Read moreAs a Vegan & Native Houstonian, seeing a Shipley’s would always make me a little sad. But let me tell you that their recipe is closer to my memory of Shipley’s than any other donut shop (vegan or not) I’ve tried!
I loved the Green Tea and Taro donut, and the Blueberry Cake is great! So many fun flavors of donuts and kolaches.

Best Doughnuts I Have Ever Had - Edit
I have had a lot of vegan treats and desserts, but when it came to vegan doughnuts I couldn’t find any worthwhile until now. The owners are so nice and the doughnuts were Amazing! I wanted to buy kolaches but they were sold out. I will go earlier next time!!!
Read moreSome People have commented that the price seems high but high quality vegan products are not exactly cheap either. It is the crap food products that are super cheap and bad for us. It is still a good value to me and I am happy to support a small business.

Cons: They don’t work with UberEats, DoorDash, etc, Only open until 3pm so go early!

Vegan donut-gelato is a humble little slice of vegan heaven right here in houston. The workers are kind, the food is great, and they open just as early as any other donut shop. My favorite thing to do is to get here just after opening and secure a box of fresh glazed donuts. I can guarantee that these will satisfy any craving you may have.

Donuts are delicious, I went for Kolaches today but they were out but that is ok, it means they are selling a lot. This place just opened up and they were full on a cold and rainy Sunday. Will try tomorrow for the Kolaches since they open everyday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Breakfast at the donut shop - Edit
I had a good experience at the donut shop! I was very happy to see they opened a vegan donut place close to my house. The sign outside is very big and visible. Inside you have a good selection of donuts and kolaches. I tried both and they were delicious!!!!
Read moreThe staff was friendly and included little hot sauce packets for the kolaches. They also offered me a new soy chorizo kolache which was the best! I highly recommend it! The only thing I would change are the prices of the kolaches , 4.50$ for the large kolache seemed too high. But overall good experience and delicious treats!

We got the bear claw, fritter, egg rolls (Unique Vietnamese spring rolls) and a bunch of stuff to go. The best claw is warmed up and unbelievable. Got a kolache to go. Can’t wait to try my first one.
