Yikes… - Edit
I recently visited 22B and ordered a vegan salad, but my experience was confusing and ultimately disappointing. When the owner brought the salad to my table, she casually mentioned that the coleslaw contained mayonnaise but suggested I could simply remove it to make the dish vegan. I was shocked that the salad was served this way to begin with. When I expressed my disappointment, she explained that throwing the salad away would be wasteful, which only added to the awkwardness of the situation.
Read moreI think it’s unprofessional to ask a customer to fix that mistake. Should I really be expected to be picking apart my own food to remove something I can’t eat? That’s simply not acceptable and was very unappetizing.
Noticing my reaction, she offered to remove the coleslaw herself and took the salad back to the kitchen. Eventually, her husband returned with a new salad, but by that point, the experience had already left a bad impression.
As for the food itself, the salad was very basic and quite bland, especially considering the price. I personally didn’t enjoy it. Given the initial misunderstanding, the awkward handling of the situation, and the dish itself, I wouldn’t recommend 22B to vegans.

They honored your request and you give them 2 out of 5 without a word about the food?

Honestly, it’s concerning that they served me a dish that wasn’t vegan to begin with. A mistake like that should have been corrected before it even left the kitchen. Expecting the customer to pick out unwanted ingredients themselves is both unappetizing and unprofessional. As for the food, it was quite underwhelming overall.

We had diner here. Soups were OK. There is a choice of dishes that will be reheated upon request. All dishes are clearly labelled vega/vegan

Fun place to eat - Edit
We went there last night, for the first time. It's not very known among vegans I think, but we had a great experience. You pick up the dish you like from the display case, grab some drinks and cutlery and go to the registry. They heat the dish for you (using microwave or regular oven - your pick) and bring it to your table about 10mins later. We had a curry lasagna and a casserolle with pumpkin, paprika and carrot. Both were delicious! I can recommend this to anyone for a quick bite. Atmosphere is very relaxed, and the staff was very friendly.

Besides offering also non vegan dishes, there is a lot of choice for vegan dishes. The prices are good and there is a big selection of special beers. The people owning the place are friendly and passionate.
