We had the „Wiesbachtal“-Zimmer, with balcony and a stunning view.
The rooms are comfy, very clean and the shabby-chic interior is cute, too!
The enclosed restaurant has a big outside area with wonderful view and I could hardly decide what to choose from the menu, as the choices sound delicious.
My husband had the mushroom-gyros plate, which was my favorite as well, but I didn’t want to choose the same dish twice, so I took the Käsespätzle with beyond meat sausage. Turned out to be good, but the gyros was way better, more tasteful and versatile.
As desert we had pancakes and cheesecake, both very yummy.
We also had a good breakfast, but as we have covid-rules at the moment, they didn’t offer buffet, but you could order each of the buffet-offerings. The portions turned out to be very small, which makes pretty much sense to avoid food waste. But we had to order again, and could have even another time, but breakfast time was almost over 😉
I would rate the hotel with 5 stars, restaurant with 4 stars.
All in all a great stay, would totally come back!

Amazing food and lovely staff - Edit
Absolutely brilliant restaurant with some of the best vegan food I’ve eaten full stop. Wednesday and Thursday they do a buffet and the rest of the days are a la carte. Have been three time so far and every time has been outstanding. The staff is really lovely and friendly too. Can’t recommend strongly enough!!

Hotel and restaurant are beautully located in the vineyards. Food is a combination of fast food and more sophisticated cuisine, very tasty. I recommend the buffet on wednesday and thursday evenings. Owners are very nice.

Traumhaft schöne Location mit wunderschönem Ausblick. Der Service ist spitze und super freundlich. Eine sehr kreative Speisenkarte, für wirklich jeden ist was dabei! Das Essen schmeckte uns beiden ausgezeichnet. Wir mussten auf absolut nichts verzichten und waren rundum zufrieden.

Schon der erste Kontakt per Telefon war einfach großartig, wir buchten kurzfristig und hatten Glück: ein Zimmer war noch frei. Es war sehr groß, modern eingerichtet und perfekt sauber. Die Infrarot - Kabine war das Highlight im Zimmer.

Das vielfältige vegane Frühstück war an beiden Tagen sehr reichhaltig und lecker. Die Kuchen am Nachmittag haben wir auch probiert und hätten am liebsten nachbestellt, doch abends hatten wir uns zum 3 Gänge Menü angemeldet. Da wurden wir erneut verwöhnt, jeder Gang war ein Gedicht!
Die Umgebung lädt zum Wandern oder Spaziergang ein, alternativ gibt es viele Möglichkeiten für Unternehmungen in der Region.
Ein wirklich schönes Wochenende liegt hinter uns, ganz lieben Dank dafür!

Ein rein veganes Hotel und Restaurant in einer ruhigen Umgebung mit sehr schöner Aussicht. Wir haben den Geburtstag meines Mannes gefeiert und waren rundum begeistert. Annabel, die Bedienung war äusserst freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war himmlisch und der Wein sehr gut. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Vegan mit tollem Der Ausblick von der Hotelterrasse - Edit
Wäre hätte das gedacht, Das Winzerhotel Trautwein ist nicht nur 100% vegan, nein es hat auch noch eine schöne Lage mit einer einmalig schönen Restaurantterrasse mit einem umwerfenden Blick auf die Weinberge. Da das Essen ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen ist, befürchten wir nun, das es unser Lieblingsrestaurant wird. Was soll man da noch mehr zu sagen, einfach mal zu Trautwein das Essen und den Blick über die Weinberge genießen. Wir werden dies nun öfter machen.

Truly amazing! - Edit
We were staying in a nearby village and had struggled finding vegan options during our German holiday so having dinner here hit the spot! The menu is great and the food is amazing quality, paired with their own wines. The location is beautiful and the restaurant & hotel have been finished to a very high standard. A must if you’re in the area!

We came here for the "Pfingst Brunch" and it was a dream come true! The location itself is beautiful with a gorgeous outside terrace overlooking the vineyards.
Read moreThe food selection for the brunch was awesome. I especially loved the pancakes and the vegan cheesecake which tasted exactly like I remembered cheesecake. The couple who owns the hotel and restaurant is lovely and you can really tell how much effort, dedication and love they put into it!

Nice views over Rheinhessen, decent food, divine cakes. - Edit
A lot of work went into this project: This hotel was built from scratch on the wine hills over Flonheim, which is quite a nice wine village in Rheinhessen. I must say that I do not like their style personally (square concrete building, kitchy interior design) but the style is coherent and many of the other guests were commenting on it being very nice, so it really probably is a personal taste thing. What I find absolutely great is their large veranda with views over the countryside. I have not been to the hotel but to their restaurant/café which they open on weekend afternoons (check their website whether it is open or whether there might even be a special event like their summer festival, at which they open for longer hours). They are connected to a winery so you can get really nice wines and also grape juice here. As for the food, they have a weekly changing menu (which you can also check online) and unfortunately, I found that one also not too convincing - many dishes have vegan cheese (shop-bought) on them and the menu felt like an autumn menu, which I did not feel like on a hot spring day. I got some Flammkuchen (thin pizza-like dish with smoked tofu, onions and sour cream) which I liked, but which probably would have been better by leaving away the vegan cheese. The crust was really thin and nice. I also had a cake which was absoluely great. They had about 5 different kinds to choose and all looked very good. The prices are fair with about 9 EUR for the Flammkuchen and 3 EUR for the cake (the cake I think was cheap given its quality and presentation on the plate). It was good to see so many non-vegans here who stopped on their bicycle trip to have a coffee and cake, and most people were commenting on that they never would have thought vegan cake can be so good. I really recommend you to check this place out and support this business! They are doing a great job and I hope they find some vegan chef who will bring some more inspired savoury dishes to the menu! Very good brunch with a lot of choices. The place itself is located in the wine yards with a beautiful view. The couple who runs the hotel & restaurant is very lovely and is planning to extend the offer, as they already provide special events like vegan grilling, cookery courses or cake&coffee.
