great cheesy pizza - Edit
two of us shared a large 16” broccoli pesto pizza for only $27, which was super value-for-money. this place serves the best pizza cheese i’ve ever tried! wish it came with more toppings, though the pizza tasted great regardless. would love to revisit for a shot at their other flavours. ☺️

Good vegan options - Edit
There's a clear vegan section of the pizza menu plus some bowls and sandwiches, clearly labelled.
Read moreWe had a vegan tandoori and a vegan sausage and arugula pizza, both good and surprisingly nicely presented, given how fast foody the place seems. There was a bit too much of the chipotle sauce on the tandoori pizza, which made it slightly too heavy and a bit sweet.
Very nice service too.

Brocolli pesto vegan pizza - Edit
Delicious! It was unusually warm for Vancouver, but vegan pizza is hard to resist. Great flavors, made to order.

Best new vegan pizza was Vegan Cave, which isn’t what this place is anymore - Edit
EDIT: Vegan Cave is no more. I’ll leave the review up which was for Vegan Cave, but I have yet to go to Tanoor which is no longer an all vegan place unfortunately.
Read moreWe’re pretty lucky in Vancouver with quite a few options for vegan pizza. Quite a few non-veg restaurants have vegan cheese now, but it’s extra cool to see exclusively vegan joints make great food and thrive. As I write this, Vegan Cave is still new but is also unique in that it’s a family run small business with a dedicated staff. I’ll admit that a mistake on an order was made once but they immediately apologized, and made a new pizza for free. Plus Ohmygoodness the the pizza is so dang good. I’m not gluten free or paleo so I haven’t tried their alternative crusts, but I hear good things. The wheat crust is amazing and the cheese they make for the pizza so good. Maybe one day I’ll try the menu items that aren’t pizza, but dang so good.
The only drawback is it’s a little small so not ideal for a big gathering/eat in experience, but take out or delivery is a tasty option! Plus they have a desert case!
Bathroom note: at first glance they don’t appear to have one, but just ask the staff and they can let you through to one.

Pizza was very tasty and service was sweet. - Edit
January 2023 and still open, but they offer meat options now too and it's called Tandoor pizza and vegan, I believe. Loads of vegan options though, highly recommend! #Veganuary

It's not vegan cave anymore. - Edit
First of all, I don't think it's called vegan cave anymore and it is not full vegan as many reviews state it is because they people there pointed out the menu on my right while looking at the one in front of me when I asked for vegan pizzas.
Read moreSecond of all they don't sell yerba mate drinks nor they knew what I was talking about. Also no kambucha is available either.
Third, they didn't ask me what kind of crust I wanted and they decided to make it regular wheat.
Forth, it took 5min to make it and it was cold and really tasteless.
I'm not racist but I feel like people are when they ask you where you from out of the blue and for no reason ( yes, I was asked that by them) and one of them had the audacity to welcoming back to the city of Vancouver ( like if she represented the entire community of the city of Vancouver) pretty condescending people with a high level of arrogance because after I was checked in, pay them for the cold pizza they served me, they went all the way to the back like really not trying to keep the interrogations/"so called conversation"
Pretty awful and detrimental experience I had here on August 29th 2022. Like I said there's no vegan cave sign anymore and they have a non-vegan menu now.
I was not going to review this place but after choosing them over some other places I wanted to go to, could help somebody else being there just for the day like myself who wants to have a warm vegan snack as anyone would like to get. It's pretty obvious I'm not coming back there.

Good but not memorable - Edit
Good food but nothing memorable. It is also quite pricey (I imagine in order to afford the insane rent). I'd go again to support but it's not my first option.

Amazing Cheeze! GF vegan approved. - Edit
Pizza is really good and they have gf crust available and most pizza’s are or can be made gf. They make their vegan cheeze in-house and it’s so good! I got the freaky greeky and thought. thought the feta was amazing.

A new concept for me but really liked the two slices we ordered. I loved the broccoli and artichoke one with ranch. Homemade almond cheese is the best. Walnut brownie was tasty too.

Cozy vegan spot - Edit
Needs better outdoor signage (walked right past it the first time), but lovely spot for tasty vegan pizza. They also had cold vegan dessert options, but I didn't leave room to try any. The bowls also looked sooo good. I will have to go back and try other items.

The best Pizza and the best salads - Edit
My first time at Vegan Cave. We had the Olympus Salad and a half and half Pizza, Freaky Greeky and No Mames easily 10/10. So good. My non-Vegan friend loved it too. Very friendly, helpful staff, we were greeted the moment we walked in, we were asked if we had been here before and then he explained and recommended some items. Delicious, will definitely be back❣️❣️❣️😋😋😋 5stars. Everything is so fresh and so healthy.

I’ve been back 2 more times in one week. I live about 30-40 mins away and it’s well worth the drive. If you go there tell Abraham that Tracey and Sherry sent you 🤣, they must think we are crazy going back so many times. I have since tried the Buddah on the beach pizza and the New York style and Mango cheesecakes all mmmmmm.
Pros: All Vegan , The friendliest and most helpful service, Soooooo delicious
Cons: Not in my neighbourhood
