Yum!

Great junk food, friendly place. I had the nachos with extra guacamole, which was big and delicious. A little vegan haven in the centre of Bemi.

Good vegan versions of fast food classics!

We worked our way through nachos, hell dog (beware- super hot!), burger and doner kebab. Tasty in an unapologetically junk food way. The burger and dog would have been nicer if the buns were toasted. There is also a small but well stocked grocery section.

nice space and good food!

Really liked this space - lots of seating, nice location, lovely staff, lots of shop items like badges and t shirts as well food and drinks.

There is a huge cake and hot junk food selection. Missing healthy options but that’s not really why you come here...

Pros: selection, location, staff and interior

Cons: lack of healthy options

Okay for Vegan Fast Food

I feel as though this place is slightly confused with what it actually is... They serve Fast Food Style meals but also sell Cakes & are a shop.

The Food was okay (not many Gluten Free Options) shame that they don't do chips!

The Cake that was available on the day was nice but I didn't like the filmy 'butter' icing used & for that reason I didn't finish it.

The place does seem popular though as there was a large queue.

In all honestly wouldn't return again

Pros: it's Vegan

Cons: not sure about the layout / type of vegan place , Food could be better

A must on the Bristol Vegan food list

I have read about Vx on Happy Cow and was really looking forward to actually go there and try their amazing food. Truth be told, even though I love salads with the healthiest toppings in the world, I will never say no to a fast food place. Especially when it's vegan. And they are open about it as the menu is marked fully vegan - Yay! I went for Vx Burger with cheese (it had a pickle in it, which was fantastic, and came with spicy tortilla chips on side - lovely combination), my partner had a wrap which was massive, we also had two sausage rolls, coffee and Karma Cola to drink and bought Vegan éclair for pudding... Now if this is not vegan heaven, then I don't know what is. Also, they have very well stocked fridges with vegan cheese, milk, meat substitutes, salad dressings (including Blue Cheese Salad dressing that I cannot wait to try) and many more. There is frozen selection as well. Absolutely in love with this place, and they have a store in London as well, which is going to be my next destination.

P.S. Éclair wasn't the only pudding available. There were cakes and muffins on top of cakes and muffins, you could pick and choose, all properly displayed.

Pros: Fully Vegan Menu, Not expensive, Amazing food

Cons: Why not open more Vx Stores, let's say in Reading?

Go Vego!

This amazing vegan junk food place is a real find in Bedminster in Bristol. I'm complete addicted to their Vego milkshakes. The burgers even taste like a Big Mac! It's great to have a shop in the store. I was really delighted to see them at Bristol Pride this year and enjoyed two of their delicious wraps. An absolute must.

Tasty treats & good selection

Just stopped in briefly for a snack and picked up some products I haven't seen elsewhere. A good place for treats, great coffee and cookies though didn't try the other food in the cafe admittedly.

Pros: Stocks lots of cheeses!

Great Milkshake Donut

After one of our Cardiffian vegan posted the mega milkshake with a donut, we decided that we had to go there someday and well yesterday was the day! After sight seeing the beautiful scenic Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol we went over to VX Bristol for Lunch.

I have been to several restuarants and never tried a milkshake like this one. We ordered the Vego hazel nut mega milkshake with donut, the Supersize beef kabab wrap and the Quasadila.  We loved the milkshake with the delicious warm donut on top. We have never had something like that before and I so want to try the special Vanilla one with a donut next time. The Quasadila and wrap however were a bit disappointing and need improvement with taste and presentation. I found the tortillas used to be quite dry and the use of foil unnecessary. I prefer wraps to be sealed and held on its own. I have high expectations from Vegan organisations. I expect the food to be the best.

I am happy to find out that they make use of compostable straws, encourage the use of reusable coffee cups and I have recommended that they consider a foil alternative to be more environmentally friendly.

They do have gluten free wrap option. They have a little shop in store where they sell some vegan groceries like cheese, icecream, frozen items, etc. About 20 people can sit inside with another 10 outside.

Overall I do recommend the place for the amazing desserts and that it is 100% vegan. Be sure to visit them when you are in  Bristol.

YEEEEEEaaaahhhhhhhhhh

This place satisfies any dirty burger craving you could ever have. Milkshakes and doughnuts are also intense. Check out their instagram, but beware the cravings. I could eat here every single day...

Pros: Absolutely delicious, Will convert any meat eater you know

Cons: Won't move in with me and make me three meals

Vegan junk food heaven!

I got the "ham" and cheese croissant which was delicious - just like a traditional croissant.

My partner got a "chicken" sandwich and heaps of sweets including a vego milkshake which has the hazelnut vego chocolate in it - all so good!

Really cool place who are very upfront with their vegan message and love for vegan junk food :)

Pros: All vegan , Vegan animal rights message , Delicious

Shop is great!

I regularly take trips to Vx for use of the shop section alone, you can get so many hard-to-find goodies like Amy's mac and cheeze, soy whipped cream, loooads of meat and cheese subs! The cafe is great too and relatively cheap.

Pros: Cheap, Sell all kinds of vegan goodies

very dissapointed

Came to check this place out first impressions were not good. Poorly laid out tables and chairs. Very dark, humid and no real lighting and ventilation so too warm. Although staff did seem friendly and there was a good selection of drinks and snacks. The food itself was not well presented and overpriced. No value for money. I paid 5/5.50 for a box of nachos which looked unappetising with an a tiny scap of what appeared to be lettuce. Been to vrevolution in Manchester and burger lols in Sheffield which were better value for money and looked a lot more appetising and impressive. My partner got burger and a few nachos for about around 5 pound which looked plain and bland didn't come with fries. We've made better at home. Didn't find anything special about this place other than the very cute dogs in there. Wouldn't recommend unless you want to pay over the odds for really bad food.

Pros: he cute dogs, friendly staff, good snacks and drinkstop selections

Cons: overpriced, poorly presented food and place, dark and humid

oh that burger...

That burger is amazing, I chose ketchup, mustard and sweet chilli, soooooo goood... shame they don't do real fries to come with the burger.
The focacia bread was sooooo gooood too... I am addicted now to that place and must go back.
The doughnuts are just the best I ever had in all my life.
The coffee with peanut butter (uhhh peanut butter in coffe???) was delicious.
Disappointed with the éclair, it was made with bread dough, not pastry.
And there was a cream cake that was just bland.
All in all very good.
Staff is very friendly and chatty if we speak to them :)

Pros: Burger, Focacia bread, Doughnuts

perfect for the vegan on road

This place was just ideal for a quick grub up and had loads of take out snacks, sanwhiches, fake meats and cheeses, aswell as sweet snacks like cookies and muffins. Some cool merchandise is also available like mugs and fridge magnets. Met with kind staff. Cool and quirky, a great spot to chill out or take out.

Pros: loads of variety, quirky , plenty of take outs for food on road

Cons: slightly small cafe , not so many healthier options

Perfect!

This place is perfect! Unbelievably delicious, high quality food which tastes like the non vegan versions but better. Stupidly cheap and a huge choice! Cakes, cookies, merigues, pies, tarts, burgers, burritos, kebab, barbeque wraps, a range of ice creams, quesadillas and a range of other things are on sale along with stocking SSOV merchandise and vegan products from across the globe! (including foreign cheeze!) Definitely go if you aren't a health freak or have non vegan friends who want to learn... Hehe.

Pros: Tons to chose from, Cheap, So delicious

love this place. ?

Staff are mega friendly and helpful.
I take my girls in here (my eldest calls it the unicorn cafe) ??
I love the savoury tart and cakes !! The almond latte is also a favourite of mine.
Very dog friendly too. Took my ?? in and they enjoyed the fuss.
The only thing that's missing is an option of sides - sweet potato fries or a butternut squash salad, but that's being mega fussy.
Will continuing visiting at least once a week.

Vegan junk food

We were recommended to try Vx when visiting Bristol. I was surprised at the location, it's not central to Bristol city centre.

There's a varied menu available but not extensive choices. We opted for the loaded nachos, hot dog and kebab wrap. Service was extremely quick. All were fine, it's quick, filling, vegan junk food and doesn't pretend to be anything else. I took away some cake, determined to not miss out. The cakes here are huge!

I was expecting a wider range of goods for sale. But picked up several different vegan cheeses I hadn't seen locally recently. Prices seemed a little bit higher than other stores I frequent.

Staff were great. Friendly, welcoming and attentive.

Pros: Very quick service, Staff

Cons: Location , Prices a little higher than other stores

Vegan Junk Food heaven!

Not all vegans just eat salad and juice, not all vegans are obsessed with raw food and "clean living"... this is why VX exists, and it's great! Admittedly when I went there it had a kinda limited menu, so I am giving it a 4 for that reason, but it may upgrade to a 5 if I go again and see more options :) They have a fridge section where I bought a block of fantastic cheese (Jeezo brand) which you can't buy anywhere else in Bristol as far as I know... it was brilliant for toasties!

Pros: Vegan junk food!

Cons: not many options

fab!

Having given up on London VX because of the incredibly rude, cliquey staff I was so happy to find the staff at Vx Bristol so lovely!
I was really impressed by the gluten free cakes!
Really fantastic in there!
