tasty, just they could have taken it easy on the oil. Based on our experience, we wouldn’t go back. It’s not our kind of place. I understand restaurants use a lot oil and salt, but this was on a different level.

The restaurant is very popular and there was a line but we made a reservation. We had the vegan cheeseplatter with meat as a starter but the cheese tasted like flour. For dinner i had the champignon steak and i feel sorry to say that it tasted like carton, did really like the fries and salad though. My veggie friend had the risotto and was really missing the cheese taste. For dessert we had creme brulee and oreo peanutbutter chocolate cake but they were both quite simple. It feels weird to say this among all the positive reviews but we really didnt like it. Even though i eat vegan on a daily basis i couldnt appreciate this taste.

The cheese from the cheeseplatter contains various types os cheeses, some creamy, some mozarella look-a-like, and other ones, more "floury" resemble typicall portuguese cheeses: "queijo curado". Maybe return to try something else, like lunch time, where we have the potato fries and other dishes of the day and burgers :)

We are regulars here. We've been here even for a small bite between meals. They always have 2 daily specials and normally they are amazing! They also have good salads, sandwiches and burgers. But the thing here is the dessert. The queen is the oreo tart, but it can be too much if you are not used to sweet stuff. The other desserts are also really good.

Had a cornbread tofu dish and it was one of my favorite things I ate the entire trip! Staff was very friendly and sat us even though we didn't have a reservation and it was a busy evening. They offer a vegan version of the traditional Francesina sandwhich, which is cool. Still very reasonably priced for a more formal restaurant and pretty big portions, too.

The atmosphere in this place is super nice and relaxed. The girls that work there are also really lovely and patient with the guests :) The food is absolutely delicious and freshly prepared. The portions are quite decent too so I think it's very fairly priced. I would definitely come here again!

We went there as a group and enjoyed the food very much. The sweet potato fries and garlic dipping sauce that came with the vegan burgers were especially delicious , though I only recommend the beetroot burger, the lentil one was too dry.
Read moreThe staff was a bit grumpy on the day we visited :) but otherwise it had a nice atmosphere and the food was beautifully presented and we didn't have to wait that long for it to be served. I would say one of the best if not the best vegan restaurant that I tasted in Lisbon.
It's is usually very busy so make sure to reserve in advance.

17 year vegan and I can vouch that this place is life changing good. Friendly staff, very central, normal price, The dessets were great as well. Ice cream isn't on the dessert menu but they have it just ask. The wait time was a bit long but were were there saturday at primetime so... the menu is a bit confusing, but the atmosphere is great there I'd go back 100%

This is a lovely spot near many tourist sites. I had a seitan-based "bifana" sandwich, and it was delicious. I met a fellow vegan there, and she told me where to find vegan gelato. Yum!

This place is impossible to get any seating, I sent them a Facebook message early in the day as it said they reply within an hour but no one replied to me. In the afternoon I decided to call but they replied right away they were fully booked. I decided anyways to go by the place and get something for take away! I settled for two cakes and a beetroot burger. The cake had melted so I couldn't eat it which sucked since she said it was the nicest one. Would've been nice to be told that they melt if they aren't eaten within a certain hour. The other peanut Oreo cake though was the most amazing cake I have EVER had. Very heavy but so amazing!! The beetroot burger was okay, nothing special! I thought it was a bit to loose so I kept having to push it in (if that makes sense) I also added the mayonnaise on the side to it since I found it a bit dry!

Our time at Ao 26 was the most awful experience I ever had in a restaurant.
Read moreWe had to wait 40 minutes to get a table but the reviews were so good and the location is quite remote so we decided to wait even though it was 40 degrees outside.
After we finally got a table, we had to wait 20 minutes to order and finally ordered food and water.
After 20 minutes of wait they brought a couvert (bread and olives, pesto and tremocos) but no water. But since we were totally dehydrated we said we needed water before eating anything but they said that they couldn't give us water because everybody had ordered water and they were out of... jars. They never thought of bringing us a glass of water event though we kept asking.
After 20 minutes we told them that we really needed water.
We also had to wait a very long time to get our appetizers as we were still waiting for our soups when customers next to us who had ordered at the same time got their soups and main courses before we even had our own soups.
We expressed our dissatisfaction with the waitress who said there was "confusion" on your order.
And apparently we got on her nerves since the waitress who was so rude ended up throwing the dishes on the table.
Other customers next to us were appalled and shocked by that kind of violence.
Personally I never experienced anything like it in my life. And even though the food was great we had an awful time. Not only did we spend 3 hours there but it completely ruined out afternoon.
We talked with other customers who said they were surprised because they had already eaten there but never experienced anything like that .
When we paid, the waitress ended up apologizing but there was no commercial gesture.
I guess we were unlucky with our experience but still I would not recommend it.

We are a small place and the demand is very high. Unfortunately what might have happened was that our staff forgot you were dehydrated and an easy solution has bringing 2 glasses of water was something that hadn't cross their minds... We are in no way apologizing for the bad behaviour of throwing the dishes on the table, we just wish to explain you what might have happened for the situation you experienced regarding the water. We are still working on improving that and being more comfortable with the quantity of people we are receiving these days. We hope you reconsider visiting us in the future for another more positive memory and experience! We are very sorry for the day you had with us and wish to have another change at making a new impact! We tried the seitan, it was Ok but I wouldn't say it was the best of my life. I did not like the home made mayo, it was too heavy for me. Our seitan sandwiches had not one piece of green leaves or any raw veggies on them and I missed them a little - it would have be a much nicer sandwich with them.

Thank you for your review! We create healthy dishes (salads and toasts) but the seitan sandwhich is an adaptation of the portuguese bifana, no greens! The oreo is very strong so for intensity issues the slice usually hits the spot without exagerating :) Hope to see you again!
