Great meat dishes and hospitality - Edit
The grill plate and the Makali plate (i.a. hummus, grilled vegetables) are highly recommended. We also got a dessert on the house from Berlin‘s friendliest restaurant owner. A clear recommendation if you fancy inexpensive Mediterranean cuisine that also offers classic meat dishes in vegan form.

The service was soooo friendly. Prepare for A LOT of food, if you’re hungry, you definitely won’t be afterwards. Prepare also for lots of oil (a bit too much for me). Everything was very delicious and you could feel that everything was done with heart. Will go there again, definitely.

The food was so extremely good. We could not stop eating. We ate here twice. The first day we ate at the location and the second day we had take away. The lovely owner handed me a bag with cookies to "bring back to my wife" free of charge. Highly recommend this place!

Wide selection of starters, mains and mixed plates. The pasta and pizza options surprised me as the rest are Middle Eastern dishes, but maybe that is necessary to get enough orders. When I dropped by for a Sunday lunch, I was the only customer and decided to get a takeaway. I was offered a free drink and cookie while the dish was made, which was a nice touch. The portion was huge, the food tasty, will definitely come again. You can eat in, take out or order delivery.

Very large vegan menu. Delicious food and amazing preparation “from the heart”. The fattoush salad was the most amazing I’ll likely ever eat. Surrounded by warm crisps that tasted amazing with the salad and dressing. Oh my! Hummus was freshly prepared (and fabulous). Large portions. Friendly, welcoming, delicious. Wish we’d found it earlier - I’d have eaten there multiple times! Thank you!

Wir haben das kleine Restaurant zufällig entdeckt und waren sehr positiv überrascht. Es sieht zwar etwas rumpelig aus, aber das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Portionen sehr groß. Wir hatten Linsensuppe und Schawarmateller. Nicht ganz so günstig, trotzdem ein Klare Empfehlung!

Read moreI ordered a dish whose name I had never heard or seen before. Received my boiling hot vegetables after maybe ten minutes. As my brother always says: Food should be hot.
I was quite hungry, so of course I burned my palate and tongue within a minute. The cauliflower was quite overcooked, but tasted good. However, the dish contained a bit too much oil for my taste.
After the payment it was Baklava and some small cake as a plaster on the wound.
I will probably visit this place again in the future.
Pros: Quick and friendly service, despite one-man-show, All-vegan
Cons: Somewhat oily and slightly overcooked vegetables, Ginger tea smelled like an all-purpose cleaner, No card payment (?)

I had a Grillmixteller and it was a huge portion of vegan „meat“ served with some antipasti, potatoes and pita. It was a huge plate that left me filled for the rest of the day- and normally I am hungry all the time😉The owner was sooo nice and helpful, despite the language barrier. I only give 4 stars because I felt that the food, especially the „meat“, could have a little more taste. But still I would love to come back and try the other dishes. Definitely worth checking out!

Read moreWir hatten eine Linsensuppe, Shawarma und Mak luba. Dazu gab es noch Brot so viel man wollte, eingelegtes Gemüse und ein Tee zum Abschluss. Alles war wirklich sehr lecker und wir wurden super satt- obwohl wir wirklich seeeehr viel essen können :P
Der Besitzer hat uns so lieb empfangen, obwohl er viel zu tun hatte.

We came here because this review page had me convinced of the owner's heart for the place and food made with love, and both did not disappoint. When I eat out, I want a good atmosphere and food with a personal touch, and something I won't easily make at home. This is one of those places. Just don't expect a lot of luxury.
Read moreAt first glance the place looked like a regular take-away cafe that I don't ever set a foot into, but I took a chance and it paid off. In spite of the slight language barrier (the owner didn't speak English, and we only a little German), we could communicate just fine. We ordered a big plate to share so it was a surprise what exact dishes we would get but everything was really wonderful. I didn't find the falafel amazing but my partner did, so it's a matter of taste. I found the baked potato slices in garlic oil amazing and better than most fries I've ever had! There were some flavors on the plate that I didn't care much for, but I did for others, and even then there was enough for 2 people to have a good meal.
We tried to ask the owner what kind of ice cream flavors there were but this was either not understood or it was not sold anymore, because the owner kept saying he could offer us the Milch Reis which had ice cream on top. So we decided to have that and what we got was vegan dessert rice but not quite like the one described in the menu... I think we got the better deal, though. The rice itself reminded me a lot of dairy, which I don't like but what others would love. The ice cream was more frozen mango puree than ice cream and very good. Together they were a lovely dessert.
For drinks I ordered a drink that I had to get myself from the fridge inside and I had to ask for a bottle opener when I couldn't find one. The tea my partner ordered only arrived when the food arrived, too, which may be customary in other cultures but was a bit of a surprise to us.
Contrary to the info on this page, it was possible to pay with card and not only cash.
Please note: There is not a lot of (outdoor) seating space and it was getting quite crowded near the end of the meal (when we left, the table was immediately taken up by new customers) so better be on time.
There is a toilet but it seemed to be more the employee toilet than one for customers: there was no toilet paper, part of the toilet was missing and an employee's jacket was hanging on the inside hook. Still, you could pee and wash your hands.
Pros: great food, great vibes
Cons: not a lot of (outdoor) seating space, less luxury and service than expected

I took the falafel wrap (falafel im brot) to go and ate it hours later on a train, cold. Still, it was one of the best, most delicious falafel wraps I’ve ever had! The falafel itself was great, and the other ingredients were flavourful. There were lots of them and they worked really well together.
