Good sandwiches & muffins

Several vegan options including grilled sandwiches and sweet treats (trail bars, macaroons, muffins). Visited a couple of times during our stay in Banff.

Vegan breakfast options

This place has a few vegan pastries, oatmeal, and vegan sandwich/salad options. However, they stop serving breakfast at 10am. They also have good espresso. Vegan milk options include soy and almond. Some staff are knowledgeable, some are very clueless. One guy listed skim as a nondairy milk option.

Pros: Labels vegan options, Limited breakfast selection , Good espresso

Cons: Staff are hit or miss , Stops serving breakfast quite early

Best drip coffee I’ve ever had

Only one vegan option on this visit, but it was the first muffin I’ve had in 2 years.

Super cute and has organic soymilk and homemade vanilla syrup!

Loved this place! My London fog was amazing and I was super happy to see they offered organic soy and they make their own vanilla syrup! Friendly staff and nice seating area.

yummy, filling and good value

Get the lunch deal consisting of toasted vegan sandwich (usually roasted veggies or felafel), soup or salad and vegan cookie for $14 which is great value for Banff (or anywhere really). Quick and friendly service too.

Pros: cheap, tasty, quick

Get the dark chocolate torte slice!

The toasted falafel sandwich was so filling we hardly had room for the chocolate torte but I'm glad we did. It was amazeballs! The blueberry muffin was pretty darned good too. Oh and the peppermint hot chocolate was divine.

vegan sandwiches, soups, salad

This place seems to offer one vegan sandwich, soup and salad per day as well as one cookie. We enjoyed all these items however not sure how often they're changed around as it would get tiresome after a while. It seems the cookie is always fig and anise which was delicious but I imagine you'd get bored of. I think the sandwiches were really good.

Vegan Cookies and Cakes

Came here after a meal at Balkan for a sweet treat- had the fig and anise cookie and it was yummy! Wasn't the best cookie ever but good and they had lots of interesting options sweet and savoury! Would love to go try the savoury options another day.

PS: avoid there small second branch called the little flour they have much less options for vegans

UPDATE:- I went back to wildflour bakery later on in the week and had the vegan sand which and it was amazing, unbearable! It had an olive tapenade like thing and soft sweet potato OMG amazing!

Great lunch

Had lunch here today. Did the full lunch combo for $14 that included a sandwich, a soup/salad, and a cookie, which was quite a deal. There weren't as many vegan options as I would've liked, but everything I had was great. Just wish they'd stay open for dinner as well.

Pros: good food, reasonable prices

Cons: closes at 4

Best cafe in Banff!

Nice place to pass the time having lunch whilst visiting Banff! Visited a few times now and never failed to disappoint! Check out the selection of yummy vegan sandwiches or the specials board for what's available on that day. They also serve great coffee

Pros: Freshly prepared food, artisan bakery

Cons: none

Great breakfast spot!

It's great to find somewhere that has vegan options for breakfast in Banff. I've been twice and I've had a yummy blueberry muffin and a granola bar. Great atmosphere too :)

A few options

This place is pretty hit or miss for me. They're vegan options are very few, but all quite delicious, I particularly recommend the chocolate torte. However I've had service be pretty bad before, lots of mixing up orders and a particular cashier who's a bit short of patience. I'd also like to see more vegan options, as they clearly have the skill level to make them delicious.

Pros: Delicious dessert(s) for vegans , Cute location

Cons: Staff can be off putting , Few options

Yummy vegan treats

I tried a decadent vegan chocolate cake/mousse creation when I was here, it was really good. The problem was finding a place to sit where I could eat it - the cafe is incredibly small and busy.

Pros: yummy treats

Cons: overly busy, very limited seating

Few, but Good

There are some vegan options, though not as many as I expected. Still, the few that are available are really good.

Baked Goods for Days!

We didn't try any of the hot food, but did try one of every baked good they had that was both vegan and gluten free (its hard to find both so we wanted to take advantage!). Most were very good although some lacked flavor. We were excited to have so many options.

Disapointed

Not enough vegan options here. I tried to have lunch here And I guess the falafel in the veggie wrap has egg in it. The only thing to eat that's vegan is the quinoa salad and maybe the soup of the day... Depending. Very disappointed. Also I tried the vegan scone for breakfast and it was very dry and dense.

Cons: Not enough vegan options

Love it!

This was the place I kept coming back to every day of our vacation. Service is quick. Bistro-type food is outstanding.

They have a squash baguette that is vegan, made with curried basil hummus and spinach. Mouth watering delightfulness! When I went they had quinoa salad and beet salad, both pretty good. They also had vegetarian buckwheat crepes which I did not have a chance to try. Also for vegetarians is a Ratatouille sandwich and gourmet grilled cheese.

They also had some disgusting things on their menu like a Bison Baguette and a Pulled Pork dish. So there is room for improvement.

Parking can be a challenge during the high season.

Delicious vegan options

Inventive menu with vegan options and a yummy $10 lunch special; e.g. zucchini mushroom panini, spicy beet carrot soup and a fig anise cookie. Supports local artists with monthly showing on their walls. Get a hot apple cider or organic coffee and enjoy the cool people watching hang after a day skiing of taking the water in the local hot springs.

Pros: excellent food, healthy cuisine, unique options

Cons: closes early, popular, specials sell out
