The best part about this restaurant is that it’s ALL vegan!! Lots of GF options, too!! Food was savory and tasty, but not unforgettable. The chips needed a dipping sauce... just something else to excite the plate and complete the meal. Overall, yummy, but well overpriced.

Stopped on our way between tahoe and the bay area. Got 2 veggie burgers, 2 smoothies, and 1 cheese cake, which ran me $50 after a generous tip, but it was all delicious. We were super impressed. The smoothies were great for a hot day. Will be returning!

Great little casual Vang joint. Had the tacos and wrap here and both were excellent. Huge portions. Reasonable prices. If you are in the area or coming through, definitely stop in.

This tucked away cafe has great food and is always open. Best dairy free "cheesy" sauce. fun to bring the whole family or just a lunch date.

We for the most part enjoyed our food. Two of us had burgers. Very tasty. The one with the garlic mushrooms was very good. Just a bit spicy, jalapeño not needed. Our other person had the pranha bowl it had a strange metallic taste. Might have come from the rice cooker. It was nice to find a place close to home with fresh organic offerings. Down side was seating. We entered and two tables had dirty dishes on them. Neither table was ever cleaned off while we were dining. When the front of house is not clean it makes you wonder what the kitchen looks like. I will go back and give them a second chance.

The prana bowl was tasty but it was luke warm..we took it home and heated it up the next day and then it was yummy.

Everything at Zest is amazingly tasty and fresh. My fiancée and I are pretty skeptical on going out to eat ever since becoming vegan, but Zest makes it so easy to not worry about anything. They even have separate menus for Raw dishes and Oil Free dishes.

Best Vegan Restaurant near Sacramento! - Edit
Food is delicious, healthy and clean! Lots of options and most everything can be made gluten free. We had the “Tiger Mountain Mushroom Burger” & “Chipotle Tacos” both were great! For dessert we had a wonderful Turkish coffee” and raw “donut holes”. The space was very clean and the staff are all very friendly! Worth the drive from Mid town Sac.

In town for business. Came for a quick lunch yesterday. It was so good I came back again today. I had their signature vegan burger at the top of the menu yesterday. Today I ordered the grilled panini special. All good!!!

Read moreWe all got the burgers, which were delicious. The sauce they use is creamy and tasty, and all the ingredients are super fresh. I also ordered the kitchari, because I know it's good for me, and was glad I did (a friend and I split that and a burger and were full). Another diner ordered three tacos and they also looked wonderful.
The people here are friendly and down to earth, and the restaurant is bright, clean and cute. I don't know this area that well but this restaurant feels like a place that would almost need to be in a big city to really make it. I hope I'm wrong cause this place rocks!

We've been going to this place for some time now and love it! Every item we've had has been fresh and tasty. Some prices are a bit steep, but I've noticed that with any vegan place, totally worth it. Friendly staff & a great vibe. Only downfall is it can be slow getting food sometimes, depending on how busy they are, but hey...they make it fresh and of course that takes a little longer.
