Other options are much better - Edit
Well, if you cook at home vegan or vegetarian way, the food here will be in any point special. Is only one waiter-a kind girl- for everybody, clearly not enought. Not very creative food, not special, desorder, some kind of litle pankakes were burned. i miss the "love" in the food and in the place. I was in the breakfast buffet, place was dirty, desorder, they need more waiters. I had the feeling that this place in the past was a really good place but now they lost the hope. Better go to other places in Berlin

Great food in a homey, typically German atmosphere. - Edit
Decided to go for a spontaneous dinner here on a Thursday night. Tried the cordon bleu dish which was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend it! The tiramisu and mango lassi (which actually tasted of mango, unlike in some other places) also trumped our expectations. Prices are fine and the waitress was friendly and welcoming. Heard brunch is well sought out - will definitely be reserving to try it out soon!

That brunch is life! - Edit
I tell you the brunch they offer Saturdays and Sundays, is just epic!
Read moreEverything is delicious - especially all the salads are just very flavorful and rich.
If you want to make a reservation, which you should, ask to sit downstairs. It is very cosy and more private there.
They also except credit cards, but are currently expanding that to international cards as well. Therefore currently it might happen that only local cards are excepted. I asked the owner, as it is stated that they only except cash on HappyCow. Him, and all the other waiters were very nice and polite as well btw.
I will return for sure:)

Lovely Dinner - Edit
We came here for dinner without a reservation (mid week) and received a warm welcome. The menu was small (3 starters, 9 mains, 2 desserts) but we found something we each liked. The faux meat was amazing in the caesar salad, but a bit too realistic in the roulade, very beefy, almost like fatty meat. But the service was friendly and everything tasted amazing. Note, cash payments only.

Really tasty food! - Edit
I had the vegan carbonara penne with soy meat and it was seriously one of the best thing ever!!! The starters were also really delicious.
Read moreNote that they really don’t like fur there (even fake ones) as I had my jacket with some fake fur on it and they asked me to hide the fur part...
Oh also - the tiramisu is delicious as well!

Cosy place, great food and brunch - Edit
We visited the Viasko for their brunch. Our experience was that the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere at the restaurant is nice and comfortable. The food was delicious. They have a good variety of different warm, cold and sweet and salty dishes.
Read moreThere is just one thing that you should know: The owner wishes no fur or fake fur in the restaurant. A woman next to us had fake fur at the hood of her jacket, the staff explained her friendly that they wish even no fake fur. She curled her hood that the fake fur wasn't visible anymore and it was no problem. For us is this no point to critzise the restaurant. It's their special wish at their guest and in exchange they serve absolutely great vegan food.
Pros: Very good brunch, lovely place

best brunch EVER! - Edit
The first stop of our Berlin trip was the weekend brunch at Viasko. I read lots of good reviews but also some bad but I really could NOT see/taste/feel anything bad. The two waiters were so nice and the food. OMG the food!!! Still dreaming about this whole perfectly arranged buffet. Everyone can find something there. I wish we had something similar in Austria because I've never seen/tasted anything like this before. Also the hot chocolate (not included) with the vanilla milk foam was the best I've ever had. If you have any doubts because of a not-so-good review... FORGET them. Trust me. You'll see what I mean when you have the first sight of the brunch buffet there :)

Could've been great. - Edit
I want to love this place but I've been there 3 times over the last couple of years now and I keep realizing that I'm leaving unsatisfied.
Read moreI have been there for the Sunday brunch and they do have a big selection of dishes, both cold salads and hot food. They do feel a bit random though, maybe they want to offer something for everyone but I would appreciate fewer but well put together dishes over a great selection of mediocre ones.
In general the food has been quite tasteless and I've catched myself thinking I could make it better at home. It's not crazy expensive but the brunch plus a drink ends up not feeling worth it for me.
Again, it has some potential but it's almost frustrating that it doesn't really make it all the way. There are better brunch/breakfast options in the area.
Pros: Nice space
Cons: Bland food , Not great value for money, All over the place selection

looks like a pub for sailors, tastes like a restaurant for foodies - Edit
Try the avocado starter! Inside it looks a bit like in a pub - I'm not saying that's a bad thing, can be romantic as well, but if it's nice try the outside and relax in the garden - both is nice. :) Menu offers things that aren't served anywhere else, finally a change from the many asian options there are in the city. Try the cheese spaetzle and in any case the avocado starter! The chef is very talented and skilled, eventhough he said he isn't vegan himself he does an outstanding job.

They really offer a lot for brunch! The self made seitan was amazing! Some salads were super good, some ok, guess that is personal taste. Unfortunately they haven't had that many cakes or sweets for brunch and what they had wasn't good for my taste.

incredible brunch!! - Edit
we all had an AMAZING time at Viasko when we came here for brunch a while ago. it was sunny and nice and i'm glad we booked a table in advance and sat outside!
Read morethe buffet was huge! different cereals, dips, marmelade, yoghurt, fruits, salads, veggies, bread. there are several different marinated tofus and seitan (my personal highlight). some hot and some cold dishes.
tried to try everything and all i had was incredibly delicious. everything but the sushi. the sushi wasn't either good nor original. it actually didn't fit the place. i'd say get rid of it and do more of what you do best!
it's true, it's not the cheapest and i kinda disliked that there are no drinks included at all (one hot drink would be nice). it's a great place though and i totally recommend it!
the place is lovely and the service was attentive and quick!
Pros: lovely location, brunch buffet had a lot of choices, taste!!!!!
Cons: sushi, no drinks with the brunch buffet, bit pricey

Book a table unless you're planning to be the first in the queue. I've only been here for brunch and it's always packed. It's totally worth it. Don't try to bite more than you can chew - try to sample all the dishes because there are so many and they are almost all delicious.
Read moreOnce you've been here twice you notice that the dishes are almost always the same every Sunday. But I'll pass that detail as there's just so many dishes that you can't really get bored of it.
Brunch starts at 13 euros last time I checked. Drinks not included.
Fur and fake fur not allowed in this place! :)
Pros: Lots os different dishes, Freshly made juices, smoothies, coffees, Different milks available (oat, almond, soy...)
Cons: You must book a table

Unbelievable brunch - Edit
I am not the hugest fan of the German style brunches - preferring a good order of French toast or pancakes myself - but if I could visit Viasko every week, I might come around. I can't add much to the reviews below - they are all true. Not visiting Viasko for brunch when in Berlin would be idiotic. Everything I tried was delicious, and there were tons of options. I could not recommend more highly. Along with Lucky Leek, Leckereinfabrik and Cafe Tuong, one of my favourites in Berlin.
