Plenty of veg options - Edit
We went there in the afternoon so the place was pretty empty. I imagine it gets packed later in the day.
Read moreI got a jack fruit sandwich which was really good, and my partner had a vegan burger which was also tasty. The price is not too high and during happy hour you can get really good deals.
Pros: Many vegan options, Interesting space
Cons: Music was a bit loud

It used to be great - Edit
White Owl Social Club used to have lots of vegan options (burgers and whatnot, nachos with vegan cheese, vegan fried pickles, and so on). It seems all the good reviews are from those bygone days.
Read moreNow their food is provided by Le Tehuana (a Mexican place, I think it used to be a food truck) and it's pretty slim pickings. The menu on their website is unclear and inconsistent with the in-person menu; online "V" seems to indicate vegetarian, not vegan (it appears next to items containing honey, egg, dairy - honey sauce, crema sauce, cotija cheese, aioli, etc). In-store the "V" appears next to the brussels sprouts with honey (??) habanero sauce but not the items containing dairy and egg, so it seems they are unclear about the definition of vegan. This is not confidence inspiring.
If you're vegan, your options are your classic salad with almost nothing on it, fries, chips and salsa, or a taco containing only soy curls, potato, raw onion, and cilantro. Overall it seems like the vegan options are an afterthought for the confused vegans showing up expecting the old White Owl. It's good to see they at least have soy curls but the inconsistent labeling and the fact that this place USED to have lots of vegan options (including dairyless cheese-type things) is a disaster waiting to happen.
On the plus side, I've always liked their patio. I'd be happy to go sit there if the vegan food ever comes back.

Club Grub - Edit
I ordered a soyrizo and potato taco and fries. It was difficult to eat the taco without spilling the ample amount of filling. The fries are enough to share. I liked the back patio, but the loud music made it hard to have a conversation.

Best burger hands-down - Edit
This place has really awesome drinks, really amazing atmosphere, and the best burger I’ve ever had. Ask for the mushroom Swiss burger vegan with vegan cheese and you will never want a burger from anywhere else ever again.
Read morePros: Good happy hour, Great vegan options, Plenty of gluten-free options
Cons: Can be really busy sometimes, You realize it’s one of the best burgers , Stop looking for the negative stuff

Great food, good service. - Edit
Everything I've had here has been excellent especially the beet veggie burger sliders. To die for.
Read moreThe patio outside is a great place to hang out in the sun and bring the dogs but be aware, after 5 they don't seem to be too keen on letting dogs in- it gets crowded and it's not ideal.
