Read moreI've been here many times before, I can tell you it's very close to what locals eat. This is not a high cuisine restaurant, but rather a bar, the type of sevillian bar that's frequented by locals, neighbours, without pretending to be something else. Do not expect healthy salads and raw vegan health foods or anything like that here. It's all about comfort food and traditional bar foods!
The montaditos are nice. I recommend the tortilla, the ensaladilla, the vegarones, and whatever they have as dishes of the day, not listed in the menu... From mustard "chicken", to sweet and sour "pork", to lasagne, gnocchi, pisto, veggie balls, stews... They work a lot with seitan and also vegan cheeses to mimic the flavours of traditional tapas. The serranito is very good as well.

Very disappointing lunchtime visit - Edit
Sevilla can be a challenge for vegans so we were looking forward to our visit to Vegan Rocks. It turned out to be a very unsatisfactory experience. The menu - or at least the one we were presented with at lunchtime - is really quite uninspiring and is filled with fake meat, fake seafood, fake cheese and lots of potatoes. There are very few fresh vegetables to be seen, which is a real shame for a vegan restaurant!

The tortilla was weirdly stodgy, the prawn & chorizo montaditos tiny & seriously understuffed and the cheesy potatoes largely tasteless. The only saving grace was the gnocchi from the specials' board. Service was decidedly surly, if not just plain rude.
I'd personally recommend going to a regular tapas bar and wading through the menu to find the vegan options. They may be few and far between but I can guarantee they'll taste better than what is on offer here.

Thank you for sharing, I could not agree more. Unhealthy fatty dishes, where are the fresh greens? They completely miss the point of embracing a vegan green lifestyle which is not wanting to stuff of fake meant and fish replacements.

Nous sommes venues 2 fois et la tortilla était absolument délicieuse, la meilleure que j’aie mangé. Les autres plats étaient bons aussi. Nous avons été un peu déçues par le dessert, pas assez équilibré à notre goût, mais ça nous apprendra à manger tiramisu en Andalousie 😸

The staff is super nice and always knows how to make you feel welcome. The restaurant is decorated with old pictures related to music, among them you can find Lole y Manuel, Smash, Lemmy, Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, The Beatles... As expected, great music is always on.
Prices have increased a bit since my last visit, so the menus you'll find in the other pictures are a bit outdated, but still very affordable and it's totally worth it.

It’s over the river from the centre, so we went on a special trip to find this place. It soon filled up at the outside tables on a Saturday lunchtime. The inside bar is tiny. We had nachos, a creamy potato dish and a baguette, probably too much!

Read moreOur first time was on the Seville Vegan Tapas Tour. We had the tortilla, chorizo sandwich and shrimp sandwich. Everything was very good.
A few days later, after a long day trip to Alhambra, we didn’t feel like going out, but we figured out the the Just Eat delivery service delivers for Vegan Rock, so we ordered delivery.
We ended up ordering way too much food, but it worked out well for appetizers. We had the nachos (delicious), papas bravas (delicious), a sausage and bacon sandwich (delicious) and a fajita (delicious). Everything was very good. This place is on the junk food side of things, so don’t go there looking for healthy food. It’s tasty comfort food.
I would recommend this place. It’s junk food, but done in Spanish style, not quite like American junk food. Healthier options can be found around town, but when you need to sink you teeth into some rich comfort food, this is great.
I would definitely go here again if I return to Seville.

Firstly, I’d like to say that the lasagne was probably the best I’ve ever had. It was a special of the day of mushroom and spinach and was so creamy and delicious. Slight issue that it was a bit too cold (room temperature rather than hot) but made it quick to eat! We also had a ‘bacon’ club sandwich which had vegan cheese and salad in it. We also had carrot cake and chocolate cake for pudding but these were only okay. Staff were really lovely.

We had booked a table and sat outside. We ordered some tapas dishes. Cheesy potatoes, lasagna, burrito with jackfruit and fajita with heurta. I really enjoyed this food. Especially the lasagna and the cheesy potatoes. They were really cheesy and tasty. We ordered the chocolate and hazelnut cake to share. It was really nice too. Service was nice and friendly and I got to hear The Ramones!

The food wasn’t good, too greasy. We didn’t understand some of the terminology on the menu for some plates and asked them very politely for help, they explained quickly and impatiently. Plus, the tapas weren’t that good. They were kind of rude with us, but were friendly to some of the other patrons, not sure why…

Food was good, especially the Albondigas. I didn't like the vegan cheese they used for the nachos that much - but my partner enjoyed it. The fried tofu was delicious, but not crispy. The NoPrawn sandwish was tasty, but didn't taste a lot like prawn.

I wanted to try their lasagna or pizza but they didn't have it so I got ratatouille and a sandwich instead. The ratatouille was too salty for me to eat and the sandwich was made from supermarket bread and wasn't toasted.
