I finally managed to go and eat at Vegan Chay (the first time it had just opened and the opening hours were not very clear) and I loved it. The menu is very large, so we took a long time to decide, because my plan was to work my way through most of the Sushi-like dishes! The food was very tasty, I liked the various Sushi-flavours but I found the "mock" duck even better. Nice place, good drinks, prices in line with Munich.

Da die meisten konventionellen thailaendischen, koreanischen, chinesischen und vietnamesischen Restaurants keinen blassen Schimmer davon haben, was vegetarisch oder vegan bedeutet und leider fast immer Fisch-, Garnelen- oder Austernsosse als vegetarisch (und teilweise sogar als vegan) ansehen, ist ein Restaurant, das wirklich und sogar ausschliesslich vegane Speisen anbietet, etwas ganz besonders.

Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und haben, weil wir das Essen scharf bestellten, sich auch erkundigt, ob es scharf genug gewuerzt sei. Zudem waren die Leute sympathisch und authentisch in dem Sinne, dass man nicht den EIndruck hatte, dass sie sich irgendwie verstellten.
Dass die Preise nicht niedrig sind, ist in Muenchen verzeihlich. Sie sind auch nicht exorbitant teuer. Zu zweit mit Vor- und Nachspeise kann man dort fuer 55 euro sehr gut essen (und ist dann auch pappsatt).
Nachdem AnSa leider so ploetzlich zugemacht hatte, entstand eine sehr grosse kulinarische Luecke in Muenchen. Das Chay Restaurant, bei dem der alte Küchenchef von AnSa arbeitet, hat diese Luecke zu meiner grossen Freude nun wieder geschlossen.

Sehr leckere vegane Vietnamesische Speisen - Edit
Das Restaurant hat eine große Karte bei welcher es einem nicht leicht fällt sich zu entscheiden. Die Gerichte waren äußerst lecker. Habe zum ersten mal veganes Hühnchen und vegane Ente probiert. Auch die Nachspeisen waren ziemlich gut. Ich kann hier wirklich einen Besuch empfehlen. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich. Das Restaurant ist nicht weit von Tram und Bus entfernt.

I was disappointed to find out Ansa had closed down but this place is a perfect alternative. Their rice and noodle dishes are really good and the mock meats are delicious. They have a great choice of sushi. Absolutely recommended!

Whoever knew and loved Ansa Restaurant will also love this place. Seems like the cook who worked there now works here. Also they added sushi with mock fish and some more items to their menu.

My gf and I shared 4 kinds of sushis with two different mock fishes, as well as Udon Xao. The sushis were all a bit sticky and the mock fish had no flavor and was rubbery. We were a bit disappointed, since it was the costliest restaurant on our trip.

I have only once before eaten such amazing vegan "fake meat" meals before (in Vienna), and am therefore more than happy to have found such a place in Germany now! If you love(d) the taste of meat and also like asian flavours, this is the place to be. The owner is, above the great food, very friendly, and goes an extra mile or even two for his guests. When we visit, we always take additional food with us for the next day :-)

Die Auswahl und das Essen sind unglaublich. Die Pho ist sehr gut, nur der Holy basil hat gefehlt. Die mock Ente ist unglaublich gut, die Portionen sehr groß!
Auch die Vorspeisen sind definitiv zum teilen gemacht, der vietnamesische pancake ist sehr authentisch und lecker!
Werde bald auch das Sushi probieren, könnte hier täglich essen. Für die Portionen sind auch die Preise angemessen. Man kann sich auch sehr gut ein Hauptgericht (zb Ente mit Curry und Reis) und eine Vorspeise teilen. Vielleicht ist dann sogar noch Platz für eins der Desserts.

Amazing Vietnamese Food - Edit
We returned to Munich recently and were sad to discover Ansa had closed it's doors. However, we discovered this absolutely beautiful place that was easy to find and the menu was great. So many delicious meals to choose from. Staff were really friendly and attentive. I'd highly recommend to anyone.

Great Selection, Nice Staff, Interesting Options - Edit
If you like a great variety of Asian food, just go here! There's a lot of fried noodles, currys, sushi and pho on the menu; very interesting creations at that. They work with a lot of mock meat that is bluntly labeled as duck, beef, shrimp or the like. I had to make sure with the waitress if the restaurant really was a hundred percent vegan. Anyways, they offer quite interesting deserts, as well.

Great new vegan Vietnamese place! - Edit
We've been there today, three days after their opening. They have great traditional vietnamese food with fresh and tasty vegetables and if you want with vegan “meat“ or “fish“. They also have a sushi menu with vegan tuna and vegan salmon. The atmosphere is nice and cozy and the service was fast and very friendly. We can't wait to come back and try more of the dishes.
