mouth watering dishes! - Edit
The "brie" on spelt bread was fantastic! I have tried some other pastries and can definitely recommend trying the donuts and tompouce. Tastes like the non-vegan ones ;) Besides that: good variety of other niche products on sale; plenty vegan cheeses and meets. It's even in the city centre (ish); must visit!

Cozy place and yummy pie - Edit
This charming coffee shop doubles as a vegan grocery store with items like chocolates, chips, sauces, etc, including items produced in Holland - though most products are German. The Dutch apple pie was very yummy and the coffee was also on point.

Lovely place on the canals. Great lunch and smoothies (the peanut one is to die for). Their pies and pastries are also very delicious. It also has a tiny shop with beautiful products.

Fantastic vegan cafe and shop - Edit
We nearly missed this place and really glad we didn't, it was so good we had to go back! The selection is fairly limited but it doesn't matter because everything is really delicious. We both had vegan brie on lovely spelt bread with fig compote, rocket and walnuts - yum! And shared a cheese and spinach parcel, small and very nice. The desserts are amazing - we shared the tompouce (traditional Dutch cream pastry) and Dutch apple pie, which comes with optional 'cream'. The shop has a huge selection (for a small place), with lots of things we hadn't seen elsewhere, as well as some special hard-to-find favourites such as Vegusto, Booja booja / Ben and Jerry's ice cream, etc. I think we hadn't really noticed this place from the listing because we were more excited about burgers than sandwiches and pastries, but it's actually a really outstanding place, with the desserts particularly unmissable. Really friendly and nice atmosphere too.

The blonde girl serving me was really nice and recommended me the cream cheese wrap and it was amaaaazing. Really simple (red bell pepper, cucumber, onion, vegan cream cheese) but it was really good and refreshing. I also had the vegan Oreo doughnut wich was also really nice. The staff was so friendly and nice and will definetly come back :)

Great store and tasty breakfast cafe - Edit
Me and my gf went to Vegabond Cafe and it was a very pleasant experience not only the small store assortment was pretty decent - gardein products, fantastic food, cliff etc. but the food itself, was very tasteful. Price is ok. The ambience is nice and personal is friendly.
Read moreThe place itself does not have enough room for more than 15 People I guess, this has become a problem lately, as the popularity rose rapidly. So maybe we could expect a larger store/cafe in the future.

cozy café - Edit
they've got amazing donuts. Vegabond is always a good spot to drop by when you're in the area. it is a very cozy little café close to the city centre. the staff is very warm and friendly AND DID I MENTION THEY HAVE DONUTS. I can also wholeheartedly recommend the shakes they make, especially the green one (peanut, spinach, hempseeds,...)

Filling, but still light and healthy - Edit
We went there for breakfast and got the overnight oats and the smoothie bowl. Both were healthy, yummy but filling and kept us satiated for a long time:)
Read moreAlso, I'd recommend you to try the Dutch apple pie - so good!
What was even better for me, was that they have a decent range of vegan cheeses, meat substitutes and even vegan kimchi, loved it! This definitely is an added value to the store, considering that Amsterdam's supermarkets barely have any vegan options, such as cheese.
Go there!

A 'must go to vegan place'!!! - Edit
Really cool vegan place! Beautiful design, places to eat awesome vegan food (like wraps, pies, donuts, candy etc) and to do some vegan groceries like cookies, candy, ‘faux meat’, herbs, kala namak, vegan cheese cake freezer etc. In the city center (close to the Anne Frank house / Rozengracht). They also sell some vegan cooking books (also English). Cool place to hang out…

Fresh! - Edit
We went there to catch a quick bite. The hummus wrap was very tasty for how simple for all the ingredients. For only being there one time I can tell the chef really does a great job in flavorful variety. It is also a big health store. The service is very friendly. Very limited places to eat, so it’s the only downside. Located in a very beautiful neighborhood by the canal. Highly recommend if you’re looking for clean, healthy and happy food !

Lovely Cafe - Edit
The cafe was too busy to sit in and eat so we got our food and drinks to take away and sat on a bench outside. The food was lovely and there was plenty of choice. It’s not cheap but it’s 100% vegan so we didn’t mind paying. The Cheese & Spinach Pasty and the Snickers Bar Cake were amazing!
