Veggies good- but too many items FRIED - Edit
The cabbage, candied yams, Mac & “cheez” were tasty. BUT, Unfortunately most of the other items on menu were FRIED! I DoNot use/eat oil so very limited in things I could try.

2024: After being away from Tampa for several years, we were excited to visit. The owner who took our order was not the friendly person we encountered when it first opened. The establishment seemed to be still on some sort of lockdown. It was an unpleasant & awkward experience.

2017: Formally the location for Just 4 U Vegan (now in Georgia), Vegan International Co. Kitchen & Market is going to be a must stop when we are in Tampa.
Specials varies daily. Menu includes: Curry, Jerk, BBQ, or Brown sauce served over grilled Soy Earth protein, Tofu, or Ocean protein. Sandwiches: BLT with mayo, on three slices of bread, Jerk or Grilled Veggie Burgers with Lettuce, Tomato, and Mayo, Vegan Philly with Sauteed Onions, Soup: varies - Pumpkin, Split Pea, Lentil, Chick'un & Vegetable, Dessert: Varies - Muffins: Carrot, Raisin, Coconut Blueberry, Carob, and Banana Nut). The sorrel is authentic and delicious. Smoothies: Green Passion, Mango Medley, Coconut Delight, and Strawberry. Offers Ginseng Up, Malta, other great drinks as well. The empanadas are hot and fresh.

I forgot to take pictures before I started eating 😩 but it was good. There were so many good options, it was hard to decide. Everything looked good. I had the lions mane nuggets. Nice and crispy, just could have used a little more seasoning. The Mac and cheese was better than expected. #Veganuary

Nick and staff are always pushing the limits and that’s what keeps me coming back! Wednesdays are great because you can do two gyros and an order of wings for a dub. They did a take on that place with the lobsters and man did they hit it. The gyro fries are a great try too!

Vegan International is a Tampa staple! I love that they brought back their milkshakes, and now they also do flurries! I love having a place where I can go get delicious food AND a delicious shake. Definitely try their Gyro or Chopped Cheese! I also can't resist their Sweet and Spicy Wings. The owners are so nice as well!!

The gyro platter was delicious. I ordered it decked out with pretty much all of the extras and the total started to creep up to where I wondered whether it would he worth it. I was pleased to find that it absolutely was worth it. With all of the extras and double rice and vegan meat, it's easily two meals for me... and I am *not* a light eater. The pictures don't do it justice. It is a lot of food.
Read moreThe caramelized bourbon banana bread may be the best banana bread I've ever had. After eating just half of the gyro platter, I could only finish half of this delicious banana bread. The bright side is that I have enough of each left over to eat the same big, filling meal tomorrow.

I got the lion sandwich and it looked as good as the advertisement; maybe even better. It could use a bit more seasoning though to get it to taste more like chicken if that’s the goal. I had the collard greens on the side which were delicious.

We ordered some burgers, a chopped cheese, chikn gyro and the Mac n cheez with lions mane mushrooms. Gyro was tasty, kids really liked the fries. I liked the Mac n cheez but didn't get "chicken" from the lions mane, borderline fish taste. Mac was a little bland. Collard greens were yummy. Would definitely eat again! Also like how clearly labeled the business was, easy to find!

I got the lions mane nuggs and vegan Mac and I loved them both. Great texture on both and super tasty with generous portions. I also got 3 of there vegan sugarcane drumsticks and whoa! I wish I ordered more😂
And apparently you can also buy different vegan grocery items too(when they have them in stock) can't wait to go here again!
Biggest downside is no inside seating(pick up and delivery only)

We got food from here when we got stuck in Tampa for a night after a canceled flight. We didn't know that they stop taking orders about 15 minutes before closing, but the cook was very kind and let us order and even gave us tasters of their ice cream. The food was super delicious.

it was $35 for two plates of the mac n cheese and lions mane nuggets, but honestly I think the portion was pretty good compared to those of other similarly priced plates elsewhere (just got two burgers and fries for that price, this was more and better)! the mac n cheese was a bit bland but we took it to go and could add more to it, the mushrooms and toppings were yummy and they gave you a good number of pieces.

i have wanted to eat at vegan international co for so so long and i was finally in the area !! i was super happy but also sad that i missed the plate specials which is what i reeeally wanted to try. the location i believe is pickup only and is fairly obvious by the bright pink vegan detailing on the window. the food was ready a few minutes ahead of time.
Read morefirst i tried the veggie plate. mine consisted of candied, steamed cabbage, collards, and rice. the rice had a nice kick to it, and i really enjoyed the steamed cabbage. the collards were good but not the best i’ve had, and the candied yams weren’t my favorite. if i ordered this again, i’d probably go for a few different sides.
i also ordered a special they had: the cauliflower nugget mac box! i ordered it with jerk bbq sauce, which i thought was pretty good! i wish the box came with a bit more sauce, but i liked how crunchy and crispy the cauliflower was. the mac and cheese was also next level 🙌 and the portion was generous! the mac definitely beats a lot of dairy mac and cheese i’ve had.
lastly i just HAD to try the drumsticks. i ordered them with bbq sauce and was in love with how much sauce they came with! these drums were super realistic; the texture of the chicken was spot-on and the “bone” was executed very well. they are messy to eat, but these were so good i would have them with every meal!
vegan international co is a must-try if you’re in tampa, and i’m definitely coming back to try more of their specials and order just a few (20 ) more orders of drumsticks!

On my last day in Tampa we ate here and I ordered a gyro on pita with the beyond steak and WOW it was so delicious!! Very flavorful and so fresh. I really recommend this place. The staff were so friendly and had good recommendations. Next time I’m here I will be back!! There are some small outdoor tables but seems like more of a to-go place FYI😄They have a selection of baked goodies that are also great !

Ordered 2 Drumstick Plates for me and a non-vegan colleague. One was Buffalo another was sweet n spicy. The vegan wings were good but tiny. Though best part of the meal for sure. Colleague enjoyed that part. Tried the vegan Mac & cheese…very okay and kinda bland. Colleague was not a fan. Collard greens were good. Overall small portions for a lot of money tbh.

Food tastes really good. We’re on the road so this was convenient stop. I’m not giving 5 stars because nothing is healthy. All dishes are made of seitan, soy and impossible, and vegan drinks have cane sugar. There are two tables outside but it’s an order a pick up type of place. If you like vegan fast food this is for you: tasty big portions in decent prices.
