Visited here on a rainy day in Barcelona as we were craving some junk food. We were not disappointed.
Read moreI had the ‘fish’ XO burger and it’s the best I’ve tasted since I stopped eating fish. My partner had the notorious sumo and was absolutely stuffed so full that he could not move for around 30 minutes. We both had a side of fries and my partner also enjoyed the Baileys cocktail for dessert!
Lovely staff, nice vibe and absolutely recommended!

After testing the ones in Amsterdam, I was delighted to find the Vegan Junk Food Bar in Barcelona. The food is terribly decadent and good, relatively reasonable in terms of price. I tried one of the burgers which was perfect for the purpose. Not everything is super fine but the whole experience is what you go there for. There is plenty of room inside and the service is pretty fast, even if it is a bit impersonal.

Es verdad que las hamburguesas estaban muy buenas y toda la ambientación del restaurante es una pasada, pero el precio es muy elevado. Por ejemplo en la Ruta 42 sirven mejores hamburguesas y mas economicas, pero está a las afueras y es un sitio mas modesto.

The food is nice, though a little gimmicky (pink or blue mayonnaise, anyone?). A lot is just from a freezer, so the high prices are not always justified. Our burgers were cold, only after sending them back we got done that were somewhat warm. The service was non-existent. Food served in plastic baskets, we felt some of the rubbish could have been easily avoided.

I am not used to this kind of restaurants. In Madrid most of the vegan restaurants are chill. I appreciate to be able to experience something different with junk food but one the best I have ever had, awesome decoration and great service!

As you can imagine, we loved the Lekkerbeck fizz in the burger, so we ordered Fizz & Chips to finish the amazing sauces they serve with the Sumo Platter.
If you are in Barcelona and want to have a great burger, this is one of the best places you can go in Spain.

The name says it all. This is a cool, fancy place to purchase high quality, expensive vegan junk food. Seems to be patronized by tourists and owned by a company in the Netherlands.

The fish flavor wasn’t overly stated. The size was satisfactorily, but left me hungry for more. The chips, garnish, and spice were exceptionally well done for this genre of food. This meal was a great value, and more reasonably priced than the burgers.

Я бывала в сотнях веганских ресторанов по всему миру. Vegan Junk Food Bar - это место, где хочется заплакать. Вроде бы веганам и так трудно в жизни и это кафе словно старается сделать веганскую жизнь еще неприятнее, чем она есть. Если вы выбираете сесть на улице, вам приходится забираться в неудобную пляжную лавку. Если у вас проблемы со спиной, это действительно больно. Улица грязная и шумная, есть там действительно неприятно. Еду в уличной версии могут принести в пластиковой корзинке (даже если к ней прелагается нож и вилка). Резать в корзинке невозможно, есть очень неудобно. Vegan Junk Food Bar - это самые неудобные бокалы в моей жизни, очень маленький объем напитков, которые не отличаются ничем не интересным. В меню на сайте фотографий нет. В самом баре нет бумажного меню с фото. Это объясняется экологичностью, но на самом деле это ущербно, как и то, что платить можно только по карточке. Без фото: если вы не читаете на английском, вы заказываете наугад. Меню не отличается особым разнообразием. Что действительно оригинально - цветной майонез и цветные булочки бургеров. Но если вы заказываете еду внутри кафе, там полумрак. И нет никакой разницы, какого что цвета. Для чувствительных к цвету пищи людей полумрак это полный провал. Еда очень дорогая, если сравнить со средним чеком по Барселоне. В общем, такое впечатление, что сотрудники кафе не особенно понимают, зачем они существуют. Максимальное неудобство для клиента, абсурдный сумрак, уничтожающий всю оригинальностью меню, неоправданно завышенные цены, скудное меню.

And what it is is more of a gimmick than the best food you'll ever eat, but it is definitely a fun place to go and take pictures. I had the "Daddy Burger" and the mac and cheese balls and a dessert that came in a jar. The mac and cheese balls were actually quite tasty, but the burger was just okay (the pink bun was a bit stale and I didn't love the chick'n), and the dessert was just not very memorable.

We ordered various burgers and an entree salad. The food was delicious and satisfying. Service was excellent. Even a salad, which can be ho hum, was delicious and robust with a creamy cheese sauce and crispy chick-style pieces.

Overall nice atmosphere. Great selection of food. I had the fish and chips, the first time. Is isn’t the style you get in England. But it never is. It’s your home style chips. The overall dish was a 7/10. Then the other time I went I got a prawn Caesar salad, which was nice. It was over powered with the flavour of the sauce. The prawn I enjoyed very much. A lot of lettuce, which I don’t mind at all…also well it’s what the dish is known for. The grated cheese didn’t make sense, needed to be parmesan. Overall I ate most of it, enjoyed the prawns…so it was good…7/10. I would go back and try more. Nice to see a spot like this.
