Lovely

Super nice lady owner, best grilled cheese ever and nice place for some vegan shopping. She has a vegan Pastel de Nata which is a very popular treat in Portugal.

Pros: All vegan, Pastel de nata, Groceries

Go!

Great vegan cafe/snack bar/shop in Bolhao area. Very good sandwiches, pastries and coffee. Salads and burgers as well. Inexpensive, colorful and quiet. The owner is really kind. Recommended!

the best vegan shop in Porto!

I stayed longer in Porto and had the pleasure to go to this place many times. Marcia, the owner, always provide different pastries every day and some of it are tradicional portuguese pastries (such as pastel de nata). The tost with vegan cheese is delicious! And the shop has many vegan products that I couldnt find anywhere else.

Pros: has different vegan products

Cons: none

Great place

The location is not the best but the food is lovely. Miscellaneous vegan options for food and drinks. Might be because I'm newly vegan that I really like this place but they have a rich variety of options.

The best in porto for shopping and snacking

The traditional Portuguese savory snacks and pastries are fantastic! For those who are vegan and want to try the vegan version of very traditional staple snacks and typical pastry in Portugal, this is the best place. So far I have tasted the dried tomato peppers and olives pies, the leek pies, the jackfruit dumplings and the Tentúgal pastries and they are simply amazing. In the charcuterie the smoked vegetable "alheiras" (a kind of traditional Portuguese sausage) are outstanding and the "linguiças" ( another typical sausage) are a rustic must! Offers such a great variety of cheeses and tofu. The smoked sliced cheese for toasts is a delight. There are many others great cheeses for various occasions and dishes. Definitely a pearl in the north for a life full of gluttony and with no animal oppression at very affordable prices

Melhor vegan spot do Porto

Fizemos a tour vegan no Porto e a Vegana foi de longe onde comemos melhor e fomos mais bem atendidos.
Best vegan food in Porto, different sandwiches, hot and cold, different cakes and pastries every day and maybe vegan organic products in their grocery store.

Pros: Warm comfort food, Incredibly cheap, 5 star service

Inspired me to leave my first ever review!

I couldn't love this little shop/cafe more. I had a fantastic burger there today, we took away a litre of bio-wine for €2, I had countless coffees there and honestly I could have bought half the shop if I wasn't on a strict mini break budget!

The burger was one of the best vegan burgers I've had and the coffee is always great.

The owner is also delightful and has impeccable English so I don't have to embarrass us both with my awful Portuguese.

Highly recommended.

Pros: Friendly , Good opening hours , Good value

We went here twice during our short visit to Porto. The place is nice, quite simple but really nice. The food is nothing fancy, but really tasty and filling. To me it was a perfect place for breakfast.
The carrot cake was amazing.
Very affordable.

It's a very nice place: go there!

We fell in love with the place and the owner: she is caring and sweet, the food on the menu is simple but genuine and made with love. The dishes are abundant and fairly cheap. Totally recommended if you are ok with cold dishes and don't mind waiting a little.

Nice place!

It's a cozy shop with a small restaurant on the side. The shop sells all the basic vegan groceries, and the restaurant offers sandwiches, salads and some desserts. The prices are on the lower side compared with other places in Porto. For example, sandwiches are 2-3€ and the cake was 1.6€ for a big slice.
The service was very friendly and the overall atmosphere left a very good impression. Highly recommended for all Porto visitors.

Pros: Good value , Shop-restaurant combination , Friendly service

Nice breakfast

I came here and chose a sandwich for breakfast. (3€) It was made with love and was huge. It tasted good too. The shop has many vegan products, many are from Germany.
I can recommend the cosy atmosphere, its like sitting in your own living room.
Good luck with getting started!

Pros: Many options of sandwiches.

Cons: No warm meals.

So glad we found this place,

What a great place! Many vegan restaurants and shops are closed on Sunday & Monday, so Vegana really saved the day! We had a simple grilled ham & cheese sandwich that was really delicious. They serve coffee, desserts, and other sandwiches. We also bought some chocolate and an incredible sausage that we got from the refrigerated case. The owner is very sweet, speaks perfect English and suggested several vegan places to check out. Every one of her suggestions has been spot on. We are definitely going back before we leave Porto to get more goodies to bring home with us.

Pros: simple and tasty fare, warm and friendly atmosphere, open 7 days a week

1st all vegan grocery/café from Porto (city)

Vegana is the first shop to sell vegan products only in Porto city (in Porto district EasyGreen was the first in Maia city).
It's well located (city center) and it has a little of everything.
You can buy some stuff in bulk and the owner is very helpful, and offered us some cooked vegan sausages as a snack to pinch.
The prices are ok, some are good and some are less good, you have to choose what's best for you, I really think it's good to support full vegan shops and restaurants.
Hope it keeps growing (it opened recently).

Pros: Location, Vegan, Cozy

Cons: Many plastics, Could be cheaper? (for portuguese standards)
