Poor availability - Edit
The menu had a good variety of vegan options available, it said. I made my choice to be told, not available. Chose something else, not available. I did this two or three more times and finally ended up with chips and side salad. It felt like I’d travelled back in time to 25 years ago lol.

just made the same annoying experience and they were not even really sorry about it.

At least something to eat - Edit
First problem for me, not dog friendly. Second, only one vegan main dish, the Falafel Burger. I ordered some Falafel, the Falafel Burger and chocolate Pudding/Cake. Taste of the Falafel and burger wasnt good, fries and Salat were nice. Chocolate Cake is good, when you Like chocolate and orange in combination.

Not bad but only 2 vegan dishes and one dessert. - Edit
Burger was quite good. Not many options in Thurso so I recommend this place. Friendly staff.

Pretty good - Edit
They have only three vegan options (one as a main dish) - falafel burger, falafels with humus and vegan pudding. However, in small town like Thurso it is better than nothing 😉

No vegan options were left but nachos - Edit
We went here because they have about 12 vegan options on the menu - unfortunately I ended with nachos because when I ordered the butternut risotto they haven‘t had any left, then the waitress offered me falafel and then came back again to say there weren‘t any left, then I ordered something else which they did not have and she said, the only thing left was nachos. What a healthy dinner - NOT. Don‘t go here, you‘ll be disappointed. They were not able to make a big bowl of salad instead or cook me some veggies, which they do offer as a side dish for meat menus.

Good choice in the north - Edit
Multiple very different vegan options, nice atmosphere and music.
Read moreThe vegan fish & chips were ok (the 'fish' is made from banana blossom which does not taste like fish at all, but I liked it better here than before at other places).

Curry - Edit
Had the jackfruit curry, was tasty. Nice rock music playing.

Nice to have vegan options in the far north. Salt and chilli fries and falafels were good.

Average - Edit
Glad to see a restaurant with vegan options in this neck of the woods. I wanted the vegan burger but that was out of stock. Instead I choose the vegan fish, I was not impressed. The batter contained most of the taste which was not a lot. The chips were ok but any green stuff missed on the plate. Service was good and friendly.

Basic - Edit
Thurso does not boast many vegan options, and we ended up with brunch as our evening meal. Which was satisfying but not super exciting. Tip: head to the Coop across the road - it’s full of absolute gems. Staff were lovely though. Also worth making a reservation as we spent our entire meal watching hopeful walk-ins being turned away (we seemed to be the last to manage to squeeze in without booking).

Are you missing battered fish? - Edit
The 'fish' sandwich was so so good: I believe it was battered banana blossom in a toasted bun with salad and tartar sauce. Served with chips and coleslaw

Amazing! - Edit
I was super happy to find so many vegan options on the menu, as we were staying in a nearby area with zero options. We had the vegan fish & chips which I think was made from banana blossom. So tasty!

Lovely food and service, not many options in Thurso for Vegan food but this place sure does make up for it - me and my partner shared the vegan platter and we honestly couldn’t eat it all, the Jackfruit curry was on point and full of flavour along with everything else - would highly recommend

Best vegan shared platter we've had anywhere - Edit
Doing a driving tour of the NC500 in Scotland we struggled to find a vegan restaurant and eventually settled for 'vegan options' whereupon we came across ynot

Really wish I could have given this a 5* review but Happy Cow prevent us from doing so because it is not exclusively vegan or vegetarian.

Okay - Edit
We had lunch at this place and ordered the soup of the day (pumpkin - sweet potato) and the baked potato with bbq pulled jackfruit. The soup was alright but the jackfruit was way too sweet. It’s really nice to find a menu with so many vegan dishes, but food is just okay and prices are high.

Very descent food and vegan options! - Edit
I went to Y’Not with my non vegan boyfriend. It was not very easy to find such a place with nice interior and vegan options. We were really surprised in a positive way! I ordered vegan porridge - soya milk, oats and berry compote - very nice. My boyfriend ordered Benedict eggs and he was satisfied with one little exception that eggs were not runny :-). Organic coffee with certification - very big plus 😊.

Their menu shows the vegan and vegetarian options. Good prices and regular food. Don't expect anything mind blowing, but they're doing a good job with the basics.
