Overrated - Edit
I was very curious about this place because all of the amazing reviews and the hype but to be honest I was disappointed. The idea is great because is the only place that offers vegan sushi but the result is still far from what I would consider delicious. I cannot say that I ate badly, but it simply wasn’t what I expected. The vegan tuna and the vegan salmon taste like nothing (I am aware that is difficult and it’s not their fault if the brand of vegan fish is not great) but the only taste was given by the sauce they put on top of the rolls. I also tried the takoyaki and the matcha tiramisu and also in this case the taste was not bad but nothing special (especially the tiramisu because it did not taste like matcha very much but more like yogurt). On the other hand, the crispy wings were very nice and tasty and I liked the yuzu lemonade as well. I am happy to have tried this place but for my personal taste I wouldn’t come again because for the experience their offer, the price is not worth it

Amazing vegan sushi - Edit
First, the miso soup was incredible— tons of mushrooms and super tasty. Then I got a specialty avocado roll which came with red rice. It was phenomenal!

Best vegan sushi I have ever eaten! - Edit
Both the sushi and the stuffed bao buns were absolutely delicious! The creations are unusual but really tasty and a new discovery for the taste buds and palate!
Read moreA small note: The seating in the restaurant is quite limited, so it's best to book a table in advance.

Taste didn't really convince me 😕 - Edit
I went to the Vegan Sushi Bar and would like to share my experience. Unfortunately, it didn't completely convince me. The atmosphere is appealing and the food looks really fancy, but the taste didn't really convince me.
Read moreI paid just under €30 for my meal and a drink, which I unfortunately found to be far too much for the portion size and the feeling of fullness. I just wasn't full... The vegan salmon on the sushi was delicious and would have tasted even more "authentic" with a bit more salt, but the vegan tuna didn't taste as good as I expected. It basically tasted like nothing.
The homemade lemonade was a bit too subtle in flavor for my taste - there was a hint of mango, but overall it didn't taste like much. I found it particularly unfortunate that the sushi rolls themselves didn't have the typical taste that I expect from sushi, especially when it came to the rice and nori leaves.
The breadcrumbs and sauce that were on top of the vegan salmon were delicious!
I think the restaurant has potential. Because every vegan restaurant is an enrichment for our world - so it would be a real shame if the experience fell short of expectations.❤️🌱
Cons: vegan tuna didn't taste like anything, Too Expensive , too small portions for the price

Highly recommend sushi & starters - Edit
We loved the starters Takoyaki and crunchy wings. Never tasted this before, we definitely come back! The sushi was one of the best sushi’s we‘ve ever eaten. We had the mighty mushroom and the no chicken teriyaki. Both were so fantastic! My boyfriend had a passionfruit&mango mochi and it tasted so good. You have to come here! The price is absolutely ok for what you get!

Great sushi - Edit
The sushi was great. We had the combo deal of a big sushi roll, dessert, a snack and a drink. It was prepared well, staff was friendly and the vibe was nice. It is pricy tho. We didn‘t eat that much due to it. Also the mochi dessert u can get a the grocery store, it definetely wasn‘t selfmade, I have had it before. So you might not need to buy it here.

Nice, but used to be better - Edit
This is a small restaurant, but the food is quite good (although it used to be better). They now have a combo menu that save you some money (if you like their homemade drinks).
Read moreI like several sushi rolls (like the ones with flambé salmon, ebi and chicken teriyaki), but also the crispy oyster wings, gyozas and sweet potato tempura. Their carrot cake, ice-cream (Montgomery) and matcha tiramisu are good as well. Some nice drinks are plum wine and yuzu and genmai sake.
What I liked less was the takoyaki, because it’s mainly salty. Also, the 2 ice-teas we tried tasted a bit watery.
This Vegan Sushi Bar establishment has a terrace, unlike the one at Kinkerstraat.

Vegan sushi bar - Edit
This place was fantastic. So creative and delicious. I had the oyster mushroom app and the no chicken roll. So so good, I wish I had room to try more. My favorite place so far here. For the travelers out there it reminded me of roots and rolls in Barcelona, super creative unique items. 30 euros for a signature roll, app and dessert. I didn’t have room for dessert

The vegan menu was satisfactory, offering a variety of dishes that were good and provided a pleasant dinner experience.
Read moreThe sushi variations are very special and varied, totally different from what you get in normal sushi restaurants. Lots of fake fish alternatives and some sushi served lukewarm, which was very tasty. It was literally a feast for the palate and one of the best sushi restaurants

Fantastic sushis!! - Edit
Rather small place, with some outdoor seating.
Read moreWe had lunch here. Order online through scanning QR code.
Had the gyozas (7,95€) delicious!!, flambe salmon (17,95€), shrimpless tempura (15,95€) salmon nigiri (7€), miso glazed maki (5,5€)
With a big bottle of water 59,30€.
We could have eaten some more, but just enough.
30€ per person.
So not cheap. But everything was truly delicious.
I really wish we had this in Belgium. Would be a regular visitor 😊
Two toilets at the back, which are super small, so not accessible for bigger persons.

The food here was so delicious!! I got the fried “chicken” made with oyster mushrooms as an appetizer and the shrimpless tempura, the mushroom speciality roll and the salmon and miso glazed tofu maki rolls. I was impressed with the amazing flavours and textures, I left here feeling very satisfied. My favourites were the fried chicken and the shrimpless tempura.
