Good Even by Whole Foods Standards

We've all been to Whole Foods Markets before so I won't write too much. Their selection is very good, staff is nice and location is great. Flowers year round and Christmas trees in the winter time, my wife and I will stop by this Whole Foods on occasion.

However, for regular grocery shopping in the area, go to MOM's Organic Market instead; it is far and away better.

Pros: Good Whole Foods

Cons: Worse than nearby MOM's Organic Market

Nice store

It’s a nice store with a lot of clearly marked vegan options. Some items do not have a lot of variety, and you are often competing with the many virtual stockers who are filling online orders. Overall the store is very nice and it’s a pleasant place to shop

New and fresh

This is one of the nicer Whole Foods in the area because it had a lot of space to build. The produce section greets you as you walk in with local listings for source identification of your veggies, which is always appreciated. Before you know it, you’ve bought more veggies than you’d planned to buy! Good choice- it’s healthy.

They have an excellent bulk food section for all of your nut, spice, trail mix, dried fruit, baking, grain and other needs of the bulk variety. There’s a section for personal care products, and an area for coffee, an aisle filled with tea choices, aisles that are split in half that don’t run all the way from one end of the store to the other, nicely angled sections like the ‘dairy’ case, bakery area, frozen foods (ice cream for vegan options is great), salad bar and hot food bar, as well as their take in a deli case with prepared salads and entrees to purchase by the pound.

It’s a great store, and I like that they now have self- checkout. Parking in th street is sparse, opt for the free underground 2-story garage.

Pros: Well organized, Aesthetically pleasing layout, Self-checkout

great hot food bar!

I particularly like this location of whole foods for its hot foods bar. I would regularly go to this location on Mondays for their Meatless Monday special. It was $8 flat for a plate which is a steal because the prepared foods are $8 per pound and I could often load my plate up with about 2 lbs of food. The salad bar has beyond meat products and they often had a southwest inspired salad containing beyond meat chicken. The vegan options are clearly identified.

The only annoying part is that the meatless Monday special is not very well advertised. I often had to go up to the deli counter and ask for a special meatless Monday plate which had a special bar code. Made the mistake once of just filling up a regular plate.

Pros: hot foods bar, plenty of vegan options, good value

Cons: specials not advertised very well
