Best gyoza in Japan, lovely service - Edit
We went to this place twice on our trip and regret not coming more. The first time we went we were in the area. The second time we went we actually got the train from Shibuya out here just for these gyoza.
Read moreIt is a cute place in a lovely area. The lady who runs the place is so lovely and we felt so welcome both times - friendliest service we had in Japan.
It is essentially a gyoza place that does really good drinks too. The cream in the drinks was phenomenal - we got a cold matcha creamy drink and a hot cinnamon drink.
The first time we went we each got the gyoza set where you try one of each eleven flavours. When we returned, we knew which flavours we loved and got those ones specifically. Loved the kim chi gyoza, garlic gyoza, ginger gyoza, and spring onion gyoza especially.

Cute little spot - Edit
Please note, if walking from the Iriya station, the restaurant is in a quiet residential area with lots of small roads/alleys. I got lost waking to the restaurant and back to the station. I wondered if I was in the right area because there were no other restaurants or businesses on the same road.
Read moreAs for the gyoza, get the sampler so you can try them all. The gyoza wrapper was thick and similar to pasta. Also I’m not a sauce person with my gyoza so I didn’t mind, the flavor of the fillings were good on their own.
Pros: Outdoor seating, Friendly service
Cons: Difficult to navigate to location, Similar wrapper colors; couldn’t tell apart

Please visit this place! - Edit
This is one of my favourite places I’ve visited in all of Tokyo. I came alone and had a lovely time. The owner is so wonderful and lovely, she makes all of the gyoza herself and let me tell you, the gyozas are outstanding. I had the set and I loved every size one. I ordered them steamed instead of pan fried. It really comes down to personal preference but my personal favourites were the garlic, the celery and the green pepper. I wish I had more time in Tokyo so I could return and try some of the drinks with another set. It’s really worth a visit even if it is a little out of the way. The owner will make you feel so welcome😄thank you for your wonderful service and food😄

Every single one* also she doesn’t serve them with soy sauce because you’re supposed to enjoy the flavours inside each one :)

Quiet spot with a couple tables inside and out. I got the sampler (fried) and loved every one. The ginger miso soy meat and shiitake soy meat were my top two but every bite was wonderful.

My Favorite Gyoza in Tokyo - Edit
This is by far my favorite gyoza in all of Tokyo. We had the fried set of twelve. Every different one is so unique and full of flavor that with each bite you can taste the complexity and the love with which it was prepared! The drinks are delicious as well. The owner, long time vegan herself, is really friendly and kind and such a pleasure to talk to!

Nice place to have some soft drinks in coffee time, or take out vegan gyoza with a variety of different tastes. The gyoza is so tasty and I really enjoy each different tastes. They don't offer other foods, so this is a place not for having full meal... I wanted to have rice and miso soup too!

Great Gyoza place! - Edit
Great all vegan gyoza place very easy to get to around the Ueno area (closest station is Uguisudani station, one station from Ueno on the Yamanote line). Really tasty with a range of flavours! The manager is a really friendly lady who will try her best to speak to you! My second time in and I was kindly given a pitcher of Jasmine tea as service and she made a small mistake and gave me the a few multiples of the same flavour. She came rushing out apologising and made three more of the flavour she forgot. I wouldn’t have even noticed. Very high attention to detail. She also could remember me from my first visit. Fantastic service making you feel valued!

Full of flavour - Edit
Some of the best gyoza i have ever had in Japan and the best I've had in Tokyo. So many different fillings/flavours. They are all full or flavour and are pretty 'juicy.' So they don't require any dipping sauce. They also serve drinks and lattes.

Nice vegan gyoza and drinks shop - Edit
Fully vegan gyoza shop that also serves coffee and matcha with vegan milk (soy, almond, or oat), plus a couple of other fresh drinks. It's located not too far from Uguisudani Station in the Yamanote train line, and Iriya station in the Hibiya metro line, right north of Ueno.
Read moreThe owner is super nice, and is a long time vegan herself, so you don't have to worry about having to explain veganism or what you can or cannot eat, as usually happens in non vegan restaurants.
The gyozas are light and colorful. The owner prepares different "skins" for the gyoza, in around seven different colors, and she uses no artificial flavors or additives, so it's all plant based. The gyozas come in different flavors and skins like: shiitake (normal skin and drain fruit pink skin), celery, green pepper, and onion miso (black skin), and can be ordered fried, boiled, or frozen (for takeout).
Most drinks can be ordered both cold or hot, and a couple of special drinks come with soy cream on top. The owner also uses vegan sugar for the drinks.
The shop itself has an outdoor area in the entrance with four tables, so you can choose if you want to eat inside or outside.
Credit cards are accepted.
Pros: Fully vegan with no additives or chemicals, Open outdoor area, Super nice vegan owner
Cons: It may be a bit out of the way for most people
