40 bhats for a vegan plate, about the same for a nice dessert. You can't go wrong visiting this huge mall food court. Just make sure to avoid the eggs and dairy!

This place is great if you’re after some cheap food. No, it’s not the best Thai food I’ve had, but for 30/40 baht for a mix of dishes and rice, it’s great.
Read moreMake sure you ask which dishes have egg in, as not everything is vegan.
Worth noting that some of the dishes aren’t warm if they aren’t right under the heating light. Also, as other reviews have said, the canteen area can be hard to find seating at peak times.
Pros: Lots of options, Cheap
Cons: Dishes not always warm, Seating can be tricky

Incredible Value - Edit
8 to 10 premade bulk dishes for you to choose from. Some of the fried variety. Full plate of your choosing will set you back only 40-60 bhat. Have eaten here many times and the quality can be a tad inconsistent but regardless you can’t beat the value. Fried mushrooms, broccoli in brown sauce and the scrambled tofu stand out.

Inconsistent - Edit
The quality varies depending on which entrées they happen to have available when you visit. It seems random. Sometimes it's delicious, sometimes not... but it's cheap enough either way.

Quite tasty - Edit
The stall is vegetarian, and about 3 ish of the choices were vegan, although definitely specify no eggs when ordering. It was very quick, cheap and okay in taste. Definitely got what I paid for!

Very Good - Edit
The second food court in a mall I visited, this one was better. I am not sure what I had, but I ate it all and considered going back for a second portion, but settled for some sticky mango rice instead.
Read moreTo update I have been back since and it was just as good, with different dishes and more choice as I went just after the centre opened. Of the three Thai Vegetarian Food courts I have now tried, this one has been the best in terms of food quality and price. I had a ice mango smoothie to drink and I had two scoops of ice cream for desert this time (normal milk, vegetarian), but was so tempted by the Mango and Sticky Rice again as it is so fresh.

Cheap and tasty enough! - Edit
We went here tonight after not realising quite how good Pier 21 would be and where it was. It's in the Terminal 21 complex on the top floor and you top up a card with calculated or guessed amount to then spend at different stalls (up market counters). There was only one Veggie stall that I found, to the left hand side, 2 stalls in with a sign clearly saying vegetarian. The food was tasty enough but not very hot. My advice would be to ask for separate plated dishes to keep flavours separate and have a restaurant sharer vibe with your friends. It's a busy, family environment and you might have to share a table with others.

What a Gem! - Edit
Such a relief to find a place to eat in the giant mall that wasn't expensive. The food was delicious and had tonnes of choices like 10 or so different options and at a price of 40 baht you can try 3 different choices with rice. Bargain! Vegan/vegetarian hard to know which had egg but I just chose the stirfried veg, noodles and curry based one,all very good.

Something -probably the cooking oil - didn't agree with me. - Edit
Ate here twice.
Read moreGood selection, taste ranging from fairly good to very tasty.
And cheap.
Served by 2 unsmiling young men.
One of them responds to "Egg?" when I point to a food tray, but no info available beyond that. (To find out if the dish is vegan or vegetarian).
The other is sullen and responds to no questions.
But something didn't agree with me in the food which I imagine is their cooking oil.
No other reviewer has noted that so I will give it another try next time I'm in Bangkok.
Note that at the front of this Food Court area there is a stall with inexpensive fresh cut fruit.
I'm pretty sure for 18 Baht.
A dessert stall has Sticky Rice with Mango for a good price.
I read that the vendors on the Food Court can sell at street food prices because the owner doesn't take a cut but lets the cheap prices bring customers into the mall.
Necessary to first deposit money with the cashier and receive a plastic card which is used to pay the stalls.
Excess money is refunded with no problem.

I've eaten here so many times, its cheap, but lacking in quality and not really that tasty, but you get what you paid for I guess, its cheap for a reason. But it holds a place in my heart, I'm grateful to have vegetarian/vegan food at a cheap price in the Asoke area, will eat here again soon.

Amazing food at street food prices - Edit
I tried two dishes with rice and my partner did the same, so we tried four dishes in total. All of them were absolutely delicious, healthy and packed with fresh veggies. My partner isn’t vegetarian and he loved it. In the end, we only paid 35 baht for each plate - bargain!!!
Read moreIf you’re vegan or lacto-vegetarian, say “no egg” and they’ll point out what you can have. The staff have very basic English so indicate with your fingers how many dishes you want (you can get up to three with rice included). Another tourist next to me was asking detailed questions about the food and it was painful to watch - just take a chance on whatever looks good to you and go with the flow!
A few things to note:
- You have to charge up a card first with money at one of the two coupon counters nearby because no cash is taken. You can get a refund on unused money.
- There were two condiments available. My partner said one tasted like it contained fish sauce... There is such a thing as vegan fish sauce, but to be on the safe side, stick to the chilli flakes.
- The food can be really spicy. I love it but some might find it too authentic! Avoid anything with visible red chilli if you can’t handle it.
- The food court is located in the centre of the 5th floor and called Pier 21. It gets extremely hard to find seats at meal times, so if you’re with someone, one person should reserve a table. Here’s a map: http://www.terminal21.co.th/asok/shop/th/5f
Get off at Asok BTS Station and take the Skywalk there. You can’t miss it.
Happy eating! :)
Pros: Delicious, Authentic Thai food, Super cheap
Cons: Very busy food court, No English, Could be too spicy for some
