Like it

I like Wabi Sabi, especially for a change. They offer mostly vegan dishes that are uncommon in Manila, like ramen.
Thanks to Juicesabel as well, The Collective is a good spot for vegans (as two veg venues at the same location in Manila is a gem)

Pros: Original and tasty, Cheap

Cons: Could be fully vegan ^^

Not so easy to find, but worth it.

We finally got to try this spot last night. The Pho and the Tantanmen were both really nice. As were the gyoza.

Take a taxi to Buendia Station on Buendia ave. If you're facing north, take a left on the northwest corner(it's a big intersection). Turn right on Malugay at the 7-11. Just past the hotel on your left, there's a dark noisy strip of restaurants. This is a block of shops. Walk in and go to the back right corner. There you'll find Wabi Sabi and Juiceabel side by side.

Cons: The first time we went at 9 on a Saturday. Says th

The best vegan tantanmen and veggie gyoza

I have been a loyal supporter of Wabi-Sabi since the introduction of their miso ramen. My love for them increased tenfold after they made tantanmen and okonomigyoza available. For cold days and evenings, walking to Wabi-Sabi and eating these two things make my day.

They also have a small grocer where you can buy faux meats, salt, dates and vegan fish sauce, etc.

MUST TRY: Tantanmen (if you like it spicy), miso ramen (if you're vegan, ask them to remove the butter), bahn mi, lemongrass tea and okonomigyoza

Pros: Great noodles and gyoza, Good value

Cons: No access to clean comfort rooms

Best Noodles In Manila!!!

Absolutely loved this place. What a great find in Manila! very reasonably priced, delicious vegan noodles.
It's primarily vegetarian but the staff fully understand vegan and will make you something suitable.
We had Ramón noodles with tofu, soya protein and mushrooms. They have various Chili sauces and other condiments on the table so you can make your dish as spicy as you like, which was great.

Wabi-Sabi is Housed inside a building called the collective which is also home to other restaurants and bars,
a small music venue and a few other small shops, selling guitars, skate boards etc, the whole place has a very student vibe.
I was in Manila for 3 days and tried all sorts of vegan restaurants. Wabi-Sabi has to be one of the meals I enjoyed the most.
We visited on a Saturday, had they been open Sunday's we would most likely have visited again.
Apart from a wide choice of noodle dishes they sell a vegan sandwich, which we wanted to try but were too full after our noodles! Another customer we got chatting too described it as a vegan subway sandwich. Which I felt was a good description, as it looked very much like that in a French baguette style bread. Bursting with soya fillings.

Service was good and very fast. Most evenings the collective (which is the large building that wabi-sabi is in, has gigs with loud Rock music playing. If your not a fan of loud music is recommended going during the day.
Staff very helpful, polite Can't wait to go again.

Pros: Almost every dish can be made vegan, Good location

small nice place

I was there once and i will definitely visit the wabi sabi noodle house again. The crew speaks good english and they could tell me what exactly is vegan and what not. what surprised me, it isn't so expensive unlike most vegetarian/vegan restaurants.

Pros: good price, yummy food, nice atmosphere

Cons: small portions, small location, but it's enough, few food selection to choose from

outstanding flavor

With over 30 visits and bringing more than 40 different friends, I know Wabi Sabi very well.

Located in a hellhole, Wabi Sabi's location is truly to be desired. Many of my richer vegetarian friends won't eat here, even though its in the heart of Makati.
Yet lets set the location aside.
The food they cook is bar none the best in the Philippines.

I recommend to try every single dish here, especially the soups.

Pros: Taste of food, Service, Just simply the yumminess

Cons: location location locaiton

Someone should confirm this restaurant is still open, I searched and searched and could not find it, even asking many people. There seems to be a lot of construction on that street.

Good veggie Pho Hoa

They serve vegetarian Pho Hoa which is my favorite. It has mock meat ingredients and taste great. A typical Vietnamese style noodles. They have vegetarian Siomai(dumplings) and Siopao(steamed buns). Good for snacks and take-out. I love their cold Ginger beer beverage. It is located inside the compound of The Collective Makati. A venue for Arts and Music event. Noodle House is airconditioned. Small store and its hotter inside specially if there is an event. Need to expand the store to accommodate more customer.

Pros: good food, friendly staff , good value

Cons: limited choices of menu, hard to find location, small place

wabi sabi

Wabi Sabi serves Japanese- and Chinese-inspired dishes including ramen with "fish" balls and chunks of mock meat, dumplings, sipao (Chinese-style stuffed buns), vegetarian chicharon, and more. From http://www.petaasiapacific.com/feature-VegEatingInThePhilippines.asp

Appreciation

My heartfelt appreciation goes to Wabi Sabi. It is difficult to find real vegetarian broth when eating out anywhere in Manila. So, being the noodle-lover that I am, this place is a lifesaver! Their dishes taste lovely and their menu options are so unique! Not you usual veggie resto.

Extremely salty food

I went to Wabi Sabi with high expectations, but was sorely let down by the lack of variety of dishes. (They only have three main meals.) Also, all the food was very very salty. My blood pressure shot right up after dinner was over. However, all is not lost. The interior decor is nice and cosy, and the noodle house is situated in The Collective, which is a nice, former car warehouse converted into a shopping ground. I'd go back again, not so much for the food, but for the presence of the other shops in the area.

The only thing I really liked was the dumplings (even though they too, were swimming in a sea of salt and soy sauce.) The skin was crispy and the fillings were tasty. Three dumplings per plate are not enough!!!

Pros: Cheap, Nice interior.

Cons: very salty, in a hard-to-find place
