Wowsers - Edit
I was thrilled to try out a fusion of Italian and Korean cuisine, two of my favorite culinary styles, and I wasn't disappointed.
Read moreUpon entering, the lively atmosphere and friendly staff immediately set the tone for a great dining experience. We were promptly seated and treated to a complimentary kimchi sampler, which was a delightful touch to help us decide on our main dishes.
We opted to share the kimchi bibimbap, tempeh kimchi, and toppognochi, and each dish presented a delightful explosion of flavors. The generous portions ensured we got great value for our money, and sharing allowed us to enjoy a variety of tastes.
For dessert, we indulged in a chocolate mousse and Dark Chocolate Mochi. The mochi was particularly outstanding, and the mousse, complemented by a seeded topping that added an extra layer of richness to the dish.
Even now, an hour after leaving the restaurant, the myriad of flavors from our meal still lingers on my palate.
It's the kind of dining experience that leaves a lasting impression.
Whether you're a fan of Italian or Korean cuisine, or simply seeking something new and exciting, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. It's an opportunity to embark on a culinary journey unlike any other.

You get a small plate with different Kimchi to try and choose from for your main meal. Had the tempeh kimchi which was nice.

Mostly good - Edit
All the kimchi options are great. The nachos was disappointing (a plate of crisps and a dip that was pretty bland). The menu is interesting and the service is good.

Delicious Italian Korean food in Brick Lane. I got the bibimbap and it was really nice although also very simple ingredient-wise.

EAT HERE! - Edit
Wow, so just the novelty and ethos drew us in, but the food was SO DELICIOUS!! The owner was fun, nice casual ambiance, but holy smokes our whole family (non vegans included) loved it so much that we came back the next night lol. Such a special place we won't forget.

Delicious! Great drinks as well! - Edit
Delicious food and a wonderful owner. I ended up eating more on the Italian side than the Korean side. It's a married couple, the guy is Italian and the girl is korean. I did have a kimchi mojito that was fantastic, never really tried something like that before!

Really kind owners, delicious and healthy food - Edit
We were welcomed by Dr. Min, one of the owners, and she was so lovely and kind. The kombucha, sushi burgers, kimchi, black bean inari, and seaweed salad were delicious!!! The star of the show was the dark chocolate mochi though. One of the best desserts I’ve ever had. We also grabbed one of their kimchi recipe books before leaving - excited to try some out!

Must see - Edit
One of the best restaurant experiences of the past years.
Read moreChef Mauro and Dr. Lin are great people. Never met them before but they treated us as if we were old friends.
The food was wild. Not going into detail here. Go and find out yourself.
The opening hours are flexible towards the end. You won't get rushed here to leave if it's getting close to 8pm.
Pros: The mix of two completely different cuisines , The people running it, The food itself
Cons: Nothing really.

Fascinating food - Edit
I hadn't been to Vegan Yes since it was at Holloway Road many years ago. I'm pleased it has survived and that Mauro and Min are still experimenting with flavours and textures. I had the Happy Potato which was very nice, followed by the extraordinary Chocolate Potato. which is gnocchi covered in dark chocolate. The mix works but is very rich.

I found my tribe on Brick Lane in London. Heavy emphasis on kimchi, but really good kimchi - which you get to sample as a taster with a variety of types. Food is truly healthy both for promoting health, but also avoid unhealthy foods, like fried or fat heavy.
Read moreA lot of great homemade options, including kombucha, and definitely worth a visit.
Pros: Kimchi, Proper healthy food , Fabulous and passionate owner
Cons: Only take cash, Would have loved a side salad, Great location on Brick Lane

Good but forgettable - Edit
First it says on a poster that you cannot pay by card, but when asking to the owners you actually can pay by card. Very confusing. The place is quite small so come early to make sure that you get a seat. I got the Kimchi Tempeh dish, which was ok but so forgettable. This place is so overrated, do not come in the area just for this restaurant.

I went to London two months ago and this place was heaven on earth. The staff is really nice and everything is delicious, handmade and so creative. The originality of mixing such different food cultures (Korean, Italian) is literally mind blowing. Plus it’s vegan??? What could’ve I’ve ask more

Good food, unprofessional behaviour - Edit
While the food was delicious we didn’t appreciate the lecture on “cash only because the pandemic was a hoax”. Especially since card payment WAS available when we said we didn’t carry cash.
Read moreAfter the lecture the staff brought out all or take away containers with the lids open or off to explain what was in them - I don’t see why this couldn’t be achieved with the lids on. It would have been more hygienic to close the containers in the kitchen.
Pros: Good food!, Kimchi options - all delicious!, The other staff member was friendly and helpful
Cons: Unsolicited propaganda, Questionable hygiene routines
