Bring your non-vegan friends here - Edit
This place is a gem. It's like a little vegan oasis in a desert of meat and cheese. I've gone over a dozen times and I've never been disappointed. My favorites are the cauliflower wings, skillet hash, and BBQ jackfruit sandwich. Their milkshakes are on point, too. The prices are pretty reasonable and the atmosphere is super chill. Honestly, the only drawback is how unique Watercourse is, which means it's ALWAYS busy - seems like every vegan within a 50 mile radius knows and loves this place. If you're looking for a great place to bring your non-vegan friends and family, you can't do much better than Watercourse. Just make a reservation first.

A must to try if you are in Denver - Edit
I LOVE that this restaurant is 100% vegan. The staff is exceptionally nice and gives honest recommendations. Their brunch is the best vegan brunch I have had to date, my partner and I go here monthly!

Love This Place - Edit
So nice to have a 100% vegan through dining option! Extensive menu of house made dishes + plant based proteins. Had the bbq seitan wings, alfredo, and mac+cheese. We also tried the burger. Highly recommend!

It was okay. - Edit
Based on the reviews here I thought it would be amazing, but was just okay. I got the Southern plate. The kale salad was good, the breaded cauliflower wasn't as exciting as it sounded.. tasted like steamed cauliflower with breading. The mac and cheese tasted weird.. they use a spice in it i couldn't place, but it made it taste kind if sweet (so my son didn't eat his meal because he didn't like it). It was very loud atmoshphere.. don't recommend if you prefer a mellow vibe. I did not feel it was worth the hour wait for a table.

A little out of the way but worth it - Edit
Stopped in around 1. There was a slight wait for a table but I sat at the bar. BBQ Cauliflower wings were very good. I shared them with the person sitting next to me and they agreed. I could not decide between brunch and lunch so I had French toast and sweet potato fries. Delicious. I will definitely be back next time I am in Denver.

Cauliflower to another level - Edit
The Cauliflower wings were savory with a crisp outer layer. The sauce that came with the dish, is what truly made want more. The salad also complimented the dish very well. Dinner was topped off with a Strawberry Shake. If you’re in Denver, you must stop here.

*** Update: it’s been a year since I’ve been to Denver. I still think about this place, and really wish there was anything like it near Sacramento. Go try it! ***
Read moreOk, I’ve been in Denver for three days. I’ve eaten here four times (and three at City oh City). This place is the real deal. If you are within 100 miles of Denver and don’t eat here, you have only yourself to blame. This is AMAZING comfort food, and all vegan. I can’t say enough good about it, I just wish we had one in Sacramento. Of the things I have had, the cauliflower wings, homemade burger, breakfast sandwich, sautéed greens, and candied yams are amazing. The Atlas burger was amaze balls. (Ok, I don’t remember exactly what it was, but I trust someone posted a pic of the menu). I think it was tempeh bacon, avocado, fried onion, and onion jam. Ohmigawd it was to kill for. Sorry, bad vegan pun. Still, do yourself a favor and try this place. You won’t regret it. I guarantee it.

GET... THE... CUBAN!!! - Edit
This was my second time coming to Watercourse and I have to say it was much better than the first. On my first trip, I ordered the Seitan Satay which tasted far too similar to a sir loin steak. For me personally, eating anything that tastes too much like real meat is kind of off putting.
Read moreThis time, however, I ordered the Cuban Sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. It had that chewy, meaty texture you’d want from a Cuban, but it also had a unique, saucy taste that wasn’t too much like true meat. Well done!
Otherwise, the atmosphere is nice but nothing special really, and the servers were incredibly friendly despite clearly being under a lot of pressure. Loads of options on the menu so come back again and again!
Pros: Amazing taste and house-made sauces, Friendly service , Happy hour deals!
Cons: Some meals taste a little too much like meat, Staff is overworked, Expensive if not during happy hour

The Southern Plate is so good! - Edit
I went to lunch here with my 12 year-old daughter, after hitting the Denver Art Museum. I ordered the southern plate entree, which comes with fried cauliflower and buffalo sauce, kale and beet salad, and mac and cheese (or mashed potatoes). My daughter ordered the street tacos plate. I loved mine. The cauliflower was very tasty and I really liked the taste of their mac and cheese. My daughter’s street tacos were a little less successful. They were too heavy with the cabbage and I did not like the chipotle crema, because it had too much smokey flavor. The refried black beans were okay, but pretty bland, as was the rice. I have had some great vegan tacos, but these were not them. They have so many things on their menu, though, so I hope to go back and try a few other dishes. I love that they are 100% vegan!!

The Watercourse Way! - Edit
Watercourse is my fave. I bring non-vegans here and they love it too. Breakfast is my favorite meal here but lunch and dinner are also fabulous. The French toast is heaven - and I’m always amazed how fluffy it is after my own futile attempts at making it. If you’re eating with picky non-vegans and you want to introduce them to quality, tasty vegan food, this is the place in Denver.

Get the shareable chai milkshake and don’t share. It’s the most delicious thing ever. The French toast portion is huge. You can get a side of French toast which is one huge slice. Then get the avocado toast which is made with bread baked there. Bread will melt in your mouth.

On vacation and tried restaurant per HappyCow’s advise. Lots of options but I chose the loaded burrito. Portion was large enough for 2 servings but so flavorful that I overate. The service was excellent because of attentive and friendly workers. Patrons all looked pleased.
