My husband (omnivore) and I (vegetarian) loved it so much, we are going back a second time on our one week trip to Palm Desert. Unique options, great live music, nice atmosphere!

Great plant based options - Edit
My husband and I walked in on a Friday without a reservation and were sat at the bar. Nice place with live music. We ordered the shishito elote and lemon artichoke for our starter, both were delicious! I had the seared lions mane steak for my main and my husband had the “scallops” for his and both were very tasty.

I was too excited to eat my food I forgot to take pictures but the plating was very nicely done.

In town for one night - Edit
On a quick in and out work trip I may have found the best spot in town! All by my lonesome I sat at the bar but was anything but lonely. This place was packed on a Thursday! I love mushrooms and saw two amazing dishes on the menu so I indulged and had them both! I chose the King Trumpet Mushroom Calamari for my appetizer and the Sautéed King Oyster Scallops for my entree. Delicious!! Full of flavor and satisfaction!

My fav restaurant in the desert - Edit
This is my go-to special occasion restaurant and it's a huge treat whenever I get to eat here.
Read moreIt's not a vegan restaurant, but their menu is much more plant focused than most.
On our last visit we got the grilled artichoke appetizer which was unbelievably tender and is served with warm vegan butter for dipping, the paella and the king oyster scallops. All were excellent. My friend has never eaten vegan food before and was blown away. He said the king oyster scallops were one of the best meals he's ever had! We also got the warm chocolate cake for dessert, which was amazing.
Bonus - they have a fab mocktails menu including CBD drinks which were seriously delicious.
Can't wait for another special occasion to return here!

One of the best fancy meals for vegans - Edit
We ordered the lion’s mane crab cakes, vegan paella, ravioli, and chocolate cake. It was all divine! But what really won our hearts over was how kind and accommodating they were, as we were traveling with our dog and have someone immunocompromised in our group- they set up a table with heaters outside for us! It was all delightful and we’ll certainly come every chance we get. #Veganuary

Disappointing - Edit
I had a lot of hopes for some ups ale vegan food but was disappointed. The menu was out of sync with what was available, it was not descriptive enough to note which plates were spicy and the actual dishes were a let down considering this is supposed to be a more upscale place.
Read morePros: Third of the the menu is vegan, Great chocolate cake desert

Creative vegan options - Edit
Not your run of the mill vegan options like cauliflower steak or portobello burger. Menu is clearly labeled and separate plant based section. Delish mushroom calamari. The “scallops” were the only miss. Knowledgeable servers. Extremely attentive service with attention to detail. Interesting cocktails. Good for omni, my mom said it was they best short ribs she ever had. Female chef and owner.

I would give this spot 5 stars if the app would let me. - Edit
I celebrated my birthday here with mixed diet company, everyone was impressed with their meal. I have never had better. Fine vegan dining is hard to find and Wildest had knocked it outta the park!! This is a must visit plan based eaters and Vegans who can tolerate a mixed menu/dining experience. #Veganuary

Oasis in the desert - Edit
Wildest is a gem of restaurant in the desert town of La Quinta, CA. Would give them a 5-🌟 if I could but they’re not 100% Vegan and thus will have to settle for a 4-⭐️. We were in town visiting our San Clemente neighbors who own a 2nd home here in town.
Read moreThe front of the menu teases you with their Trumpet Mushroom Calamari that is a perfect way to start. The sauces accompanying this dish were well balanced and tasty!
For dinner I settled on the Wild Mushroom Bourguignon. The gravy in the dish added a fantastic umami and blended well with the polenta.
Our neighbor Christi ordered the cauliflower steak, which were two thick cuts and came with a curry dipping sauce that was probably the best curry I’ve tasted.
This place is worth it and a true oasis in this beautiful desert town.
Pros: Great vegan options , Restaurant ambiance , Good wines
Cons: Wanted more!

Wow! Fine vegan dining with gluten-free in mind. - Edit
Wildest has one of the most creative vegan menus I've seen in a non-vegan restaurant. Many times, if I want to eat fine food at a nice restaurant, I'm negotiating around sides and asking a lot of questions to my server. Not here at Wildest, none of that was necessary!
Read moreGluten-free vegan ravioli. Do I actually need to say anything more?! The food here is fantastic. The atmosphere is fun and hip and open. My one regret is that it's more than 500 miles from home.
Check it out if you want to eat in a place which caters to all types of food eaters and especially treats vegans with love and respect.
Pros: Very creative vegan dishes, Lots of interesting vegan options, Gluten free didn't mean contains egg or milk!
Cons: Can get noisy

Good experience but didn’t like the plant based scallops - Edit
I had a good but not great experience here. I sat outside and the service was good. There were plenty of vegan options on the menu and most of what we shared was good. However, I thought the vegan scallops had a very strange aftertaste to them. I didn’t enjoy this dish, and would recommend getting something else if you dine here.

This is my favorite vegan-friendly restaurant in the Coachella Valley. High quality ingredients deliver a unique flavor unlike anything I have had elsewhere. My favorite item is the vegan scallops (mushrooms). Upscale ambiance and wine selection make for a perfect date spot.

Excellent Vegan Choices - Edit
We had lunch at Wildest Greens today. My wife had a vegan burrito and I had a grilled veggie sandwich. Both were excellent. We then topped it off by splitting a slice of vegan cheesecake. All vegan items are clearly marked on the menu. I would highly recommend Wildest Greens to anyone passing through the area.

NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE - Edit
When this restaurant was Wildest Greens, we loved it. Actually drove from San Diego a couple times to specifically eat there. Had a full plant based menu and descent portions. The dining rooms m was friendly as was the staff.
Read moreFast forward to this weekend... everything has been redone.
The chill vegan place is now a upscale bar restaurant. With the focus being the bar. The dinner menu went from many vegan choices to 4. Seems they have lost the core values of being plant based. I would look elsewhere as the new menu is pricey, the servings are smaller and the staff just seems more focused on recommending things to puff up the check. Lastly they seem to run on a clock now. The first pass at the new restaurant we arrived around 4, they wouldn’t serve anything on the dinner menu until 5:30. WTF, we left and had dinner lover at Tanyas. A few days later we showed up about 1:30 for lunch and they promptly told us they close at 2 so the chef and prep dinner...
I used to recommend this place to my non vegan friends because it was awesome. It was my favorite vegan restaurant period. Not anymore. I’d pass on this one.
Sorry some changes are not good changes.

Very Good - Edit
Saw this on happycow so we stopped in to grab lunch while driving through the area recently. It's a nice little place that offers healthier food and lots of organic. We got a green juice, a fruit smoothie, the vegan chili, and a buddha bowl. Everything tasted good. The prices are not cheap but the quality is there.
