Tasty and great value!

My husband and I have eaten here twice. We have had a good sample of the menu. We would say it is good honest home cooked vegan food which has so much flavour!!!
We have been to many different vegan restaurants in our 10day trip and this is the best of the cheaper options.
Wulan will help you pick.

Pros: cool colourful setting.

Awesome food in Ubud

In Wulan Vegetarian you get fresh cooked 100% vegan food.
They have dishes with red rice and noodles. You find even sweetpotatoe fries.
We had the "exciting noodles", "peanut heap", "thick sweet corn soup", "ultimate nasi goreng", "carrote cake" and the "vegan pancakes with fruit". Everything was perfect. Also the drinks! Try the AloeVera Chunky!
Everything is really cheap.

Pros: Everything!

Cons: nothing!

Reliably tasty

I was hard-pressed to find tasty and reasonably priced vegan meals in Ubud and then I found Wulan's.

It's bright and comfortable there with lots of cosy seating. I was pretty happy to sit at one of the low tables at floor level and the cushions were perfect.

The wifi is good so you can while away your time on the net, read a book, or - better still - chat to the friendly owner as your meal is being prepared.

I was amazed at the numerous options available from low-priced entrees, to the diverse mains and several desserts.

I've been there a number of times and my faves are the Savoury Pancakes and the Tofu Veg Soup though I'm also just as happy to dig into the 7 Veg Nasi Campur with its vast spread of tasty veg dishes around a mountain of red rice.

There are plenty of drinks available from a large variety of teas to freshly prepared fruit juices and I've really enjoyed the scrumptious cheap cookies at the counter.

Anyway, if you're looking for a tasty vegan treat check out Wulan's. You can't go wrong.

A tasty vegan haven

This place has it all for me! An all vegan menu that is reasonably priced, tasty cookies, wi-fi, friendly service, comfortable floor cushions to lounge on, and delicious healthy food of course! I ended up coming here a lot during my 2 months in Ubud as it was close to my house and also a very comfortable atmosphere.

I have tried the Nasi Campur and the Spicy Veg-Tempe, the pumpkin soup, banana cake, and pretty much all the cookies.
The Spicy Hottie Veg Tempe stands out, and so does the cookies, especially the chocolate ones and the coconut green tea. I wasn't super into the pumpkin soup, it had too many onions for me....but I am also sensitive to those. The Nasi Campur, kind of the most signature dish you will find in Indonesia to try many things, was also really good, and it's made of 7 items, served with red rice. They use coconut oil to try which is a relief as there are a lot of unhealthy oils used in other places.

Nice place, great food

We had Nasi Campur and a savory pancake. The owner is very friendly and speaks good English. Prices are about 45k for a food. Very delicious and we will definitely come back

Mmmm....

Delicious, great service, reasonable prices.

Some of my favorite food I've eaten in Bali. Most meals are around 40k and drinks around 20k. Cheap vegan cookies available as well! Has wifi (and it works).

A Gem

This place is definitely not closed! I went there for lunch today and I will be going back again very soon. I ordered the 7 veg bowl and it arrived with even more than I expected. Each item on the plate had it's own unique taste. My favourite was the tempeh (which tasted bacon-ish). The staff were very warm and friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing too.

Pros: taste of the food, portion size was perfect, friendly staff members

Cons: motorcycle exhaust from street which can't be help

Great little place

Came here for dinner. Small, cute place for people who like simple yet tasty home-cooked food. It's not on one of the main streets, so a bit quieter but still well within walkable distance from town center.

Pros: tasty, cheap, all vegan

simple&delicious

After we had found this Warung we eat at least one meal a day there. So delicious! The Nasi goreng is magic and I also loved the Special 7 Items Nasi Campur! (Changes a bit every day!)
Beautiful relaxed place to eat at, too.

Winner!

How lovely to find an authentic, local cheap, fully vegan restaurant in the centre of Ubud. Truly wonderful place and food too. Nothing pretentious just real, local, tasty food. Nice people. Small, cozy establishment with the food cooked in front of you. A must-visit for Ubud.

Pros: All vegan , Cheap, Cute and cozy

Cons: None!

Basic main meals

We ordered 2 different main rice meals. they looked almost the same and with slightly different sauce and maybe a different veg or 2. The vegan pancakes were super gluey. the food overall wasn't bad. I just found it annoying that her little dog was inside this little cage barking the whole time. Not what a vegan wants to see or hear. Very irritating.

Amazing food made with consciousness

Wherever you are in Bali it's worth the trip to visit Wulan and her petit warung. Wulan makes all the food herself from zero right in front of you. Try the 7 veggie platter or the amazing Gado-Gado. Food cooked from the heart!

Lovely little Vegan Warung

Wulan is lovely and the passion she puts into her food is only to be admired. The 'exciting noodles' is my favourite which is a rice noodle and veggie soup with various types of mock meats. So delicious, especially when paired with rice to dip in the soup. Also tried the tempeh curry which was okay, definitely better ones elsewhere, the soup is a real winner though.

Indonesian vegan flavors

Lots of places in Ubud, Bali are using the words vegan and vegetarian prominently (and misleadingly hiding the fact they are selling tons of meat products too) so I was cautious but it turns out the place is actually vegan. Twice had lunch here and a breakfast. The food is healthy with Bali touch. And inexpensive.

Today had a lunch with 7 veggies - rice with items like bitter melon, greens (2 varieties), pakoda/tempura, crunchy snack, veggie paste steamed in leaves. Mostly lightly cooked and spiced. All very tasty. Portions are small and will not overstuff you. 30k (less than USD 2.5).

Had ginger lemon soda (2nd time). Fresh ginger, fresh lemon, added to soda created a very refreshing drink. 15k.

The kitchen is small and has only one cook and set menu items are prepared ahead and in small quantities. Should expect some wait time if ordering other items from the menu. Alcoholic drinks can be brought in (from the store on the other side of the road.)

A great option for those who like simple, tasty vegan meals.

Pros: vegan, almost no mock meats, good variety of food

Cons: small kitchen
