Vegan yes

This restaurant had amazing food, and very helpful staff, who really explain the fusion menu. Food was reasonably priced, and the mochi was delicious. Would go back.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Very tasty and unique

I didn't think I was going to like this as much as I did but I wanted to try something different (I'm all burgered-out here) and I'm pleased to say it was very satisfying. We had the toppognochhi and the raw kimchi salad and both were super tasty. The ingredients are very fresh and the olive oil is incredibly flavourful. Very nice owner who explained everything and was super helpful.

Interesting flavours

I had the toppognocchi, which I loved. The texture of the gnocchi and rice cakes was great, and the sauce was delicious. My friend ordered the kimchi lasagna - the spinach salad that came with it totally stole the show! It was soooo tasty. The dark mochi is a must have.

Best Resturant Ever

Homemade food AND drinks! Seriously tasty, came here because me and my boyfriend were curious about kimchi lasagna and I don't regret one second at all!! Planned to get one dish to share but ended up ordering two dishes and a side dish! Chef was so kind and helpful, kimchi sample was seriously tasty and refreshing!! If you are able to go please do so! And don't forget to pick up your Dark Mochi loyalty card!!

Pros: All vegan, Excellent Service, SERIOUSLY TASTY

Cons: Non

Very delicious and fun!

Interesting flavours! Friendly staff! What’s not to like. And who would have thought that Italian and Korean food goes so well together! We will definitely come back another time. It’s one of those places where you wish you could try everything on the menu!

Unique (apart from the other Vegan Yes)

My wife and I called in late on a Sunday. It was empty and I have no idea where all the vegans must have gone. The food, drink and service were first class, and absolutely delicious. If you are anywhere near, put Vegan Yes on your list of places you MUST visit.

You must also try the Mochi (dont ask, just trust me!)

Pros: Vegan heaven with kimchi

Best Mochi Ever!

We visited Vegan Yes in the late afternoon and decided to eat early. The proprietors were very helpful, explaining the menu and giving additional information about the food. The food is freshly prepared and cooked onsite by their Italian chef, who blends his passion for traditional home cooked Italian food with his interest in Korean dishes and flavours (Chef Mauro’s wife is Korean). This fusion of flavours was a treat for the tastebuds and I only wish I could’ve tried more, but the portions were so generous and filling! Luckily, we bought four dark mochi to try later and were not disappointed - they were sweet, soft and chewy, coated with chocolate and sprinkled with sesame seeds, hemp seeds, sunflower seeds or ground almonds; the best we’ve ever tasted!

Pros: Delicious food, Generous portions , Friendly and informative staff

Cons: Small cafe, Cash only

These geniusses have opened my eyes on a grand new continent: the fusion of corean and italian cuisine. Since then, I have gnocchi with kimchi all the time at home.
I'm eternally grateful

Pros: an amazing discovery, the owner is very interresting and sharing

Gosh....that food is good

I stumbled across the Brick Lane outlet in the summer and was initial a bit sceptical that Italian/Korean fusion food would work. Well, they make it work here. Been there three times now and just polished off the sausages and the dark chocolate Mochi again....Big thumbs up.

Exciting fusion food!

Really exciting menu with a mix of Italian and Korean food. We had the lasagna bolognese and the kimchi lasagna, and 4 mochis (dessert!). And we tried a blue tea and a moringa latte as well. And a hemp sausage! Very exciting!
We especially loved the bolognese lasagna, the tea and the mochis. And the dressing on the spinach was amazing.
Also the owner/staff is really friendly and helpful. We had some trouble with our suitcase and borrowed some scissors to try to fix it, as we were headed straight for the airport after our visit, and the staff was really sweet and caring. We will be back!
PS. You HAVE to try the mochis. And the blue tea. :)

Cons: Cash only

We went to Vegan Yes because we wanted a change from the burgers and diners and were not disappointed. We tried a number of dishes and our favourite was the Kimchi Lasagna.
The couple running the place were super friendly as well so I would definitely recommend it.

Friendly service

Adventurous options - all vegan and with an emphasis on healthy nutrition. The mushroom gnocchi was amazing. Tiny snack bar, one member of staff (she spoke broken English) but incredibly friendly welcome and warm service.

Pros: Healthy , Friendly , Unusual menu

Cons: Lots of kimchi (I’m not a fan), Small snack bar

Unique Fusion Place

As we entered this tiny, mostly take-away style place, the one staff member working offered me a seaweed snack out of its plastic container which was quirky but cool. There were several large posters on the walls explaining some of the dishes and how the chef owner (Italian counselor and tantric yogi?) and his wife invented them. I ordered the kimchi lasagna because kimchi lasagna! My husband got the Bolognese lasagna. While the dishes are homemade, there's no kitchen, so the food is heated up and served to you. The serving size was generous and the spinach side salad was tasty. The kimchi lasagna was spicy and I enjoyed it but my husband didn't like it. He did like his lasagna though. They have chocolate mochi (it's quite sweet but good) and chocolate mousse (not that sweet, very creamy) and next time we'll try the chocolate gnocchi, because chocolate gnocchi! The non-alcohol drink selection was limited.

Pros: All vegan! Totally unique!

Cons: You need to be taste adventurous

As a lover of lasagne I tried lasagne Bolognese, and it did not disappoint! As a side there was a baby spinach salad with the most delicious dressing.

Yes Italian/Korean fusion works!

Had lunch there the other day, fabulous Kimchi in four different flavours, my partner had the noodle soup also delicious. The chef gave us a complimentary bruschetta which was the best I have tasted. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended.

Pros: something familiar yet different, great menu, staff

Cons: pasta mains a bit pricey for us

Bijou and welcoming

Small place but big menu and tasty food. I mean, Korean-Italian fusion, who would have thought it? I had the sausage kimchi and thoroughly enjoyed it. Prices very reasonable, beer and wine served (all vegan of course). Vegan Yes? Yes.

Pros: All vegan, good food, friendly and helpful.

Cons: It's a small place, not for coach parties
