Tasty dumplings with lots of options

We visited this restaurant twice during our stay in Beijing. There are around 15 dumpling filling options with about half of them being vegan. The non vegan options are marked with an egg symbol. I recommend trying the eggplant and tomato, and the fried potato with vinegar dumplings.

The dumplings cost around 8.5 RMB for 5 dumplings but there is a minimum order of 10 dumplings per filling.

Lovely dumplings

Tasty veggie dumplings, a rarity for China, the cabbage and peanut ones were particularly good. Nice staff and English on the menu. Each table has a little pot of mustard, vinegar and 辣椒油 (chilli oil) to go with your dumplings.
It's actually located just beside the pictured sign, on the main road not on the little side alley.
Also note, dumplings must be ordered in sets of 10 which means putting a number 2 in the box on the menu (as in 2 两's - an old Chinese measurement equivalent to about 50g). Cost us 35元 for 2 sets and a take away box.

Pros: Loads of different veggie Chinese food, nice inter

Cons: Dumplings must be ordered in 10s, it's a bit more

so hot and so yummy

We ate there three times because it was sooooo good. The dumplings are good but lack a little bit of spicyness. Really good are the dry fried beans and the shredded fried potatoes. They are made sezchuan style and burst with flavour.

Staple chinese cuisine that's good value.

I went their twice because it was easy to find and close to where I was staying.

I appreciate good dumplings so twas great to have this place to explore the veg options in this range.

The leek dumplings were scrumptious and they had a sort of wasabi style mustard that I liked to go with them.

There were also these deep fried leek or maybe chinese cabbage and sesame patties that were particularly sumptuous but you need to find it in the picture menu.

The hot and sour soup twas lovely and one bowl was plentiful for two.

The only downer is you could only seem to order sets of dumplings in bulk of 10 so you couldn't try different types in one order and trying request it via no english from the staff was not possible.

Pros: good value, good portions, english menu

Cons: staff speak no english, can only order 10 dumplings in one set

Veg Dumplings? Yes!

There are all these famous dumpling places in the north of China. Unfortunately the only non meat ones are usually egg and chives... for vegans... well just learn how to make your own at home... until now!
This place has a large selection of dumplings, as well as traditional Beijing cold dishes, and some staples as well. Its a real treat to be able to try so many Beijing classics without worrying about pig fat or any of the other hidden surprises that may be lurking normally.

Pros: Large selection of dumplings, Beijing classic fare

Cons: hard to choose, their chilli sauce isnt spicy at all

Good dumplings 'n stuff

Dumplings are the main reason to go here, remember to order enough and takeaway for later. But there's much more in the menu too, and ordering is easy with english. As prices are very decent I ended up frequening the place many times during my stay in Beijing.

Pros: Lots of food with good price

Tasty chinese style vegeterian food

Went there with family today. Food s tasty, provided you like Chinese style, and rather inexpensive - three dishes cost 108RMB. Tofu & bok choy noodle soup is very satiating ^_^

Good and affordable food

We went here twice during our stay in Beijing. Food was good and compared to other restaurants on the cheaper side. Many varieties of dumplings, cold appetizers and noodle dishes. They have an English menu but the staff hardly speaks any English.
