It was nice to see this better bigger branch of the original Junk Food Vegan Bar from Amsterdam in Barcelona.
Read moreThe restaurant is really funky and despite other reviews I really liked the music.
Coming from Paris the prices aren’t that expensive but by Barcelona standards I did find it a bit more than the average.
We came when the place was empty and asked to be seated at a four seated table to sit next to each other but were told no even though other diners were allowed to as two. I found this petty.
All in all I think it’s a must try for anyone living in or visiting Barcelona. The drinks menu is great and full of variety and the food menu is extensive. Really clean toilets and high covid standards which is reassuring.
Only two Dessert choices which aren’t very varied.
Slow inattentive service.

Very generous portions, and finger likin’ good junk food. Not that junk by the way, very qualitive, every fake meat we tasted were delicious. Dishes with jalapeños were a bit spicier than expected.

Read moreAt first it took a while for the staff to notice us (we were sitting outside), but the staff was very friendly and nice.
We chose burgers and fries. The burger was absolutely great, one of the best we've ever eaten. Plus fries and cola in a glass. Super gastronomic experience. I'm already looking forward to visiting this company again. As a bonus, we received a 25% discount on the next visit.

La comida está muy buena y tiene un ambiente muy llamativo y bonito el local, pero siento que la comida no vale tanto lo que cuesta.
Read morePedimos el plato de Hippie Ribs que serían supuestamente costillas veganas con patatas y el plato era prácticamente todo patatas (con una cantidad de salsa exagerada) y las supuestas costillas era un filete de seitan bastante pequeño y con salsa barbacoa,simplemente, no tenía nada de especial.
Probamos también el sashimi y bueno el aspecto y textura está muy conseguido pero de sabor no se acerca tanto.
Lo dicho , la comida está decente pero creo que debido a todo el marketing que tiene los precios están demasiado inflados.

Delicious burger and interesting shawarma burger - Edit
We ordered a Mc Cruelty Free and a Royal Bestie Shawarma. The first one was delicious, though the bun was breaking up into pieces while eating it. The shawarma one was ok, but I didn't expect it to be with a strong curry and coriander taste, as I'm not a fan and this is not revealed in the ingredients list. It was also a bit too dry for my taste, very little fresh veggies and sauce. We also had Cajun XL fries which were really good. I will visit again to try out the rest of the things on the menu.

The staff was really nice, they also let us know when we entered that they only accept card payment.
The prices are a bit high, but as there aren't lots of vegan junk food places in Barcelona, I'm not going to complain.

The restaurant is very cool, the menu is very attractive. Same for the photogenic side of the burgers. It is beautiful and appetizing! But the dishes are without soul, without much research of taste. It is a bit of an empty shell. We are on the assembly of industrial products, patty, cheddar, bacon... The bun is well done, the salad is fresh, but the sauce is thin, without character. The fries are frozen, without interest. Nothing is really bad, but nothing is really good. However, the price is very high for this type of food.

An Amsterdam classic in Barcelona - Edit
VJFB is an Amsterdam classic, a must go every time I travel there. Not only is the food great but it's also quite unique in AMS. Now they've opened in Barcelona, where vegan restaurants are aplenty but VJFB is so good, that's not a problem!

Me ha gustado mucho mi experiencia en VJFB. La comida llegó rápido (incluso más rápido que los cócteles), y estaba deliciosa. En la carta tenía todo buena pinta, tienen pescado, pollo e incluso costillas!! Y salmón! Nos quedamos con ganas de probar más cosas, así que seguramente volveremos.

I was so hyped to come here. My best friend and my couple had told me about how amazing Amsterdam's VJFB was for years but I couldn't go there since I'm still a student.
Read moreThe experience I had was mostly up to the insane hype. The negatives out of the way : it was pricey, Amsterdam pricey, not Barcelona pricey. Also the food came really slow and I think my rib burger was just alright, and I expected more from this place. Dessert offerings were scarce.
On the brightside the booze was to die for, fries were crispy and so flavorful and decadent. The other burger we had was scrumptious and so so decadent. So, did I overhype myself? Yeah I think so, but if you crave decadent, rich, flavorful junk food and you have the coin, this is the place.

Vaig demanar la burger Royal Smash i no em va decepcionar, tant el pa com el farcit estaven deliciosos. El local és enorme, original i divertit, m'encanta perquè sembla que estiguis en un local de Nova York més que de Barcelona, a més hi sona molt bona música. També vaig demanar el cocktail Vatos Cocos que ve amb un coco natural, rom i suc de pinya i estava molt bo. M'encanta que tot el personal parlava català, a més ens van atendre molt bé en tot moment. Tornaré segur!

I’ve wanted to try this place for some time now and finally have had the opportunity to go. It was absolutely amazing and I will definitely come back. Amazing vegan junk food, great atmosphere and lovely staff. The only thing I’d even consider criticizing is that I did not see any desserts anywhere 😜🙃
