Hot and Delicious

I had the vegan kabab which had an interesting texture and had a great taste, and (super spicy) momos (buns) filled with vegan ground meat. The food is quite filling, but very spicy, you’ve been warned! I definitively recommand!

Great!

We had a delicious dinner here! It’s a simple space but with friendly staff and vibe. Such good vegetarian Indian food and a bit of a relief as finding good vegetarian food can be a bit challenging in tokyo. My partner and I visited for dinner looking for an easy vegetarian alternative close to where we were staying. We were very pleasantly surprised! I’ve had plenty of Indian food in my life but I thought this was especially good. The idili and momos were great and the curries that we chose were both delicious! One South Indian is eggplant curry and one okra curry. Fresh veges and great flavours with friendly staff who spoke English which was a bonus. Lots of vegan options as well! :)

Pros: Great food, Friendly staff , English menu and English speaking staff

Cozy, friendly and yum!

Really good indian food, 100% vegetarian with vegan options available. The place is small and cozy, and the staff is very friendly (speaks english!). They have a few set options in the lunch menu that are between ¥700~¥1000.

Pros: 100% vegetarian.

Best Indian food I’ve had outside of India

I’m quite picky when it comes to Indian food. I’ve been there for half a year. And never tasted food like it was in India. This came really close. Loved it! Everything is clearly marked vegan/non vegan. Friendly staff. Would recommend it!

Pros: Really nice Indian food, Friendly staff, Affordable

Cons: Non

First timer

It was great and the food was delicious. It's a small area with friendly servers. I really liked the complimentary snack before our meal, and the complimentary milk tea afterwards. It was a very welcoming experience and I would love to try more items on the menu.

Pros: Absolutely no meat anywhere to be seen, Priced well with good-sized portions

Cons: Not all items that contain dairy are specifically

Fantastic!

We eat (and cook) a lot of Indian food, so not easily impressed- but this place definitely impressed! Friendly staff, good prices, and food that was impossible to stop eating (having done the usual order-too-much thing). Amazing lemon rice! Lots of vegan options, all well marked on menu.

Pros: Great food, friendly staff

Cons: None

was a regular, never going back :(

I used to come very often and recommended this restaurant to friends (I am the friend mentioned in the previous review). However, the staff served me rotten orange juice (slightly fermented flavor, but I only realized when slime came into my mouth after drinking most of the liquid portion). There were no other customers around, and the staff pulled the slime out of the cup with a fork to examine it when I explained they should toss the juice. They pulled out the juice from the fridge, announced l to me it was fresh, then put it back in front of us. The staff all know me as I came often, and yet chose to not give an apology so I am deeply disappointed. It makes me nervous to think about how they manage their ingredients in general with such an attitude. I was sick afterwards and sad that I lost my go-to place to eat in the area. Since then I've began going to the nearby Veg Herb Saga, and the service has been top notch and the food has been fresh from all my experiences!!

Pros: vegan food

Cons: Poor service, Food safety concerns, Rude staff

Don't judge a book by its cover

From the outside it looks unlikely, but this place serves amazing Indian food. With such a small kitchen, it's hard to believe how many items are on the menu. English on the menu and vegan options are clearly listed. The food was authentically Indian and was the only place in Japan that I saw real basmati rice in. Stuffed ourselves and didn't hurt the wallet too much. Excellent.

Pros: English speaking staff and menu, heaps of options

Cons: not much seating

Well marked menu and good food

The staff spoke good English and what seemed to be a good mix of other languages and the menu had dishes marked for vegans and for people with other dietary restrictions. The food was very tasty and I’d definitely recommend this place for a lunch out.

Pros: Well marked menu, Staff with good language skills

Delicious!

The food was very flavorful and came out very quickly. English speaking staff are available, and they were very friendly and helpful. The menu has green dots to signify what items are vegan. We chose the 3rd spice level, which was moderately spicy without being inedible. The samosas were delicious! The food is also halal certified.

Pros: many options, English speaking staff, good prices

Desperately seeking food!

After spending a couple of hours chasing up other veg listed eateries, I finally found the veg kitchen. Hint: the door slides, not hinges...
OK, once in, the welcome was warm and friendly and in English. The food suggestions were good and the food was wonderful. My sprouted salad was divine, followed by a mild curry and drinks. All the time, water was replenished. Overall, a good food place. Recommended.

Pros: Veggie only, no meat

Cons: Took a while to get there from my lodgings, but t

enjoyed the food

I'm Indian so love a good Indian restaurant. I'm quite critical so it didn't get a 5 but I did enjoy the food and Indian films they had on to. The food is authentic, I would go there again. Try the special platter for starters

Good authentic food

The restaurant is quite small so it might get a bit crowded on the weekends, but my friend and I didn't have to wait to get a table. The waiter was very nice and when I told him I was vegan he let me know the option in the lunch menu they had for vegans (the rest is vegetarian). The food was delicious, not the best indian food I've had, but for the price of the menu (1250¥) it was more than acceptable. If I happen to be around Ueno I will definitely be back again.

Pros: delicious food and nice portions, lunch menu and good prices

Cons: small sitting area

The food was excellent and on par with Indian food from India. It has a wide selection of food and the staff will likely cater to all dietary restrictions. Reasonably priced as well and service is prompt.

The food was great and definitely what I needed after searching for nice vegan food in Japan for days

Pros: absolutely loads of vegan options with markers to

Great Birthday Meal in Tokyo

I went here with some friends for my birthday. The staff were so friendly and made us feel really welcome, they spoke English, Japanese and Hindi. I'm a vegan and they were able to point out tons of vegan options on the menu, there was also a sign saying that vegans were well catered for. My Omnivore friends and I ordered entirely vegan dishes and had an absolute feast. Great food, great value. They have easy to use free WiFi as well. We had a great night, I would definitely go back again if I had the chance.
